Went crazy today, crafted an entire ilvl 110 HQ Ninja Scouting Set! Also have a complete Crafted Kirimu HQ Bard set, took some pics and put it on the Lodestone, looks slick as Hunter Green!

Having reached Level 50, some of the fun of running through dungeons is gone. There's really no point in fighting mobs now, which sad.

There are probably lots of things SE could do to make fighting them fun even at max level. But it doesn't seem like any are going to be implemented. Do the majority of players just not care?

Squeenix needs to take a good hard look at their loot system for the future, that's for sure.

Speaking of, I wonder if they are experimenting with a token system for 3.0? Since there is tokens for myth gear dropping in dungeons now.

I can imagine the loot tables being much bigger in 3.0 so they might be experimenting with token systems for then.

Let's hope they learn to cut down on the number of crafting mats in boss chests. But those shits in normal chests. No one needs elixers or ethers anymore. Save the boss chests for actual gear like in all of the other dungeons before 2.2

Man I would love to try being a DPS class in a dungeon/guildhest for once but NO ever since tuesday i have not gotten a SINGLE duty to proc.
Of course tank/healer duty procs instantly, but that's not the point :(

Welp, looks like my agenda for patch 2.4 is:

Gear up MNK
Gear up my retainers (can you use ST gear for this?).
Gear up my DRG (just because, ST or Sold gear)
Gear up my MIN/BTN/FSH (I like these more than crafting in general)
Gear up CUL (that said, I like cooking stuff!)
Level as many DoW/M classes up as I can manage.
Catch up and run previous coils.
Finish EX Primals? (Yeah, right)

depends, would you be able to spend a good chunk of your money?

for CPU, the Intel Core i5-4690K 3.5GHz Quad-Core Processor is still one of the best for gaming especially if you wanna go somewhat of a cheap route.

If you want the expensive route, the Intel Core i7-5930K which is around....600 dollars...

for GPU, the EVGA GeForce GTX 970 4GB Superclocked ACX 2.0 Video Card should hit around even higher than the high setting (probably can hit max imo). But if you can't shell out $350.00, you can always go for a 660Ti

Yes I've been doing my freakin research on this for November

I don't really care about having the game look super nice. Medium (with a lot of things turned off) is sufficient for me. Most important thing for me is FPS and resolution. I imagine that's mostly on the CPU.

It really really depends on the game on whether its dependent on CPU or GPU that will have a steady FPS/resolution

In FFXIV's case I personally believe its more GPU dependent than CPU, however you shouldn't neglect on CPU as well since both GPU/CPU help towards the FPS/resolution quality.

Games trying to go with 1080p+ would require more GPU compared to CPU

so my suggestion for this is:

somewhat cheap
Intel Core i5-4690K
GTX 660 Ti

mediumish
Intel Core i5-4690K
GTX 970

expensiveish
Intel Core i7-5930K
GTX 970 or GTX 980

I'm pretty sure there's other tech savvy people who'd recommend a different type of suggestion if you don't like what I have here.

Edit:
somewhat cheap
resolution goes from medium to highish 45- 60 FPS

mediumish
resoultion goes from high to max 50-60 FPS (guesstimating the FPS)

expensiveish
max resolution 60 FPS

Last night I opened up my weekend staying up all night, but I got some stuff done in this game. Renewed my confidence in my tanking by hitting up Turns 6-8. I came out with the High Allagan Sabatons of Fending, some sand, a UAT and Oil, and a I finally feel like I'm back into the game again. Then I hit ninja hard and went from 28-36. I've gotta plenty of work to do on my tanks, so time to get to work!

I started queueing for Chimera because it only takes like 5 minutes and gives a pretty good return with the new player bonus, but since this morning I've had nothing but all ninja groups with people who have already done it. RIP easiest tomestones of my life.

They help me to do duty but I have to solo story quest to unlock dungeon.

They cannot play with me because they did all the quests.

the solo story instances are the only thing they can't help you with, they are designed to be solo for everyone.

They can do leves or any dungeon or anything else with you whenever you want.

Oh yeah it's so fun trying to recover after an assortment of mistakes. Each one unique yet eerily the same. And they never end. Endless hours of fun. I'm gonna slit my wrists!

They stated at the Fan Fest, that they're working on a token system now, in anticipation of applying it to the first high difficulty raid in 3.0.

On a similar subject, I really hope that standardize Savage Raids, for all future Coil-like Raids. It'd give them a good excuse to balance out regular mode Raids to being a little more approachable to mainstream skill level players while still giving a the really high end players something to do.

Granted, titles aren't really good enough for that. Personally I'd just put down identical equipment with a slight gearset bonus, like, +1 determination and vit for each additional piece equipped.

It wouldnt even result in a 5 Ivl increase if you had the whole set, but it'd still be a worthwhile if albeit subtle bonus.

Trying to sign up for FFXIV...uh is their email system broken? I've tried signing up with my gmail account, made a yahoo account and even used my school email and nothing has been sent to me yet.

The fuck square?

Edit: Seems like gmail wasn't refreshing for me and the email finally got sent to my new Yahoo account...yay.

Finally after some dedication and using a dumb-proof img that helps set positions for hailstorm i got shiva downed and farmed it like hell :3

I love the battle as tank, it's even more fun than being offtank in levi ex, kudos to the guy who designed the battle. I wish coil 2 was as awesome (i always thought its mechanics were unfun ;))

Here's the img for shiva hailstorm if anyone is willing to use it
