Is there anywhere I can get an online code for gametime? I looked around and it seemed like I could only find physical ones that had to be shipped. I want to force convince my friend to play with me by giving him a couple months.

I've never purchased anything from the S-E store, but they carry sub codes.

http://store.na.square-enix.com/sto...meID.29853700/productID.307536100#.VJb-B0B4cA

Keep in mind, their delivery time on digital goods seems ridiculous. Took 9 hours for me to receive my code for the actual game.
Ugh, yea, Digital River sucks. Looks like my only option though and better than waiting until mid next week for shipping. Thanks for the info!

I think part of the reason Golden Saucer activities aren't tied to cash shop is because they're afraid of it resembling casino in any way because that will net them serious issues in several countries where video game gambling is gambling nonetheless.
First time I'm kinda glad that's a thing.

How do I control what fallen star I get? I went to a yellow tree but got a green star as a reward? Any ideas?

The generic tree near the quest giver is yellow, if I recall, but yields green. You need to go to player houses with a red / green / yellow tree to get a red / green / yellow star.

Also never bother getting green stars, because 1 red/blue/yellow when traded to the npc, will give 2 green.

Someone somewhere said pretty much that this was the reason, can't remember who

Do I have to solve a rubik's cube blindfolded to get this game to work on Steam?

Made a Square-Enix account, cannot use my Steam CDKEY to register the game online on my account. Its a combination of numbers and letters 4x5 long.

Game won't log in through the Steam launcher, I keep getting "ID or password is incorrect."

I wish PvP was more popular than it currently is, and more balanced.....>.>

I enjoy it but it really needs more game modes and a better meta game. I mean the whole thing basically revolves around gunning for Casters/Healers regardless of whether or not your in Wolves Den or Frontlines. Factor in the fact that casting is so easily interupted (I feel for the mages I beat on as DRG), and Ninja's which can both Silence, Bind, AND Stun and you've only just reached the tip of the unbalanced ice berg. Not to mention a lot of the PvP skills take a long long time to level up for an unsatisfying pay off at times.

Hell half the time I can't even get a match for Wolves Den contrary to Frontlines.

I can justify it now because I'm having fun for the moment, but I can see what a grind some of things are in here if your not feeling it at all. There's potential here for some great PvP. I just wish they'd make it happen. It is what it is I suppose.

Could someone seriously help me with this, please?

Made a Square-Enix account, cannot use my Steam CDKEY to register the game online on my account. Its a combination of numbers and letters 4x5 long. These are the only options to register a 20 character CDKEY:

Its now asking for a one-time password, which you is one of those smart phone timed RNG passwords, but I need to register a game to make a one-time password generator.

Additionally, when I go to create a new account (through the Steam launcher), it tells my the name I already have registered is an available user name. Even though im already signed onto that account on Square's website.

What do I have to do?

Edit: Is the 20 digit code the one they apparently sent to my email?

Edit2: So I just re-registered my Square-Enix ID through the Steam launcher...?

Have you made your SE account yet, actually? Like, have you successfully logged into the launcher before? If not, go to
https://secure.square-enix.com/account/app/svc/Login?cont=account&request=mogstation
and register a new account. Make sure the region of the account and the region of where you bought the key match up. Having created that account you can log in through the launcher and then you'll be taken through the registration process that will request the CD-key provided by Steam.

If you have made the account, you need to log in through the launcher, ignore the one-time password field completely for now.

Sign in to your existing account and leave the one time password box blank, I think? You put the registration code into the launcher (picture), not the SE website.

I tried to log into my account created on: http://na.square-enix.com/ and it wouldn't work.

I created a Square-Enix account on their website, grabbed my username on there. Linked my Steam account and PSN.

I was then able to go back into the Steam launcher and created a new account with the exact same username.

When I log into: http://na.square-enix.com/ (Games registered?)

When I log into: https://secure.square-enix.com (FF14 shows up here)

Are these two separate entities?

Its working now, but when you guys go onto na.square-enix.com does it show FF14 registered to your account?

I don't even have an account there. I think it's just their members service or an e-shop which is completely separate from the game.

Awesome, thank you Frumix, QisTopTier, and iammeiam for the help.

Also, characters are cross-platform saved correct? I play on buying FF14 for the PS4 next sale it goes on.

I've been playing the free trial for a few hours and my impressions are not positive. I can understand the necessity for fetch quests in an MMO, but even 'story' missions are often uncreative fetchquests. My Lancer is level 13 and even though I have a few skills I find the combat to be very shallow and repetitive. Honestly, I'm already a little bored with the game.

So, I'm sure it gets better. But when? In what ways? I was hyped for the free trial, but it hasn't sold me on the full game at all.

Thinking about trying the trial for the game... On Christmas break and really bored... I play WoW casually but I'm looking for something different. I was reading there are issues with the trial and steam and accounts and what not. What should I do to avoid complications?

I went through some Hell by starting a Steam Trial before buying it on the Square Enix store since it's much cheaper there.

I think the best thing to do would be to grab the trial from the official site if you think you'll be buying the discounted version through their store.

When you start a Steam Trial you can only make it the full version by buying it off of Steam as that trial won't accept a registration number purchased anywhere else. My issue came from my user name not allowing me to register an entirely new service for the game and being stuck only with the Steam Trial. I ultimately used a second email address to create a second Square Enix ID to register a new copy of the game.

Oddly it actually saved the physical character since you save that separately from the fully created character with the class and such selected. I lost the little progress I made on the Steam Trial but I was able to import the appearance and keep my cat girl I had already created. That was nice at least.

Yo!

I wanted to ask a few questions of ya'll if anyone can take a moment to answer. I played pretty heavily at the launch of 2.0, did a few runs of coil, leveled about 3-4 jobs up to 50 and then I kinda felt like I ran out of things to do last November/December. I quit after that.

I am giving the game another shot now that more content has had time to release and I'm kinda burned on WoD.

- I have a 35 DRG that I was going to use to get re-acclimated to the game. Trying to find a party in the duty finder is taking an extremely long time. Is that just DPS queues being DPS queues, or is there literally no one generally doing those levels of dungeons anymore?

- What's the current status of higher level duty finder? I understand it will vary server to server, but are things pretty active up there or is it similar to what I'm going through now? (Everyone might have everything leveled and the pool of players is miniscule.)

- When going out solo'ing for leveling, what should I be doing now? What is efficient?

Thanks in advance if y'all could give me some insight.

LLDF is garbage for DPS unless you have a party. I've been leveling like three different DPS classes in the past week and it's always terrible unless you can get a healer and/or tank friend to queue with you.

For solo leveling it depends on the level, but as a DPS job and without a party to make dungeon queues fast, people usually do FATEs. If you have a lot of levequest allowances, I would look into any exploitable leves at whatever level you are at. E.g. if you are in the low 30s and trying to FATE level at Costa Del Sol, just do the "Out to Sea" leve over and over instead.

Once you get to Coerthas I guess things pick up a bit as there are always people doing FATEs there but you might need something to do as a break if that gets boring and your dungeon queues are 30m+. I try to save challenge log stuff for the 40s since I find those levels to be boring usually.
