I gave up on my Relic too. I want to try every job, and I'm definitely no going to bother with them. I'll farm T9 for 115 and try FCoB later for 120. I know I'm not beating T13 before nerfs :p

Irrelevant if the content doesn't actually need it, and I'm definitely not doing Savage modes with the Free Company I have now.

The soldiery weapons are on par with their corresponding weapons in the relic questline, and the nexus isn't a big jump in weapon damage on it's own. I'd have to min-max the weapons stats on the relic for the difference to be noticeable, and that time and money could be better spent elsewhere. Like helping players who don't even realize the weapon has been optimized beyond belief in the first place. :p

The next step, assuming item level 120, would have to be very significant to make it worth the time. Basically it'd have to justify finishing the current steps of Novus and Nexus on my one weapon, and then justify the whole questline again for three more jobs. I'm sure we can both agree that isn't likely to happen.
Are you doing Final Coil?

Not regularly, no. Not a whole lot of groups on Adamanatoise are. Most (Read: less then 8 out of 100 people) of my fellow FC members will never make it past Turn 9 without nerfs.

Even if I was, I still wouldn't do the Zodiac questline. I'd aim for the 115s out of Turn 9 instead.

Also, I should probably clarify that I primarily play the tanks and healers at endgame anyhow. :p

I just can't be bothered grinding out light. Maybe I will do it this week, Kirimu Coat means I don't need the ACC from HA bow now anyways.

My body is ready for whatever exciting zodiac hijinks await. Mostly because I expect new weapon design on this step and then the following step will add the glowy bits, make it ilvl 130, and we'll be done with it till 3.0.

I'm now on my second to last book for Animus and this relic quest is really testing my endurance. Animus stage felt even longer than Atma. I don't think I have the money to buy the materia I need at the next stage so I don't even know why I am bothering but I'll keep pushing on I guess.

Went through 32 Savage Aim IV's... 13 mil Gil later and I have a complete HQ Kirimu Bard set pentamelded! I'll convert ilv 90 sets until I recoup the Gil I spent, then just chill until the expansion :)

i'm at slight aether activity. so half way? i'm never going to be up to date. zenith was the only useful relic stage for me. i never truly needed the weapon after that.

it sucks that i'm locked out of other classes/jobs until i finish it. it's just too slow and cruel if you go the casual way. you may never use another class.

I have nearly all my Alexandrite as is. The Novus step doesn't even matter as far as time spent.

Edit: Just to note, this will be my second Nexus so I've had the option to gather Alexandrite ahead of time. First time Novus steps have no prepared Alexandrite :(

Nexus is extremely hard to grind now. There's no PFers anymore for Nexus and usually takes an hour to form up a PT which cut into the time something is bright.

It is great that they acknowledged the first three T13 clears this time and the number of groups that cleared it so far. With 50 groups, it means that approximately 400 characters have beaten T13 out of however many active subscriptions - depending on character overlap between those 50 groups.

Looking forward to the next step in the Relic line, as much as I like my Bravura, I'm looking forward to seeing a model change. Admittedly though, I'm a little bummed over having to split secondary stats three ways on my Nexus, and that's probably forever going to haunt me a bit. I mean, Acc/Det/Crit certainly isn't bad, but I'd prefer going full Determination, and I just cannot afford that.

Also, got past the first add phase in T10 last night, would've gotten further, but the other tank didn't understand the tank swap mechanic and took enmity back instead of stacking for wild charge. Not a big deal, but somebody had to leave to attend their own group not long after that.

Fight seems very doable so far, though I'm going to have to rewatch videos a few more times to wrap my head around that last phase.

So, 2.45 is coming in the first half of December.

First half...

....wish they'd get more specific then that, but oh well.

I'm just not very coordinated for Coil, or scheduling raid times. I'd hate to be the reason for not progressing. Maybe if I can join a very casual team.

It's difficult to progress on Coil after a certain point, if you're being casual about it. I mean, you can do the regular turns that way. 1-4, 6-8, and presumably 10-12, but the megaboss turns, 5, 9, and presumably 13, are going to take a fair deal of time to learn as a group regardless of your gear, or the amount of guides you read. There's just a lot more mechanics to learn in those turns, and getting a good feel for them all as a group will take time.

There's a pretty obvious shard farming bot in Central Shroud that I've reported for five days straight, and they're still there. Anyone know of other avenues to report this stuff other than the in-game Support Desk menu?

Only thing you can do is wait until they care. It's been reported multiple times in multiple threads on the OF that gms can't do anything about the bots and that reports are pretty much sent out to die unless it's a bad enough issue that it gets sent to someone else.

Yeah, it scares me even thinking about it! My wife also seems to need something right when I'm doing a quest or dungeon... never mind a raid session.

Figures... last ilv 90 set gave me 4x Savage Aim IV's. Is there a reason Crawler Cocoons are 1K? The gatherers of Ultros are on vacation?

Mostly just out of rotation for most people's gathering loops I imagine. I gathered a bunch when I was leveling Weaver desynth and saw noone.

Just gotta say, really starting to itch for that expansion. I really, really, REALLY want some new regions to explore.

I mean, the current world isn't iddy biddy or anythin, but after about a year and a half of exploring it, it's lost a little of that new world smell.

Frontlines was mentioned earlier. For high-ranking PVP players out there, some of the new i110 gear is very good. Many pieces have critical hit rate and determination as the two secondary stats. You can use these pieces for PVE, as you slowly build up the other slots with Poetics or Coil drops. Gear up alts right away with this method, since it would be a while until you spend Poetics on those classes.

I've often wondered about this actually. How much grinding does it take to be able to equip 110 pvp gear?

I desperately want to replace the utterly crappy soldiery gear I have on my Dragoon, not to mention the ST pieces that I'm still using, on account of the equivalent soldiery pieces being highly dubious upgrades.

At the same time though, it'll be at least two more weeks before I even consider spending Poetics on something other than my Warrior, and several weeks more to swap out the worst of the Soldiery/Syrcus Tower pieces.

Briefly thought about getting some crafted gear instead, but, that's far too much Gil for a class I only play occasionally.

Well, regardless, looking forward to CT3 for this reason. Always nice to have more options for gearing up alt classes, even if they're hidden behind a weekly loot lockout.

If you are starting from zero, it will take you a few hundred matches to get up to a rank that can equip ilvl 110 stuff.

Not starting from scratch, but i forget what my rank is.

Regardless, considering the queue time for PVP-only, I'll probably run out of good tank poetics gear to buy, well before I got that max rank.

Well, that, and PVP is really only fun for me, when I'm doing it with people I know.
