It is called DEAD = Dozens Eggs A Day

I can't really hate, I did a crazy diet where I only had two solid meals a day (usually an omelette in the morning and a Chipotle burrito bowl for lunch) and a shit ton of protein shakes (8 scoops of protein/day) for 6 weeks. It was boring, but I lost a ton of weight and got pretty ripped on it. The macros ended up being something like 60g carbs / 60g fat / 270g protein.

For C? salmon and about 100g of raw broccoli. Then complete the rest with beef or whatever. Really just preserving my sanity at that point.

Should be able to quit this thing in about 2-4 weeks. End of march, at the latest.

Gotcha. Then hang in there. I imagine your dedication.

Holy shit that sounds delicious. Tempting, but I'm somewhat wary that too much whey and it's artificial sweeteners can damage the kidneys and other things.

I should add that I was doing an insane amount of exercise too. An hour of cardio (45min) and abs (15min) in the morning every weekday, then in the evening a BB split (Chest/Back/Legs/Arms/Shoulders), plus I'd usually do some sort of group fitness class on the weekend. Basically amounted to 11ish hours of exercise a week. It got pretty miserable towards the end, but damn if it didn't work haha.

Haha yeah, those over the top diet / exercise routines work but the "crazy" kind of fucks you up after a while.

The OP even suggests what the 2DEAD diet is and then we get suprised when someone actually does it?

TBH the concept around 2dead is eating the two dozen eggs on top of your regular meals. Will allow you to easily hit fat and protein goals while also providing plenty of energy in that scenario. It's a bulking diet.

Haven't really eaten fiber in more than a year. Bloodwork was fine (and cholesterol way lower) before all the egg craze. As was the ECG.

Poop just fine. Once to twice a week, tiny amounts, but fine.

Why would you only want to have one or two tiny poops a week? A life not worth living if you ask me! Get in there and take more shits man!

The OP even suggests what the 2DEAD diet is and then we get suprised when someone actually does it?

I still think that is an awful idea and I forgot it was ever in the OP. It's also so damn arbitrary; a 5'2" person probably shouldn't eat the same amount as a 6'2" person, so blanket statements like "eat 24 eggs per day" is just a massive oversimplification.

that's cholestarist! .gif

But seriously, a dozen is kind of ehm dull to keep up with. I do four every morning, but that's all for the pure form in one day.
That said, pretty much every porn actor does a dozen daily as well. That's what bothered me about the 'eggs are bad' message. I spend the 90's / early '00 watching porn actors in documentaries eating more than I ever would and being healthy as shit, and the mainstream is going to call it bad? Yeah, way to check for empirical evidence that evidently and completely contradicts you statement, hacks.

One thing I do wonder is whether locked up chickens tend to have more sulphite in their eggs versus free roaming. That's partly why I stick with four actually, since I don't have the wealth to buy straight-up 'organic' eggs. Which are better for several reasons, like Omega 3 acids being way higher with a free roaming chicken versus locked up. But sulphite in general is to be avoided, if I'm not mistaken.

Which is why the OP explicitly states:
Still, exercise good judgment with whatever bulking diet you choose. Failing that, ask for advice in this thread. With either GOMAD or 2DEAD, start slow and pace your intake throughout the day. If neither option is appealing remember that many people can add muscle by eating 300 – 1,000 calories worth of the good food they already eat. A little measured increase can go a long way.

Also i dislike pooping.

It was just the one show, okay. :'(

But those things are interesting. EVERYBODY hates them, reviles them, (and nobody in the industry likes having it as a temp job either, or permanent for that matter) and yet it's porn that sets countless cultural standards, including the 'fit body' or that whole 'covered in tattoo's' crap. That paradox is fascinating, which it the 'why' you asked for.

Four times. Four goddamn times today I got asked if I was taking steroids. Had a Red Bull rep riding with me and he asked if I always get asked that question so often.

Better than being asked if you were taking big macs or burger king

Wait... what? Why do porn actors eat so many eggs. Am I missing some super sexual secret!?! Does Coriolanus now last for days at a time and cum like a foam cannon?

Unrelated, saw family for first time in a while... they didn't say anything about my build. Feels bad man.

Do I need to start wearing compression gear everywhere?

You might not be full adapted if that's how you are on keto. I lift heavy, eat very little and have to take stuff to sleep everyday because of how much energy I have.

Been in keto more than a year. Which is why im blaming the caloric deficit. Was totes fines before it.

Never had to take stuff to sleep tho, quite the contrary. Was literally "head touches pillow, im asleep in 5min, awaken 5 hours later."
That still happens, oddly.

Lyle Mcdonalds Fast Fat Loss crash diet has a person eating 0 fat, 0 carbs and having all of their calories come from protein (1000-1200 cals) a day. Sounds almost similar. I couldn't just eat protein all day, and just egg whites.

Yeah I've tried that, this was not that at all. It was like 1800-1900 calories a day with half of it being protein. Lyle would not recommend 2+ hour workouts 5-6 days a week on the RFL protocol either haha.

What are you using them for? I have a few and use them for band pull aparts and face pulls. Otherwise, I always have one in my suitcase just in case there isn't going to be a gym where I am.

I'm trying to use them for as much muscle groups as I can. The dumbbells that I use are too light now.

They were 12.5 pounds each (with removable weights) but now I have to transfer all the weight to one dumbell and get that to about 25. So I was doing 1 dumbbell exercises for a while and kinda got bored of them because I stopped feeling it. I tried to remedy that further by incorporating more body weight stuff so I got a pullup bar and did different variations of pullups/chin ups and push ups.

I am not really planning on getting that big since my priority now is still to lose weight but I might as well get stronger while doing it.

Today I rock-climbed (bouldering specifically) for two hours, followed by ramping sets of deadlifts.

Dat cross-training.

I think I'm going to boulder at least once a week. It's an amazing sport and it rocks my forearms like none other. I'm sill a novice (haven't gone in two years) but I was able to complete a couple V2 routes! Really surprised by how well my grip stood up. It can only get better.

Lots of guys there were really skinny and lanky, way more than me. Strong as hell, but it's obvious they don't lift. I'll keep my squats and deadlifts and all that stuff, thank you very much. Best of both worlds.

Cooter, you're just pissed that it was a single digit for the amount.

Bouldering, I guess I'm doing it wrong.

My legs are killing me.

Been going to some physical therapy for my knee and the therapist has me doing some hardcore pilates in her dungeon room.

She has some medieval looking torture device that works exactly how it looks like it does.

Ow.

Cam back from the gym after going a second time today. I wanted to do a little more cardio .

Always odd when somebody who you feel like is more in shape than you is complementing you on how much you can lift.

is 360lbs really alot for standing calf raises?

Man, low bar squats feel so much more natural and fun than high bar. Also feels nice to absolutely crush weight that was giving me trouble in the previous form. Only thing I need to work on is my wrist mobility since they start to feel tight and strained the way I'm holding the bar right now.

If you're doing low bar squats with optimal form, you don't even need to use your hands to hold the bar. You'll experience zero wrist strain.

This is the complete opposite of how you're supposed to be. Sounds like you're insanely low on electrolytes. I would get some sodium, potassium and magnesium going asap to correct what is going on. Fully keto adapted, you're supposed to feel like superman 24/7, not like a 80 year old man having trouble getting the motivation to go to the bathroom. So i will say it clearly, you're doing something wrong. Im positive i could run through a wall and break the wall at this very moment, thats how strong and energetic i feel, and i had 1 single meal today totalling 1400 or less calories. For someone 240lbs, 30+lbs of muscle, and lifting heavy at the gym, that is a huge deficit. I've been cutting on keto for a year or so myself.

I'm good on all three. Also Please don't compare running 1400 for a day to running 1400 and under for more than a month.

Like i sed, i done keto. I know keto. Keto felt fine. Keto didn't feel like this, ever.

This is something completely different. It is not healthy, it is not long term, and it has one goal: shedding weight fast. It achieves this goal admirably.

Ive been at 1400 a day for over a month. You are still wrong and shouldn't feel the way you do. But you do you, if you're happy that is fine, but i don't want people thinking that is what happens when you do keto proper and cut, your results are not typical when it comes to how you feel.

You were lifting heavy going 1400 total intake per day for over a month and felt like superman?

What were you eating? Obviously I'm not a fanatic, if there is an alternative and the macros are kept i'll give it a shot.

Fuck. I did bands for the first time with my stance closer and they felt a lot heavier. For reference, my feet used to be shoulder width apart and now they're about one shoe width apart between my feet so a significant difference.

I loop the band around one foot, twice around the bar and then the other.

Keep in mind two cycles ago 315 shot up. 325 shot up the last cycle. 335? One rep and then a failure on the lockout.

http://youtu.be/DmxJwhVu6uQ

There's a video of me failing.

I posted about it on a Facebook group and the first guy said it should be easier with my feet closer? I figured with the band wrapped closer together there's more tension pulling as opposed to when it's spread out a little.

I dunno. Two off days at the gym in a row sucks. :/

Starts here. I was sturggling to hit 1700 calories, and just cut it down to a single meal totallying 1400 or less. Much happier doing 20/4 IF that way.

Thanks!

Had a look, cake recipe looks interesting. Anyway

Your macros
24.7g net Carbs
117g Fat
151g Protein

Mine nowadays
12 eggs, so pretty easy to calc, at average 50g an egg
12g carbs = 48
60g fat = 540
72g prot = 288
8g fat from butter = 72
5 cloves of garlic for taste = 20

Well fuck. I'm a twat.

Your case must be out of the ordinary. Keto or not, at a calorie deficit below basal metabolic rate it is normal to feel weak, though not necessarily tired. And one of the first things to drop is libido if you stay on it for several days. And for that reason it is recommended to refeed once a week
