ICEMAN COMMETH!

The Iceman cometh to Monte Carlo!

Awesome surprise by Kimi there. That was fun, let's hope the race tomorrow is even half as fun.

If my rough math is correct, that pole lap is a few tenths from 103 miles per hour average. Heathen unit of measurement (I'm American but prefer km/h), but to me it makes it sound even more impressive at this track.

How is Brot so wrong about Ferrari all the time?

To be fair, TO BE FAIR!

When we started the bets, it was about Vettel winning and getting pole! I let the "Ferrari winning/getting pole" with the second bet slide, because it's fucking Kimi and what the fuck is he going to do?

Oh well. Serve me up.

e: And to be clear, I'm going to wreck shit tomorrow, if Vettel is not going to win.

Bottas overtaking Hamilton in the standings would be glorious.

edit: oh wait he is at 63 points, I thought he had something like 80 points

His DNF in the last race ruined the title fight a little. Same for Kimi, which is why it's crucial for Vettel to win tomorrow.

Shame about that kerb, though.

So what's with the difference between Bottas and Hamilton? What's the deal!

Looks like Lewis had issues with his driving style and hooking up the rears. It was amazing seeing him catch some of those near-tankslappers coming in and out of Casino.

OK maybe not everyone but lots of people

The Ferrari hype cycle has been almost shadowing the Sonic cycle ever since Alonso joined Ferrari.

Every year the same story: Some good pre season test times, some optimistic nuggets of information and it made you say "Maybe this is the year".
Then the first race happens and Ferrari is miles behind Red Bull/Mercedes.

No matter how much everyone (including their rivals) where hyping them it always felt like Mercedes had pace in hand and was going to destroy them come Melbourne.

Not really. It's Monaco, he'd need to be SIGNIFICANTLY faster than the cars around him to get any passes in.

I know, but I'm confident he'll try to push like crazy assuming he'll regain some decent pace. Actually I'll be surprised if he manages to complete more than a few laps before being involved in some crash. :)
