It's a better game for the type of driver that I am. I like the IMO 80/20 mix of Sim and arcade that FM brings to the table. It's just more fun.

yeah, they depleted their budget (group sex in prague medieval mansions?tyres?) and decided that for marketing videos of the game they will have to go with what the community makes after they release the game.

Game still needs to go gold, and i think deadline is next week.
They need to start manufacturing those discs, more content will be added through DLC, but that doesn't change the fact the code needs to be finalised.
According to what Dan said, game will be fully playable and with lots of content on the disc, with DLC adding 'more stuff'.
Now that i think of it (no idea why i haven't thought of it before
) the reddit leak..The version that guy tested was obviously missing all the downloadable content.

That's a pretty cool story. I'm sure plenty of designers and enthusiasts devote their entire careers in an attempt to being in the position he's at right now, while it seems this was never something he actively worked towards. Natural growth is the coolest kind.

It just grinds my gears (huh) that he has this vision, yes great, but it gets annoying after a while reading the same thing from articles ages old (maybe it's just me) and the frustration of actual 'game' information not forthcoming. But I fear I'll be reading about Car Loving Game Lovers until F10 :/ it gets boring fast, regardless if he conveys a genuine passion, which I appreciate he does very well.
Anyways, if I'm being honest, the longer it takes to actually see an open wheeled car (any type will do me but pref F1) thrashing around Spa, or Pastino the more hyped I'm getting.

That Microsoft wheel was pretty good value for a FFB wheel. It's a shame there's nothing in that £100 price bracket for XO at launch.

Paying 14.99 for ten grand prix cars would bring a tear to anyone's eye...
"silliness" is a completely different word than "immersion", especially in the context of a racing game
so, no such silliness, but day1 there are not one but two different ways to spend your money on microsoft's "new and enhanced technology" wheels. there's one from thrustmaster and one from mad catz
