Forza 5 will "Drop Jaws" in the Coming Days

Not sure how legit that site is or where that quote it from. Thought I'd share though!

Time to get super hyped, and then maybe super bummed out.

So is Dover international confirmed or what?

On the Forza main site where the Forza store section is.. It has Dover spelled backwards! Mirrored like. Anyone know?

I hope we don't have to wait until the end of the week to see some of these reveals. If so, it's going to be a very long work week.

Got a chance to play forza at best buy today. Wow!! The graphics are beautiful and the talk about aliasing is highly exaggerated. There is some but you hardly notice when racing. The game is smooth as butter. And even though it was plain old Laguna, there was much more going on. This could not have been done on the 360, so again, all the forza 4.5 talk is bs. The physics definitely feel different. Found it a bit harder to keep the car on the track, though I was dumb and went with the Audi rift away.

And the controller....got damn the controller!!! It is the best controller I have ever used. Trigger rumble adds so much. I'm as excited for the controller as I am for the game. Problem is, they were sold out, and they weren't sure when the next round of reorders will arrive.

Yeah, that was my take from it as well.

That Spa footage we got was also an older build with certain things that weren't finalized.

But yeah, the next couple of weeks will be very exciting for sure.

“We’ve said there’s three important cars in the game to every player; the first car you ever owned, the car you drive right now, and the car you hope to own someday,” says Turn 10 content director John Wendl, while weaving a Hazard Yellow HSV GTS through The Esses in Forza Motorsport 5’s newly-added Mount Panorama circuit. “And that’s different for everybody, obviously, so we’ve trying to find that right blend for the most people in the world, so that we’re going to have those three cars in there for them.”

“And there’s always new ones coming up as well, right? We try to make sure that we have the relevant cars in there. And certain cars become stale. You don’t necessarily need every version of the Mustang, for example, in the game. Some of them aren’t that great. Some of them are really iconic and you need to have those in there, but if you’ve got the most current one from Forza 4, from 2011, then it gets replaced with a new one for 2014, do you really still need that 2011 one?

You hear that Sarbear?

“So that’s what bubbles things like that up. It’s wherever people are most passionate, [like the] Ford and Holden rivalry; those are the ones we wanna capture, because people are going to polarise around those. They’re gonna be passionate around it, have that kind of discussion, create those online match-ups when they’re playing multiplayer online. It’s the cars that people care about and have a lot of passion for; Holden is one of those brands and the car is one of those cars.

Expecting classic Aussie, Turn 10, expecting it with a passion. Sorry Soundscream..

Wow, you must be thrilled to finally hear that, Sal. It's surprising that Turn 10 have confirmed this -surely it's only mainly Aussies who care about the Ford/Holden rivalry? I guess you need it included if Bathurst is in your game. They better get the Brock era cars in and not just the modern ones though. That would be a massive missed opportunity.

Listen to this man Turn 10, he knows the score.

But yeah, I guess it's Aussies who mostly care about the Ford/Holden rivalry.

We love cars and motorsport. We have our icons and legends in the racing and car industry. Peter Brock is arguably the greatest of them all. His iconic cars, road and race, are famous the nation over. His exploits on and off the track will always be remembered.

If Turn 10 think that the HSV GTS is something that Aussies will be interested in, believe me, the HDT Brock cars and other classics such as Monaro, Torana, and Falcon GT will bring the nation to it's knees, especially if MS markets it smartly..

While our culture with V8's is known, there is one interesting car that's pretty much reached cult status here that isn't a V8.

The VL Turbo.

The interesting thing about this car is that while it may be modeled as an Australian, at it's heart lays a Nissan 3.0 SOHC motor.
Later, we received the RB30ET which was the turbocharged version which went on to become legendary in status and application mostly through drag racing.
If there was ever one non-V8 car that would be most welcomed by Aussies in Forza, it would be the VL Calais Turbo, no doubt.

And of course, you're not a serious VL Turbo guy until your cars "Doses Bro".

I've never seen a pretty VL. Even the ones with a lot of work done to them are ugly. Even the show ones.

Still, if it gets in it will probably be the closest I'll get to driving my old R31 Skyline in a Forza game.

Unless Turn 10 finally includes the R31 GTS-R!

I used to have the R31 but it had the RB25DET in it. Was lots of fun to drive.

That wasn't standard in that car was it?

I traded mine in for a Lancer. Talk about a downgrade.

lol.

Yeah, as you know, the R31 'granny spec' models featured NA RB30's.
But the HR31 had the RB20DET and the GTS-R had the RB20DET R which sported bigger turbo, tubular headers and bigger intercooler.

The Group A versions were the ultimate though..

Ah yes, god PGR3 was mindblowing. Got the 360 a few months after launch though, I won it :) Would have never touched a console before that.

Is jaws developer slang for pixels/resolution?

I jest, I look forward to seeing what he's talking about. Pretty hyped about this.
