I'm wondering what actually happened in that Nymeria scene, it obviously felt like it actually was her, and her not going with Arya makes it feel like Arya has changed so much, not just physically, but emotionally that Nymeria didn't even recognize her.

Not only that but Nymeria has also changed as well. Shes no longer just Arya's pet but a leader of her own pack living their own lives.

Are those the ships Euron built in like a week?

Well, in the background, sure. His big boat with the ramparts and side sails is the one he came back from his travels IIRC. If you dislike his magic 'boats from our nonexistant trees' fleet, you can just pretend the rest of that assault group was also world-travel acquisitions (honestly I wish they had gone that route and said most of the fleet was stolen or taken from elsewhere).

I believe the fleet he just wrecked is *not* their full fleet or the one the dornish army was on. I think it was just them heading back to Dorne with Ellaria to meet rejoin Dorne. Basically a VIP escort and nothing more. Unsullied would be on a different fleet bound for Casterly Rock, and some of Dany's fleet would still be at Dragonstone.

Team Cersei is the best. How can anyone not root for them?

Cersei
Jaimei
Euron
The Mountain
Qyburn

I want them to have all the happiness and success in life.

Because Cersei is the worst.

I can sympathize with villain protagonists, as I was on #TeamWalter for the entire run of Breaking Bad, but god, Cersei isn't even a FUN villain. She's just needlessly cruel and inhumane. There's no nuance there.

I bet before this is all said and done, she betrays Jamie, too.

That said, Qyburn and The Mountain are pretty aces.

I was thinking, that Nymeria was thinking the same thing Arya was. "That isn't her..."

Yeah that's what I was thinking too. They've both changed and are basically strangers to each other now. I wonder if Arya's still planning on going north or if she thinks she doesn't belong with her family anymore.

Not only that but Nymeria has also changed as well. Shes no longer just Arya's pet but a leader of her own pack living their own lives.

This is too, it's like that last scene in La La Land when they just look at each other and see how much they've changed, even if she wanted to go back with Arya, she really couldn't. They had grown apart.

So the Snakes are gone. Was hoping to get more Bad Pussy before that happened but whatever. Dany's gonna be pissed. Then needs to grow some balls, both figuratively and literally. Yara better not go out easily. Maybe he'll have to be the one to save her and do what she didn't when she went to save him.

Also, Euron is definitely the new Ramsay. My god. And I love it. A new villain to hate.

just on hbo go

the short of it is that it was meant to mirror Arya talking about how her future isn't being a domesticated lady, and she realized that Nymeria is the same and doesn't have a future as a domesticated wolf

Yup. Interesting to see the people getting it wrong with their guesses, but if they didn't see the featurette then it's logical for them to think that way.

What the hell has Euron done to deserve being so OP? Oh I have an island full of rocks and no trees, we managed to build the ultra fleet in like 2 months. Now imma just come in here and punk everyone and walk away with 2 super prisoners. Blizz nerf pls.

Aside from that, lots of fun:
- Arry and HotPie was great
- Sam the loose cannon maester that's gonna break the rules and cure grayscale. But apparently none of the maesters have figured out that maybe a facemask is useful when working with contagious patients. Maybe next century.
- Varys showing how eunuchs do have balls
- Greyworm/Missandei finally!
- Dany stealing Tyrions sweet "Queen of the ashes" line

Mostly I'm happy that all these little relationships are paying off. Like Tyrion w/ Jon and Sansa, Varys and the red priestesses, Hot Pie being able to let Arya know about her family, Sam wanting to repay House Mormont, etc.

And little finger is gonna screw it all up and get the entire north killed I bet.

I wonder if they'll do a tropey 'reveal' of Jon's parentage, like having the dragons approach then sensing the Targ blood in Jon.

Hello, my name is Yves Guillemot, Vivendi S.A.'s Employee of the Month!
Theon should change his name to Yamaha because he stay fucking up!!! 😡😡😡

The Nymeria scene was implying that Arya has changed and she sensed it. Arya saying the same thing is meant to be a reflection on herself.

All that killing and hardening has had an effect and Arya might be the last to notice. They played on that with the scene where she talked to hotpie.

Yeah.

After the Episode explains the Nymeria scene really well.

Yeah it does help explain it but if there isn't any future pay off for it thats kinda sad that they decided that was all they were going to do with her. I mean it makes sense and its a nice call back to Season 1 but for something fans have been asking about since literally episode 2 it just feels like wasted potential.

The last person to throttle Littlefinger got a knife to the throat from Littlefinger.

The scene mirrors LF and Ned's scene from S1 when Ned first arrives to KL.

So guys is Jon right? I know folks will draw the Ned parallels, but I think he's in a very different spot. The threat he's talking about is significantly greater than whatever the Throne wars will bring. And like no one else gets it because except him, the Night's watch and the Wildings, no one else has seen it.

Completely. As entertaining as it is the 'Game of Thrones' mostly stopped mattering during Hardhome.

Pretty sure she and Ellaria will be the "gift" Euron promised Cersei.

Why would Cersei care about Yara? Besides allying with Danaerys Cersei has no real reason to hate her. If anything she's Euron's gift to himself.

This, at least as far as Jon is concerned. Jon isn't playing the game.

Bad Pussy is still alive. Cersei will probably kill her in front of her mother in retalliation for what she did the Mycella. Hence the "mama mama mama" talk.

Yea I was thinking Jon just made a new enemy.

He was always his enemy but upon seeing that he can't manipulate Jon, he's going to ramp up his efforts with Sansa.

He put all his points specializing in sailing and combat. He IS the most feared pirate and has probably much more experience in combat and sailing than almost every person in the world.

There's been an awful lot of Littlefinger in the past 2 episodes for it to be going nowhere in the 11 remaining episodes.

I'm expecting a big end for him at the end of this season, though I can't decide how good or bad it will be for the characters we know. He *does* love Sansa, and for all his scheming and even selling her to Ramsay, he wants her to live and be with him as his Queen, so I'm hoping for an internal conflict that ultimately ends him.

The scene with Qyburn and Cersi testing out the heavy anti-dragon bows really confirms that we'll have one heck of a kings landing battle at the end of the season. She'll probably lose a dragon in order to get the iron throne.

LOL at Gendry still rowing.

Someone needs to gif that anchor thing dropping down and Euron jump on the ship. That was such a badass looking shot.

Error

Jealous of the Glory that is Johnny Depp
Jon needs the White Walkers to invade so Westeros stops with the fucking scheming.

There's only so much Cersei winning I can take, Night King please save this show.

Surprised I haven't seen very many negative reactions here. I thought a lot of the dialog writing was pretty terrible. Lot's of corny moments. One of my least favorite episodes ever.

For sure. Also who is Sansa worried about anyways? Aint none of the southern kingdoms gonna go march north in the Winter.
