She'll be arya's friend in the village that the Hound and her go to live. I'm sure they can spread that out and write some new stories. That's the only way to make her story fill up the season without her going to Bravos early.

I'm looking forward to that. The Adventures of Arya and The Hound should make for a great season.

Could be no one. Last season everyone was mystified by the casting of two women who just ended up being Ramsay's torture whores. She could just be Street Urchin #2 or something.

^ Yeah, maybe. Apparently she's Romanian and is likely to have an accent, so that leaves out Fake Arya, though that was my first thought too. Leaf and the waif seem early (I also thought the waif was a small, child-like adult woman though...?).

Is there any version of this pic without the text? Googling it didn't work.

This seems the most likely scenario, assuming the character isn't just some random nobody (which is entirely possible).

Not reading anything at all in this thread yet lol, but I just read an interview with the showrunners and deadline.com, in it they hinted that they wanted to create a story with 80 hours of screen time make it feel like one large story, not 80 separate episodes. This means they are aiming for 5 more seasons. Don't know how that fits in with the books. I will say, they better have some good stuff lined up. While I liked this season, what happened at the Wedding really killed my hopes for the story I had envisioned. The non-spoiler thread is pretty much done for now until season 4 starts. Just wanted to say this here.

I just re-watched all 3 seasons and when i thought i could not dislike Tywin and Joffery any more, i actually do dislike them more.

The death of Starrk, did not effect me because i did not want him to win the war anyway.

Are you sure you're in the right thread? Your post doesn't really sound like you've read the books.

GRRM: "I wasn't present for Pedro Pascal's audition, but I understand that he really killed it with his reading. And since his casting was announced, the producer of another TV show on which he appeared recently has written me to say how terrific Pascal is, and to congratulate us on the casting. So I suspect that he will turn out to be a wonderful Red Viper.

I do know that David and Dan and HBO do favor having a racially and ethnically diverse cast on the series. It is true that we've lost several black characters who appear in the novels (Chataya and Alayaya, Jalabhar Xho, Strong Belwas), but to balance that, characters like Salladhor Saan and Xaro Xhoan Daxos, both white in the books, have been played by black actors. Missandei as well, though in the books the Naathi are golden-skinned, not white.

As for the Dornishmen, well, though by and large I reject one to one analogies, I've always pictured the "salty Dornish" as being more Mediterranean than African in appearance; Greek, Spanish, Italian, Portugese, etc. Dark hair and eyes, olive skin. Pedro Pascal is Chilean. (Check out Amok's version of the Red Viper, that's how I saw him. Or Magali Villenueve's beautiful and sexy portrait of Princess Arianne).

When and if the show introduces Prince Oberyn's daughters, the Sand Snakes, I expect we will see the same diversity as in the books, ranging from Tyene (blond and blue-eyed) to Sarella (light brown skin, as her mother was a Summer Islander). And I expect that the crew of the CINNAMON WIND will all be cast with black actors..."

Martin confirms what people who pay attention knew. Oberyn is a salty Dornishman, and has been compared to the people of Spain, Italy, and Palanstine before. He's olive skinned and the actor fits fine.

Makes sense, salty Dornishmen intermixed heavily with the previous First Men and Andals inhabitants. Sandy Dornishmen I imagine to be more alike North Africans.

Without spoiling anything specific obviously, I think most people that have read the books (myself included) think 80 hours, or 8 seasons in the current format sounds about right.

I can deal with 8. The fact that it's gone to 4 is pretty amazing to me, already. I never would have thought that the world would latch onto this show like it has.

Sure, unless the last two books are so awesome that 8 total seasons aren't enough. What if they're like ASOS and need 1.5-2 seasons for each? We just don't know yet.

Would probably still be 8 seasons consider book 4 and 5 are mostly filler.

pretty much what I've been thinking
well the whole Martell bullshit is still annoying to me, but then again i liked all the Greyjoy stuff so maybe my personal taste just sucks ^^

god I hoped we would skip this bullshit

I'm assuming we'll be done with the first 5 books after season 5, leaving 3 seasons for the final 2 books.

You're right though, we don't know for sure.

I'm assuming they're going to make some heavy changes to the final books so it makes sense. For instance we already know TWOW has at least two huge battles (Winterfell and Mereen), and we might see (TWOW spoiler)
the Storm's End siege
making it three.

The books are spiraling to some huge events and I don't think the show will manage to cover them all.

The show might skip 1 or 2 of the 3 battles. I recalled there was the battle between the undead vs the men of The Nights watch that didn't make it to the show :(

the show skipped almost all of the battles.
but I have still hopes that they will show more in the future, considering this will probably be the most popular show HBO ever had if the ratings still rise a little bit next season. with this kind of prestige, HBO might be convinced to fund some big battles, big dragons and big locations in general.
from what we know, B&W have to fight for the budget for pretty much every scene, and HBO does only what they think is really important, so they might just as well say no.
on the other hand, boardwalk empire ist far more expensive as far as I know. I really hope the battle at the wall in season 4 will feature some epic LOTR shots. they dont need to be long, but it should be the most epic thing ever shown on tv.

So I guess we can expect more red (or purple, or blue) in Episode #2?

The books skip most of the battles too so I don't think much of that has anything to do with budget since I don't remember any too meaningful battles that the books have that the show doesn't. With a lot of the battles they handle it so that they repeat just what people have heard has happened or they have some character who was part of the battle telling someone what happened in some skirmish or the other. The big battles are still to come, they won't skip those.

To be fair, the battle wasn't really depicted in the book either. The chapter ended with the three horns and then Sam briefly reflects on it in a later chapter.

Tyrion being a badass in GoT instead of being knocked out like a loser in season 1. :(

I wonder how they'll make Olenna Tyrell want to kill Joffrey.

He hasn't so much as said an unkind word to Margaery so far. Seems awful sudden for the first four episodes.

The Tyrells have already been gathering information on Joffrey, as we've seen from their meeting with Sansa, and have clearly concluded that he's an unstable monster who is a serious threat to everyone around him. That and the desire to have a more pliable king like Tommen is all that's needed.

But I wouldn't be surprised if Joff has a scene where he gets tired of Margaery getting all the love and attention which causes him to make some sort of threat against her.

So the purple wedding gets it's name from the color of the poison? I always thought it was because your face turns purple when you get strangled.
