If SP did not take any action against this sick mind, then we have a valid reason to protest and cancel this game, but they did fire that person. To be honest I was looking forward for this game due to I enjoyed GOT. If its good, I might buy it. Honestly it's reviewing a lot better than I expected. I for sure thought it would score lower 80s. Still not interested though. Sounds exactly like an iterative sequel to Tsushima, with a similar stunning overworld, similar Assassin's Creed-ish gameplay and collectathon world design, similar revenge story, etc. etc. Great for those who dig that, but once is enough for me.

Given SP's careful wording "employed" there is a probability the dev is now an "independent contractor".
Finally the kind of like maybe "apology" on some no name website and not publicly doing it on their own platforms tells me everything I need to know about where the vast majority of SP devs stand on murdering conservatives they smear as "Nazis"

The only issues that have overwhelmed the discourse around this game and its developer have been exclusively about the voice actor and some shitty tweets by one of the devs who ended up getting disciplined for it anyway.
Unless you think merely having a female protagonist amounts to "political inclinations" then I have no idea what people have seen of the actual game footage that indicates anything objectionable about this game.

It was released in summer, and hopefully now that you mention it, we won't have to go through the misery of idiotic comparisons of some regional physical only charts, 2020 vs 2025 when physical is pretty dead.

It depends. All of the 90+ metacritic games are AA/indie titles. There is a good chance that journalists will throw in a couple AAA games for the GOTY discussion. Death Stranding 2 should be a lock, but there is a good chance Yotei or KCD2 get in as well
