I have 4400 gold and I'm thinking about spending it all on packs, but I feel like that's a bad move at the moment. I just want to craft some new shit though.

Thoughts anyone?

standard meta still needs to be slowed down a little more or something. I had a hard time earning my wins with my Rogue (Nzoth) and soon as I go tempo mage its just a stroll down easy lane I gotta admit.

just slinging spells and zeroing people before their late game strategy manifests

oh well I'll climb and park at 15 then go back to Wild. Will craft a fun card or two and enjoy slower pace games

[edit] and people critize HS for being too fast and aggro but most of the HS clones are rush decks too

edit2 - huh I'm just tilt- even my mage went on losing streak too ouch

This is probably the best way to experience HS.

Watch others play dumb decks and then bet on the outcomes while being drunk.

Even stupid RNG outcomes are now hype.

Disconnect immediately after my opponent plays Antonidas. Have perfect answer in mulch, can't cast it, opponent gets 3 free turns to farm fireballs, reconnect in time to watch my portrait explode.

How can you be so drunk 5 minutes after you take 2 shots? Astounding

if a person rarely drinks, 2 shots in rapid succession will hit hard. That is just how biology works.

I disconnected right when I had lethal against a control warrior in a 20+ minute match. lukily the guy thought I was BMing and conceded.

I'm really enjoying this modern Casino Mage.

4x Cabalist's Tomes in one match to beat a Freeze Mage since the fourth one gave me Ice Block.

Beat a Control Warrior.

Cabalist's Tome into double Duplicate to get 4x Thalnos - wheee spell damage!

Such a ridiculous game, hahaha.

Malygos, Thalnos, and Alexstrasza. Those are the ones I really want.

I was thinking that, but I also don't really give a shit about old gods packs as I have pretty much everything I want with the exception of nzoth

I would probably spend half in classic packs and save the rest for the next expansion.

Actually, i would probably spend it all on classic packs because i have no self control.

a third of your deck is made up of 4 or less cost minions, naw, fuck you, here, they are always at the bottom of the deck.

This game can go fuck itself straight to hell

worst game ever made

You know, I'm getting really sick of all these crybabies whining about their precious Yogg getting slightly changed.

I've personally yet to see ANY evidence that Yogg is anything less than the degenerate piece of shit "LOL OOPS GUESS I WIN" fuckery that it always was.

So, yeah, I've got lethal on board and Mage is at 13 with no board. I was worried about Flamestrike, but figured if it happened I could still win with my life lead and the resources left in my deck.

What I couldn't do, though, was beat 10 mana play a 7/5, cast Call of the Wild, Soul of the Forest, Power of the Wild buff, Mind Control, Cabalists Tome and Snake Trap.

That's probably 40 mana of value.

Blizzard fucked up when they made this piece of shit card, and they fucked up again when they had the chance to fix their mistake and decided they didn't need to dumpster the card harder than they did Warsong Commander.

Glad we're back to Deeprock Salt status.

I think the key to enjoying Hearthstone is to accept that it is not a good game and not invest too much of yourself in winning. I'm enjoying the game much more now that I'm just messing around and playing whatever I feel like instead of trying to win. When I want serious matches, I'll play Duelyst or a fighting game. I think I might shoot for Rank 5 again for the first time in 3 months.

I'm going to try and get into the Shardbound Alpha, too. :-D

but, but... my stats say the card is mediocre! Stats without context are worse than worthless. The people defending it better have defended implosion, tuskarr and anything else with high variance that technically are mediocre on average, but can outright win the game with 1 card.

Your rants are really funny to read. People like you are the reason i still play yogg.

50% of my matches today have been against Paladin. Mostly a mix of Dragon and N'zoth Paladin, although one was an Anyfin Paladin, who stupidly didn't concede after I hexed both his Warleaders.

Was 5-5 with Maly Druid but after I switched to Midrange Shaman I've gone 10-3 and ranked up from 19 to 15. (It might be 11-2 if it wasn't for a certain garbage Old God).

Feels bad that I needed to play a broken class to gain ranks but it is what it is.

It's cool, rank 20 can be pretty hard without a back-up plan.

You can win without warleaders because you don't have hex for tirion, ragnaros, and depending on their list, ragnaros number 2, or other late game minions. Anyfin's win condition isn't solely anyfin.

I actually beat him before he got to 10 mana, so hexing his warleaders, while fun, didn't win me the game. Him not drawing his board clears had more to do with it.

But come on, hexing Warleaders is fun and means he now has two worthless ten mana cards in his deck.

I think the speed of the meta is actually in a really good place right now. I'm only up to rank 3, but I haven't hit a single face deck in the entire season. I feel like this is the worst place that aggro has ever been in.

That's almost entirely because of mid-range Shaman's dominance, having great taunt options.

Speaking of full salt, old Reynoodle went in pretty hard on the state of HS and card design lol. He has some good points tho.

lol@ nobody liked unstable portal and they made like 5 more
Barnes is a stupid card news at 11.

Just like with Tuskar there might be a deck/set of cards in the future that make it infuriating to play against Barnes.

There's a lot of pressure on Blizzard to greatly decrease the number of high variance cards (percentage wise) in the upcoming expansion. I think even Blizzard has realized that these cards are not fun for a majority of players.

This isn’t the most fun type of randomness for a card that is low mana and sees this much play.

It's hilarious that somehow midrange shaman is also one of the best Barnes decks.

I just played a mill rogue in wild that ran sludge belchers, death Lords, and nzoth.

He shadowstepped and shadowcasted and ganged up his nzoth.

Screw that guy.

Ask him for tips on getting to rank 5.
I've played against this deck - it seems pretty good.

Mobius, what do you think of its viability? Especially contrasted with pure Mill Rogue.

Are there any other decent card games on mobile? I'm looking to jump in to some other games.

I know Duelyst comes to mobile sometime soon.
Duelyst mobile is Q1 2017.

Shadowverse is basically Hearthstone with different character class themes. To me, it doesn't do enough to justify playing instead of Hearthstone, and the art is pretty unappealing in many cases.

Solforge is on mobile, but IMO isn't a great game past the novelty. I think those are the only ones. If you go on Google Play there are dozens of little trash titles, though.

Woah, Scrolls had a mobile version? I've heard that game was legit, but the devs had conflicts and abandoned the game. Most of them are going to Duelyst since the titles have some things in common.

Doing quests on Eu. Once again, lethal on board with a concealed Gadgetzan and a concealed Questing. I'm at 17 and facing 7 power on his board, so it's not like I'm a lock to win or anything, but I'm feeling pretty good that I have given myself the best chance at winning.

Then, this bullshit:

#NerfYoggAgain.

Shadowverse seems okay. I haven't played it that much though.

I can't imagine playing duelyst on mobile. I guess a nice sized tablet would work well.

The deck he is describing doesn't sound like mill rogue, it sounds like n'zoth rogue which can win in fatigue but I don't think the goal is to specifically mill.

I played some wild rogue with shadowsteps last month. I didn't play deathlords but I can see why that may be included.

I would have to see the deck list to really comment more.

Oh, I've seen it as a Mill deck - Coldlight Oracles that get Shadowstepped and everything. But then the Rogue flexibly uses Gang Up and Shadowstep on N'Zoth in the late game instead of the Coldlight.

Nope, it was coldlight oracles, gang up, the whole package.

I play Sentinels of the Multiverse on my phone. Can play solo or coop. No grinding (unless you want to unlock variant costumes)- you get all the cards in base game. Can also buy dlcs. I dig it a LOT but I have a deep love for superheroes

my friend been trying to get me to try out Star Realms so I'll be getting that at some point. like Sentinels, all cards included in base game. no random packs. you can buy dlc though and there is a free demo on Steam

It sounds weaker than a straight up mill rogue deck (at least at the mill gameplan) then, because mill rogue doesn't care about huge turns like n'zoth, they care about huge turns like triple cold light which gets them lethal.

I haven't played it though. And I'm not exactly a mill expert either. Ask ryzen lol

If ryzen made it, he is mill god so it's probably a good deck!

I had 80 health from a massive massive double armorsmith turn but it was useless because I would never have gotten through the constant taunt wall.

A normal mill rogue deck would have gotten wrecked by me. I had him down to 10hp on turn 8 but then the taunts staryed going down.

I am not saying that it is a good deck, but with how he curved out, I had zero chance of beating him.

you are new- but you might not realize a lot of top tier players are still working their way backup to fight for top spots again. Right now ladder is gonna be a stampede (especially Standard which is tryhard land right now)

middle of month it will be a breeze getting to 15. First week of month I relax and just run fun decks.

So yes- you should be getting your butt kicked off the ladder right now. Consider it good practice. By the time middle of month rolls around you wont be a kitten anymore. You'll be a Tiger

Proud to say that since you replied this to me after banging my head against a wall at RANK 18 (yes i was THAT awful) things started to click, i start reading opponents better and i cracked into the top 10 this morning :) that was my goal all along i thought it would take forever! I dont have a new goal now. I didnt want to suck, and i achieved that goal :) nolongersuckingfeelsgood
