For all the Zelda talk, can we just all agree how fucking fantastic it is that on Guerilla Games first outing in the genre, people are actually seriously discussing it at the level of Zelda? I knew our little Amsterdam studio could bring the pretties, but to actually deliver more than that and get into the fray with the thirty year old grand Dame of the genre is high praise indeed. So proud.

It's hard to believe that GG has made a game where the main characters aren't unlikeable jerks. Even in KZ:SF where I think the main guy was supposed to be sympathetic I still didn't like him. I've enjoyed their games but the story and characters always fell short, but it looks like they finally got it right.

I can take off that Tuesday and get a running start and I have off Friday so I can play it until Gamestop opens and I pick up my switch. Yeah, I don't understand why Zelda is being constantly brought up. I am sure it will be great and I'll probably pick up a cheap Wii U in order to play it one day, but I want to to read about and discuss Horizon here. That is what this thread is for. I am happy to see that Horizon: Zero Dawn is not just a huge balloon inflated with hype, but that they've really done a good job in injecting a lot of personality with good technical achievements that characterize them and also the creation of a World with interesting characters, a good campaign and so much depth in their spaces and societies that we very much crave to return in future sequels.

Looking at that Metacritic, yeah, I'm coming around that Zelda games ride the laurels of their predecessors a smidge. If only a smidge.

Zelda is the ONLY game that can make me buy a whole system for it alone( not gonna buy switch since it's one the wii u too

i bought 3ds for Ocraina of time 3d and Link between worlds, even though i enjoyed other games but the zelda games were my reason to buy the system

bought the worst console ever made in history, Wii u, just for Zelda Wind waker HD, enjoyed only 3 games on that shitty system, WWhd, TPhd and MH3U, and the zelda games alone are worth the purchase

the only iconic masterpiece series that is still alive in this gen that i can actually compare it to Zelda is MGS( i know it may be dead now but the last game still amazing so i'm assuming it's still alive until we see MGS 6)
