So that AMD FX-9590 then. 5GHz and 220w TDP. Who on earth is going to buy that? The only people I can think of are either die hard AMD fans or people who want to dick wave with massive clock speeds from it.
You mean if there's any OC overhead to be had.
I'm building in a R4 case. What are my best options for high airflow fans? Noise is not really an issue.
I asked this some months ago while building in a Define Mini. I went with the Scythe gt-15 that were recommended and was very happy. Is this still the way to go? Aesthetically, I like the Corsair SP120 high performance, but have no idea if they're any good.
SP120s are for radiators and heatsinks. AF120s are for case airflow. Yes, they are definitely good.
I...I must have lost all perspective hanging out in this thread. I didn't realize that $499 was a lot for a entire "system", considering $500 for a video card seems reasonably priced in my book.
I know, right?
After that Sony conference and low price point it may have killed my desire to shell out 1000 more for the PC build. Anyone have any big selling points that justify the huge added cost?

It's pretty much this: if you are an enthusiast gamer, PC is objectively a better platform. Every tiny bit of it can be tweaked to be exactly what you want it to be. You're not at the mercy of what devs decide runs well. But, as an enthusiast gamer, it should never be a question of either/or.
I know I'll be buying a PS4 to complement my Vita day 1.
