Is that Michael AND Wee-Bey? I don't ever remember them interacting on The Wire. This is a different show right?

Microsoft obviously. With their new strategy if you have a PC there is literally no reason to go out and buy their box. Sony and Nintendo still deliver top-notch content, I can't remember the last time MS had a must-play game that made me want an Xbox.

nintendo is the correct answer which is apparently the least popular answer which is just further evidence that the nintendo crime family must be destroyed :(

Thats like asking which phone maker you want to eliminate: Samsung, Apple or Huawei. The answer is obviously Apple because they sell overpriced hardware/software. In case of console manufacturers the equivalent would be nintendo.

Nintendo. Some adults need to grow up and Nintendo is the most arrogant of the big 3 for charging 60 bucks for 20 buck cost of development games with low production values, low polygon counts, blurry textures and zero voice acting and horrendous sound effects. And they suck for not having analog triggers.

Sony. If Sony doesn't exist, Japanese developers can target the Nintendo console. Microsoft brings a unique Western perspective & game franchises.

I think the 3 companies we have right now is a perfect mix. The ones that didn't belong have already been "eliminated" (sorry Sega!). Having said that, I think Microsoft is setting up their future to be detached from the 'console'; where Xbox becomes a platform (similar to Netflix), so they can focus on Xbox content but provide it on as many different devices they can. I am speculating but it is based off of what Microsoft was initially messaging with the Series X (they have deviated from the initial messaging a little bit but they are setting up the future to be less about the device.)

I think Sony also does realize this and that is why I think they released the PSP Go and invested money into PlayStation Now; they were trying to get there too quickly with their small experiments (PSP Go ended up being a failure at the time) and weren't fully committed, which is why when most people now talk about streaming they end up focusing on Stadia or xCloud and I guess in the coming days Luna will also be added to that, but we all know PlayStation Now has been around longer.

Sony. Bought and muscled its way into the industry. Can't stand anything Playstation related especially its fanboys. Hold them in utter contempt, especially the younger ones who believe videogames didn't exist before the PS2.

Sony 100% easy choice.
Nintendo is the only one with actual good hard to find a replacement exclusives. MS I doubt would raise prices too much with Sony gone but if you look at anything Sony outside of gaming it's over priced for what you get and I know console gaming would double in price without MS keeping Sony in check.

Is that even a question? Sony.

Seriously, Sony, because I want my life back!

The games would still come out on PC, Xbox and Switch?

He said as a manufacturer not as a publisher/developer.

Same way SEGA left but kept making games.
Sony would keep making games....they would just have their own launcher on PC by now.

Nintendo. I don't play these games...
I also don't play on xbox (except 360) but if sony was left alone, they would become terrible.

We need microsoft for anti monopoly sony alone

Microsoft is a bit shitty, but mostly because of dumb choices. Sony is being arrogant (again), so I could say that she is the one to go

I should say, "their Japanese identity." Started fading with the PS3 and was cemented with the PS4.

I agree with their games first approach, but if they bailed out of the business, all of those developers wouldn't just disappear. They would go straight to Xbox and Windows.

It's a subjective feeling thing, obviously. I think I'm just bitter that they turned into a western company.
This is how I feel. Sony seemingly wants to become a western company, but we already have one. So if one has to go, I feel like Sony would be the healthiest choice to cut.

The first console manufacturer that makes a required pachkino machine add on to any console. Needs to go.

"Please insert $1 to continue playing your video game"

Get out.

None would be my first choice -Sony is my 2nd choice due to the bolded. Don't like their games, their hardware, their stupid controller, the company and most especially their fanboys (I'm not referring to regular Sony fans, just the zealots)

Microsoft. Gaming got objectively worse the moment they got into gaming and made hype a mainstream thing amongst a games quality. Halo is hot shit and every good game they've introduced appeared and died on the original Xbox. Fight me.

If I HAD to choose, Nintendo. Microsoft is keeping Sony in check to some degree, and honestly Nintendo is basically non-existent to me anyways.

Thought about it a bit and went with Nintendo. Even though I love their games, their hardware is hardly impressive. Weak sauce!

So having their sweet games on much better hardware would be fabulous 🤤:lollipop_heart_with_arrow:

For me I guess it would be Nintendo as I haven't bought any of their consoles since the Gamecube. My older brother got a Wii but I hardly ever used it.

Nintendo is the only one that's different from the rest so it wouldn't be wise to get rid of that. It would make zero sense to have two very similar consoles each generation. It would be beyond stupid.

So the choice is between Sony and Microsoft. I choose Microsoft just because they already have a platform, Windows PC. Let's have Sony and Nintendo make consoles and let's have Microsoft make computer stuff.

MS
They don't actually make great games and simply have good hardware for multiplats. If Sony put a bit more juice into the PS5 to make the tflops equal, there would be no point to the Series X at all.

Sony and MS are both shells of their former selves. PS1 and OG XB - 2009 360 rocked.

Between the two I guess Sony. I just don't care for their story driven western first party games (except Sucker Punch, they're cool). MS first party hasn't been great either but they're on a better trajectory. Mattrick did a lot of damage.
