Since there's only a single option on the title screen, I'm guessing it'll be added to the base game, and will be accessible after you unlock the 3 lieutenants (like racing).
There's been a lot of activity over on Steamdb.
Whoa this is great news! I really hope the DLCs focus on predominantly linear set piece missions- those were the real highlights of the game!
How do I assign extra districts to one boss? I was pushing buttons all over the place and couldn't find anything. And who should I assign it all to? Thanks.
Looks like MAC support. There's nothing for PC version and latest version is set public.
I'm fairly sure 2K uses private app for PC development, which means you can't see activity there.
There's this
WHISKEY_DEV: https://steamdb.info/app/398870/history/
Whiskey was codename for Mafia 3
Totally agree with this.
I also thought that it is mac support but i think that it's not. There were lots of updates for that branch whenever there was patch for PC version.
Does this have to do with the new yellow icon missions that have popped up on my map? There are three separate missions that involve investigating a racket. I assume I complete each mission and then have an option to assign the racket to whichever boss? Finally some DLC news. Lets see how that will turn out.
It always works like this:
1. Damage both of the Rackets in 1 District to draw out the Underbosses.
2. Flip or Kill both of the Underbosses.
3. Assign both of the Rackets in the current District to the same person you want to assign the District to later.
4. Draw out the Lieutenant, kill him and afterwards you will be able to give the District to the person you want.
If you want everyone to be happy, you should give everyone 1 District 1st and afterwards give everyone their 2nd District.

Same for me. I just played the first few hours and so far it's been an absolute joy to play and watch.
Even if there is a grind on the horizon, as long as the story and characters keep up I can stomach nearly anything.
Yep, the game is pretty shit.
It's not, but it does have problems.
The only issue would be the repetitveness and even then I don't think it's that much worse than most other open world games to be honest.
Can't wait for the DLC.
The problem is the juxtaposition of the fantastic writing and main mission story presentation against the rest of the campaign structure. Mafia 3 is far and away the highest quality story told in one of these open world action games, so the repetitive racket takedowns stick out like a sore thumb. A lot of this could've been side stepped with clever smoke and mirror mission design to not make the game feel like a check list. The whole thing is just too transparent.
I think the DLC will be a lot better in this regard. This team seems much more talented at story arcs than emergence.

From what I've read it honestly sounds like an amazing game apart from repetitive mission design. My question is, are the controls and gunplay good enough to carry you through doing the same missions over and over agin?

This is right up there with the most satisfying gunplay in any open world crime game IMO. Not as dynamic as the Euphoria reactions in Rockstar's titles, but much, much more tight, swift and brutal. I certainly never grew tired of combat, even when I found myself wishing there was more variance in mission design.
How do the missions compare to the ones in GTA V? I mean, it also had repetitive missions.
Why?
It's not, but it does have problems.
It was well worth my time to get the Platinum
This game is far, far from "shit", it's a great game, especially mechanically, it's just mired in some terrible mission design and structure in parts.
For me, when compared to Mafia 1 & 2 the game is pretty shit.
It could've been a whole lot better than it is. Still runs bad on PC too.
I mean, it's been a while since I played Mafia 2, but I can't really remember anything in particular that would make it a bastion of game design.
The only issue would be the repetitveness and even then I don't think it's that much worse than most other open world games to be honest.

I want to buy this game... have they fixed the PC issues yet? Or should I go with the PS4 Pro version?
Is it possible for someone to find all the WVCE Holla black radio host speeches that are super woke as hell? Someone datamine them from the files? A compilation on Youtube? They're very relevant to politics right now and would love to listen to them again.
I love whenever The Holla on WVCE speaks, recorded a few videos especially about MLK Jr, FBI targeting black leaders, and whether peaceful protests are viable.
"It's hard to turn the other cheek when you're lying in a pool of your own goddamn blood."
The whole game is about the struggle between Father James' turning the other cheek and Lincoln Clay's reality of using violence to achieve justice. Yes, he might turn into a monster, but it's understandable. One of the most politically relevant videogames of our time.
There not in the same league tbh. M3 missions are closer to the far cry games approach the enemies some are labeled sentry if you don't take him out he will alert reinforcements. Most missions are just kill everyone to take the area over there's the odd follow the car and don't let them see you and more linear missions where your inside a building just killing everyone most of the time you are able to use the stealth mechanics wich are pretty fun tbh. Basically this game has ok gameplay decent graphics and performance and above average story telling and music. How do the missions compare to the ones in GTA V?
