But yes, Kingdom is a good series, thought outside of the violence I don't find it too similar to Berserk, its really more of a shounen, to a negative point in my view. But a good series none the less.

Fun chapter, always figured there would be a focus on the battle between the human members and families, and it was about time to see it happen. I wonder if he will get defeated though.

Fantastic chapter. Sarutobi, Inugami, and Higashide would make a great team. Their items that have been introduced are good too, think I like the backpack just as much as the weapons used to break the shed. And also, how fast Sarutobi arrived on the scene.

I love how people keep thinking that series with mangaka who had a previously popular work are given more leeway or are more likely to suceed in Jump, even though this is clearly not the case (beyond the fact that a popular creator will obviously have to have some sort of talent I mean)

I know it's dead, that's why I said "dying". Not quite dead until we have confirmation. But it's clearly dying at this point.
I imagine Black Clover's middling rank comes from kids seeing that it's an obvious Naruto clone but with magic. We'll see if it gets better
A couple weeks ago, I read someone judging the new Jump series by their "portrayal of women" and believing Kagamigami had the best shot (in International Jump) because it had the most positive woman, and that Black Clover didn't have a chance. That's adorable that you think most manga readers judge the series in a magazine for young boys by how they portray women. Keep having that viewpoint, it's clearly healthy.

I hate that it felt like there was some big reveal with Lucifer there at the end but it seemed to have gone over my head. Cant wait for the book release so I can read it all in a huge chunk.

Every single podcast Carlin did on the topic was liquid gold, and he most certainly doesn't whitewash the absolutely insane genocidal levels that the mongols reached. Or the greater strategical aspect of everything.
Think he did 5 shows on the mongols. All should still be free.

The "SHE'S A GIRL" motif of the fight rubbed me the wrong way but I will admit she held her own and gave it a real strong effort. How she reacted and composed herself in the next chapter was very good though and I hope she has a bright future ahead of her. I really want Uraraka to be a big player in this manga and not just thrown to the bushes like so many female characters are in shonen IPs. The Deku and Endeavor encounter was pretty good too. However it feels weird that we are getting the Deku vs. Todoroki fight now as it feels like it should be the climax of this arc, not the midpoint. I don't think a Deku vs. Bakugan encounter, if that's the end game here, would be meaningful this soon after their training fight in the previous arc.
While its naive, I don't think its entirely without merit. Despite the fact that being a property targeted towards boys doesn't mean you have to treat your female characters like shit, I think having non-shit female characters is a good way to broaden your appeal. I think part of the reason Attack on Titan is so popular with women, or at least that's the impression I get, is that even as flawed as characters like Mikasa or Annie are, they still stand above a lot of other female characters is similar manga.
