Question RE:Mics

With headsets ingame is everyone able to hear or only your team? Is there a way to enable/disable team only talk?

Still havent had an answer, does anybody know? I think we should ;-)

Hard to find out as so little people use them online....

Also, whats TKers? and how do you pick up the dog tags on the sneak missions as Snake? Just press triangle when crouching over? i saw the icon but it didnt seem to work for me.... :-s

I found out something cool. If you shake the controller up and down rapidly you can get out of the porno mag traps faster... :lol

As for Mics: Only your team can hear you (exception: you are dead, other dead people of either team can hear you but not your live team). To talk to everyone you have to use txt chat. Everyone can also hear you in the lobby.

dude, you had my back and kept waking me up everytime i'd get tranq'd. not a lot of people do that, thanks. some really good games tonight. getting caught in porno mags and teamates flipping you over to get you out is too funny.

Ha, yea you guys kept getting caught in my magazines. I caught a few enemies with them good though. I wish the team could see them better to free me up from having to figure out how to fix my mistake of allowing friendlys to get caught. Spinning around in circles dont work. I wish it wasn like 1am or i'd grab the mic. I need to learn the system though. I had th keyboard but didnt know how to type to the team.

Also in the mgs3 stage someon kept getting sniped with a tranq round. I would have woke him up but I kept thinking about how sniper wolf used Meryl as bait, and said screw it hah. I went looking for the sniper instead.

I was looking at the strategy guide of mgs4, and in the mgo part, they talk about a mode called team sneaking. It says that the attacking team is equipped with stealth camo and must capture an objective (the duck thing) while the defending team protects the target. I've never seen this mode in the game, anyone knows what they are talking about?

Those are 2 different modes. There's Sneaking mode which is where one person is Snake with Octocamo and there are two teams. Snake has to collect dog tags whist the teams try to kill him.

Then there's Rescue Mission which is where one team defends the duck and the other team tries to steal it.

Those look quite nice Alba, I think I like the second one more.

Im having a great time with MGO, the leveling up portion is great. But im having some troubles choosing my skills. I have cqc and blades at three now but in teamwork they are somewhat useless.

I currently use:

- Assault rifle lvl 2 (slots 2)
- Monomania lvl 2 (slots 1)
- Running lvl 1 (slots 1)

Any suggestions what could be better? I use monomania since I think its usefull in teamplay. Do people pay attention to it tho?

TAB on your keyboard switches between /all and /team, too.

They're already charging us $7 for extra characters and $5 for a codec pack that should have been in the game. The only free DLC I see coming, is the patches. They didn't name it the "Starter Pack" for no reason.

Christ on a cracker, they need to patch the ridiculous spawning in this game. Half the time my character will re-spawn directly in front of another player.

I just finished a game in which I died five separate times before I could even get out of the weapon select screen! Holy hell.

I think one of the skills you can equip will show your traps thru SOP to your team mates.

Not sure if its worth it to use a slot... but if you are trap crazy

@lawbob: you can delay your respawn by hitting select at the weapon screen. then you can get a view of the spawn and see if you got any campers or traffic there.

@zotty: I use sniper(lvl 2) mono (lvl1) and blades (lvl1). I'm gonna switch to running at some point but I LOVE mono (SsSSSHh!) and yes, I use it a lot and find it very useful.
