Tbh I hate the movie characters as guests too, it feels really on the nose greedy.
Mortal Kombat as a fighting game is the most corporatized there is ( MK11 literally had an auto battle mobile mode that was mandatory for a lot of costumes ).

I remember when MK11 was coming out and instead of having pro players play in a showcase they had some rando Wrestlers, kinda speaks volumes really.

Is just me, or was MK11 just kinda meh? Better roster than X but worse fighting system. Or not necessarily worse but way less interesting. My main Kharacter has always been Sub-Zero, and they completely reworked him from a pretty unique zoner into a basic as hell 50/50 game plan, and people still complained about him. The Kustom moveset concept was neat, but making it not tourney legal made it virtually pointless. Also fuck the loot box Kostume system it and Injustice 2 had.

I sold it a while ago but always see Ultimate on sale; is it any faster paced/interesting now? I’m not gonna be excited for 12 if it’s too similar to 11.
