The lead character looks like aids. Like she literally got aids and is dying. Uglier than Abby which I didnt think was possible, but like that Avowed director I wouldn't be surprised if Neil did this out of spite to piss off the gamers angry at Abby's character design.

It's his game, and ultimately his choice, but I cant help but feel sorry for the devs over at ND who have literally gone on record saying that your protagonist HAS to be attractive. they said that while showing off Nathan Drake's chest hair and masculine jaw line. But girls are not allowed to be sexy in Drunckman's world.

I think Ciri's design in Witcher 4 is a good compromise. She's not all that feminine, but feminine enough. She's scarred but still attractive. She's badass but still looks like a woman who you dont despise at first glance. Not sure why we cant have that in an ND game. This girl makes Aloy look like an Israeli supermodel.

I actually think this girl has a better face than Witcher 4 Ciri. Ciri looked like a fucking Space Marine.

At this point, any bad looking character would be realistic in any settings honestly. It's just that people prefer good looking character / good character design.
Here they clearly gave her the typical modern look that you can only despise at first glance.
 
The graphics looked amazing but I did find both characters in the trailer to be really bland and unlikable. Nothing "cool" about them. Not a great first impression but I'm sure it will be a great game. A focus on melee combat like is shown at the end, and maybe ship travel/combat, would be sweet.

Listen if the game is woke i'm not buying it just like i didn't buy dragon age veilguard, but i'm willing to give this game a chance before i immediately say it's woke trash or garbage.

The main character annoys the hell out of me. There's something off about her. She's super unlikeable and I can't put my finger on it yet. It's probably her arrogance.

Product placement doesn't feel organic, but immersion breaking and even worse than in-your-face sponsoring in Hollywood movies.

This was disappointing, tbh. Not interested.

so is the idea she has to be imprisoned as a back story? GI Jane she's in the military, Furiosa in Mad Max just shaves her hair for the fuck of it. I didn't realize a woman shaving her head was this radical act - it really seems like not a big deal to me
 
Interesting to see the dislike this ND game is already generating. Maybe enough to surpass TLOU2 lol

As for the reveal itself... Wasn't expecting something like this from ND. But we've been asking for a new IP and here we go. Let's see what they manage to cook up for 2026.

Only thing that felt a bit strange to me was the product placement but then again IIRC, the original Blader Runner also had a lot of product placement too?
 
I just want to know if this has some sort of space exploration.
Bit over the 80s vibes, but it works with a cyberpunk style theme which I felt from it. Too early yet, need to see gameplay to see whether I jump out to get a PS for day one. Or I'll just wait for the definitive edition on PC.
 
James Gunn needs to demand royalties so that we can stop having sci-fi infused with boomer music!! Making it the 80s instead of the 60s doesn't make it creative!!
 
I see why there's sorta concord vibes,but when that concord cgi trailer that was revealed a few months back,it was such a clear guardians of the galaxy rip-off…this wasn't pushed to those extremes… tech wise it looked really good,,,and those last 5 seconds,I'm guessing was gameplay,or a representation of gameplay,looked nothing like that turd concord… This looked like surge on some good roids…I like the atmosphere,art, setting in the gameplay end section a lot… just wish you had multiple protagonist to choose from like games did years back

but the premise is interesting and as long as the gameplay is fun,that should make a solid game

I mean, being unattractive/ugly is one thing. I could live with that if the character was at least likeable.

But you can tell by her expressions and body language she is annoying and arrogant. This combination makes for a very unlikable protag who can definitely get in the way of enjoying the game IMO.

Yeah I kind of have to agree. I really liked this in Guardians of the Galaxy, but it's been tiring seeing this in everything, and now that it's been overused, it feels less special even in guardians of the galaxy itself sadly, even if it's the one that started it.
