.....I don't think we can claim a game is filled with woke shit just looking at a main character. I also don't think games that have some gays or lesbians or deaf girls is an egregiously "woke" thing to care about. If they start preaching an overarching agenda into everything is where I draw the line.
Basically I care more about the story, narrative, and quality than I do about aspects of things that may lean a bit more "progressive".
I've never found ND's games to be egregious cases of any of that. TLOU2 is a pretty damn dark, depressing, gritty game.

that's true but you can always call an audible and make her a tiny bit more attractive. they had no problems changing the look of Ellie after the Ellen Page backlash. Just give her some slightly feminine features and a hairdo and you dont have this issue.

The first game did 19 million and the other IP that Sony did was touching 15-20+. Days Gone was a disappointment at 8-9 million, you cannot convince me that TLOU2 wasn't an underperformance in reality and in their eyes.
They will never say it because it requires too much: removing the shield around their premier studio and "caving" to the political pressure, but you sure as fuck don't see them saying the opposite, or even that it met their expectations.

Sure there was backlash against The Last of Us 2 back then, but that didn't matter, because they were living on the right side of history.

Definitely @ bolded. When you have GOW greatly outperforming it's previous entries. Spider-Man selling gangbusters. But yet, TLOU2 takes 2 years to hit 10M after various sales and discounts? A sequel to Sony's biggest exclusive on the PS3, save GT? They definitely aren't exactly happy with that result. Sure it didn't bomb, but it definitely underperformed.

Not at ALL what I want from Naughty Dog. The Last of Us was one of my favorite games of all time and I loved the Uncharted games. Back in 2013 I'd be shocked to know that I would later be shrugging at their 2024 new IP reveal.

That sword is her signature weapon. They feature it too much in the trailer. She also grabs an SMG, but this game will heavily feature 3rd person sword based combat. Those robots will be legally blind and wont "trigger" until you're 30 ft away from them.

If its actually engulfed in political correctness in some way, then its not going to end well. Knowing what Dr.Uckmann has said, done and stated in the recent years, there's a % chance for that. Hope they manage to steer away from that, if that's the case, by the time of its release.
