It's honestly a very influential film series from an art design POV.

Probably the only one the MCU ever produced. The rest is honestly all digital slop, even the good stuff isn't particularly good on that front.

I'd rather have something that feels like it's fresh, rather than something that seems chocked full of a lot of tropes we've seen over and over again in gaming in recent years.

Yes, the Jada Smith protagonist looks like peak SBI & and the sci-fi 80s synth wave tone of the game has also been used a lot but this game looks to be emphasising a lot on the sword gameplay (judging by the artwork alone) and I have a good feeling at least that aspect will be a banger when this studio is at work.

Can definitely agree to some extent, not all games can pull it off, some games or perhaps most games achieve legendary status thanks to it's protagonist.
This one though... Eeehhhh, we'll see. Nothing against an awful looking protagonist, that seems to be the norm nowadays... Knowing who's behind it all, it just feels so--ah fuck it nvm.

Given up on big AAA western game devs offering this. I've accepted we'll have to play as uggo's (no offence to the actors/actress and models - they ARE attactive people) until they all get Concord'd.

I didn't like TLOU2 so the ND name isn't enough to carry things for me anymore. That has to be one of the most unappealing main characters to play as. I will keep my eye on the game in case it turns out good, but I don't have any hype for it from what they have shown.

For some reason I find her character model more fitting like this being a bounty hunter that seems to be out on her own.

I like this better than some neon blue hair teased off to one side with heavy black eye make up type of character for this setting.
