The showed signs of shook vs okc too. They lucked out that klay had that amazing game in game 6. Also you realize their defense is worse this season right? Cavs now have options when to use offense or defense. Cavs know how to slow the game down and it works vs GS.
There is a difference between being scared of the moment versus being stunned from being beat down by another great team that is playing at another level.

I think I am done arguing with Cavs fan about how awesome their team is. I think the Cavs have a shot, but in this thread they fans overreact to anything negative people say about the Cavs. Both teams have strengths and weaknesses. Now that Lebron is playing with shooters the Warriors don't have the luxury of loading up in the paint, because if they do that in this finals they will get burned.

I've been wrong before about this team getting over nerves but you'd think coming back from 3-1 in a series would instill confidence in you and they would have had to be pretty confident to pull it off beforehand. This is not a team that has failed to rise to the occasion and this could be the series in which they are just supremely confident from the start.

I'm not even a Cavs fan, I just know people are underestimating them.

The Cavs basically only have a shot if GS is just wiped out from the brawl against OKC. That is the only way the Cavs win...I give them somewhere in the range of a 10-15% chance.

I mean, Lebron looks like he's back in full HGH mode, Kyrie hypothetically could put up a couple of 40 point games. 20%

Golden State needs to rebound better than they did against OKC. I'm confident they can handle Cleveland as long as they don't get destroyed on the boards again.

Remember that time guys? you remember.

Except again, I was referring to the only game Irving played in last years finals. Way to be classy though.

I'm used to smart ass responses from all the GSW fans on here the moment someone says something positive about the Cavs.

I don't see it that way.

The Cavs present a lot of matchup problems to any team when they have the ball. My skepticism is not with their talent, especially not on offense. I am just not sure they can play the defense required for 7 games in the NBA Finals to take out a team as good as the Warriors.

Luckily we don't have to wait that much longer.

It won't be a blowout for the Warriors though unless Kyrie and Love just don't show up at all. I could see Love falling apart, but Kyrie is going to have his moments.

Again, you realize that one play doesn't mean shit? Especially not in the face of actual data and evidence that proves otherwise? Getting a block doesn't make one a good defender.

They lucked out that the two greatest shooters of all time were able to win an elimination game?

I never understood this line of thinking. Why is a star player doing what he's paid to do lucky? Was OKC "lucking out" when Klay and Steph couldn't hit open shots in game 3 and 4?

And Golden State's defense is still top 5 this year (regular season and playoffs).

His hair game hasn't lost a beat lol.

I'm too lazy to look it up but I'm pretty sure Bynum's not even 30 yet. If I recall correctly he was part of the last class that allowed players to be drafted at 18.

Don't forget he was on Klay last year and did well.

This funny picture came out of it

The narratives are going to be

if Klay wins the FMVP tho. Which I could easily see happening, especially after that G6 in the WCF.

Has any player ever won the regular season MVP and won the finals twice without winning FMVP?

Speaking of the boards, I want to say I came away very impressed with Steven Adams' game. He was a monster on those boards. Can't believe he's only 22 either.

He played great considering he was pretty banged up, not to mention he survived that onslaught of kicks and take downs by Dray. Adams will be a good center for years to come.

Livingston isn't a 3pt threat but the rest of those guys are, or at least in mismatch situations out of a double. And Livingston is very solid with midrange shots.

Yup! It's pick your poison against the Warriors. I'd just feel a lot more confident forcing Green to make shots than let Curry torch me.

Last season GSW had the league's best defense and this year I think they were fourth best. But that's still quite good.

Everyone feels that way.

You want Green shooting as much as possible. What you don't want is him to be getting assists and/or getting to the rim.

I am very interested in how Green plays in the finals. I thought he really lost his composure more than a few times against OKC. He settled down in the last 2 games, but he looked like shit for half of the series.

How many two-way players does Cleveland have? LeBron and JR for sure, but everyone else is a minus on one side of the court.

Meanwhile, almost everyone on GS plays both ends.

Would be cool if Cleveland wins, only so the city can end it's drought of sports suffering. Just don't see it happening with a healthy GS. Sure Lebron has Kyrie and Love back but their defense is rather...lacking. Hopefully it goes 7 though.

Cavs- gaf... I need your help.. What were some really positive and memorable accomplishments this season for your team? Trying to put the finishing touches on the OP but I need a Cavs fan's voice

It's just jokes man, calm down. Kyrie is going to play good individual defense, but they are going to run pick and roll and a lot of off ball movement and screens and the Cavs are going to lose. Easy peasy.

I think a lot of the Warrior players were shook by being in the finals last year.

I don't see that being a problem this year. Also Klay is playing at a different level this year. Honestly so is Steph.

TBH I'm really surprise they if were. Lebron was the only offensive threat and he was playing 40+ minutes they just need to wear him out.

Have the Cavs winning in 6 or 7 games. Cavs are at full strength this time around and I think Lebron will play harder than he has ever played before and put the team on his back. He did that last finals except with Love, Irving hurt and really no help at all from players like JR Smith who could've made a difference.

I think/hope Lebron has a historic series for the ages and the city of Cleveland finally wins a professional sports championship.

Bynum bringing back the Sisqo platinum blonde look. I love it.

Even the best shooter bricks the majority of their shots with constant defensive pressure. It's been proven all through the history of basketball. Shooting teams usually choke because of that very reason. Yeah the Warriors aren't normal shooting teams from years past... But I just see things differently from you Warriors fans.

Cavs are like a better version of Trailblazers and can trouble GS in couple of games at least. If Cavs can eke out one close game they may find themselves in good position by Game 5.

Also, Draymond Green is going to miss a game due to suspension!

I would give them 30% chance... so GS in 6!

Oh my god, someone get JVG to yell three points to Gryffindor on Thursday.

Ha! Come to think of it, Klay's definitely in Gryffindor but I think it's 50-50 whether Steph is in Gryffindor or Slytherin.

Really hoping for both teams, and Curry and Lebron in particular, at their very best. A 7 game slugfest would be wonderful.

Warriors in 6. This has been the first year in probably 15 years where I watched a team play every game from game 1. It was fun living in the bay area and having the Warriors have such an incredible season. They brought me back into the NBA, lovem' for that. I really enjoyed the games against OKC.

If the Warriors play like they did in Games 5, 6, 7, I don't think Cavs can beat them. Even when Thunder threw their best punch, the Warriors took the blows and still had more in the tank. And the Thunder have more talent than the Cavs but just didn't execute when it mattered most.

I'll say Warriors in 6 but the warriors won't fall behind like the last series.

Even Durant said that they won such and such games because Curry and Klay were not hitting. Part of that was great defense that the cavs don't have.

The cavs do have the pieces to be able to respond with 3's when Klay and Curry get hot, but they can't match them 1 to 1. The Thunder didn't respond well at all in that respect. If they could have the series could have been different, especially in game 7.
