The Wind Up Bird Chronicle is such a great book, nice purchase. It's the only Murakami I have read, always meant to pick up another though

I was originally just going to pick up one or two of his books, which I did - The Wind Up Bird Chronicle and Kafka on the Shore. Left the other 3 on the shelf to come back to if I liked him. Then out of sheer coincidence there was an interview with him on NPR the next day, and I knew if I didn't go back then somebody would snap them up.

I read through the Lone Wolf and Cub manga a couple of years ago...good choice. Have you been able to find all the volumes? I had trouble finding a few of the earlier ones when I got the whole series a few years back. If you enjoy the series, you should check out the movies that were made as they closely resemble the LW&C manga.

You reminded me that I have to catch up on Bererk. I stopped getting them at volume 11...what are they up to right now, 26?

Finding all the volumes isn't the problem, I just can't often bring myself to pay $10 for one. All but 4 of the ones I bought (3, 4, 5, and 10) were less than half price second hand, and the other 4 were bought using Amazon's 4 for 3 deal.

Outside Japan, you can use the GPS with a homebrew application. You can download maps with a GDML application, which is fairly easy albeit a little long at first.

cool. But i still don't understand why Sony never sold the GPS peripheral in the U.S, i mean it's a no brainer! plus people can use it in cars....for those GPS-less cars.

The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle is easily my favourite book of all time, though I highly recommend starting with Hard Boiled Wonderland. It's a little easier to digest if you haven't head a lot of Murakami before. Wind-Up Bird Chronicle seems almost like an acquired taste compared to his other books.

that's crazy man, I bought the Green PONR lined jacket off sum kid back in like 2005... it looked all authentic but eventually turned out to be fake, altho a somewhat well made fake (jus some of the colors were off, and a lot of the stitching is not very good)

still a nice jacket, but I cant wear it in places where I could be called out for it!!! It also set me back $200... freakin robbed by a 12th grader :lol

Adding two new arcade sticks to my collection... Brings me to a grand total of 65 arcade sticks.

The ones I got today were especially notable because they are almost impossible to find mint in box nowadays. Heck, some people probably haven't even seen or heard of them. Another special thing about these two stick lever is an optical stick which is pretty much identical in construction to the Sanwa Flash arcade stick that is so sought after... An optical stick is much like the Happ Perfect 360 arcade sticks, it uses an optical sensor and has no click when registering inputs.

Ok here's my crap...

I had this baby in the box... I do admit to selling my 60gb launch console for this one (yes I know, but I didnt really use the BC and I was planning on upgrading the HDD... the finish on this one won me over.. so sexy)

Upgraded my old XBR2 32' Bravia... Samsung LN40A750 from Amazon Warehouse deals... great price and unit was almost perfect... few hairline 'scratches' on the finish... everything else perfect.

Heard about these and decided to pick them up... old school Gen1 love here... not sure theyre reall worth $3.99 a piece but nostalgia owns me

Fallout3... never played the others (skipped over them back in the day)... the game has had me hooked since I got it tho.. this is why I normally skip RPG's since I just dont have time!!!

Hulk to give me a new BR to watch... movie is supposed to be good so I said f-it.
