Even this is way better ^

Some cheesy dialogue and cool shots. IDK. Man of Steel and Spider-Man 3 had cool shots.

"What if we say no?"

"Say yes."

If that's the best you can put in a trailer, things probably aren't lookin' good

Mah man.

I will never forget this moment on cinemas, a Celestial

FUCKING

CELESTIAL

And still we can't get a goddamn proper Dr. Doom? Fucking bullshit.

Can't wait to see more of this shit once Dr. Strange bring the heavy stuff.
I won't lie, I lost my shit when I saw the Celestial in theaters.

Marvel's greatest, most recognizable villain, and every filmmaker who gets their hands on him says "We can't put THAT on screen!"

This honestly didn't look too bad. I mean the character himself was awful in the movies, but his look remained pretty good, especially for a pre-MCU comic book movie.

He's not Marvel's most recognizable villain though. He is to comic book fans, but the general public doesn't really know much about Doom, especially since the Fantastic Four TV show wasn't as well received as X-Men or Spider-Man. The general populous will know Magneto or Green Goblin or Venom moreso than Doom.

There was a Darth Vader vs Doom Death Battle and the majority of the reactors thought Vader would take it and were surprised that Doom is basically god.

Most of the movie goers that i saw in my show were all "We did just watched a motherfucking celestial?". The same when we waited until the end to see "we just got trolled by fucking Howard the Duck?"

word. no surprise that the curators of the source material would make sure these sorts of things are properly represented.

I lost my shit at Howard the Duck. That's probably the biggest surprise I've ever gotten in a movie before. So glad I didn't get spoiled on that one.

I have consistently lost a good deal of shit at pretty much every recent MCU film.

-"Who the hell is Bucky?"
-Doctor Strange namedrop
-Rocket & Groot's introduction
-Thanos throwing epic shade at Ronan
-Celestial appearance
-most of AoU

I get it, MCU sucks etc, but there is a damn good reason why I highly value the accurate representation of moments and characters from the comics. I'm always open to new interpretations but when you get shit like this new Doom it feels like they're actively trying to piss off fans and be different for no real reason.

I thought The Thing looked pretty cool until I realized he wasn't wearing any pants. And then it just got strange.

Poor FF. I like them in the comics but I don't see this movie version doing well either. The FF deserve better.

He might not be Marvel's most recognizable villain, but saying that the general public doesn't know much about Doom is wrong as well. Out of all the various Fantastic Four villains, Doom and Galactus are fairly well known by virtue of having become pop culture icons of their own. Doom is certainly in the top 10 or so most recognizable villains of the Marvel brand.
Both of these villains also happen to appear in many Marvel cartoons these days. In basically every recent cartoon produced by Marvel, Doom appears in some shape or form - either as main antagonist (Super Hero Squad) or as a really powerful antagonist in some arc (Avengers cartoons, Ultimate Spider-Man).
He also appeared in various Marvel games that have been popular - he's been a mainstay in the Marvel vs Capcom series, he's been the main antagonist of Marvel Ultimate Alliance, Marvel Lego Superheroes, the Super Hero Squad game, Marvel Heroes, Marvel Avengers Alliance and many more that I can't recall right now.
And let's not even begin with merchandise. In a lot of generic Marvel figure sets, you will find that Doom is going to be one of the first few, and usually one of the first 3 or so villains. Heck my sister even bought me a Dr. Doom piggy bank last christmas.

Dr Strange namedrop & CELESTIALS blew my mind.

What a time to be alive.

I shat my pants at that. And it's my most anticipated movie of all time, at this point. Dr. Strange is my favourite Marvel hero, and he's gonna open up the whole supernatural side of Marvel which is the coolest shit of all time.
Man I really hope they do more with the magic/horror stuff than just Strange. Bring on Werewolf by Night, all the vampire stuff, the Hellstrom siblings, (a good) Ghost Rider, Brother Voodoo, the Legion of Monsters and the (new) Howling Commandos. Also Dormammu and well-done Mephisto. I'd lose my shit so much.

Ghost Rider 2 was amazing.

In terms of pure "I would get hammered as shit and love this", I'd honestly say Spirit of Vengeance and Punisher: War Zone are the best Marvel films.

War Zone was great fun.

I have only seen parts of the 2nd Ghost Rider movie. I want to watch it, but it's not on Xfinity or Netflix. The guys who directed it also directed Crank, Crank 2, and Gamer, which is a guilty pleasure of mine.

Michael C. Hall being awesome:

The Ghost Rider and Punisher character rights reverted back to Marvel after those films, so I hope the same thing happens with the FF.

Celestials
Vision: The Movie

I do think it's odd that The Collector found video footage of the Celestials though. ;)

The first trailer looked interesting. This, eh, did not.
I was thinking the same thing. Regardless of if the movie is good or bad, you can still make an interesting trailer. I just found myself laughing at this trailer for all the wrong reasons (most of those reasons being the crap CGI).

If this movie manages to make the 2005 Doom the definitive movie Doom I won't be angry, I'll be impressed.
2005 Doom already set the bar low, but it seems this movie is willing beat the previous record.

I recommend watching the 1994 unreleased Fantastic Four film. It's overall really bad, but at least its Doom is better than that 2005 piece of rubbish.

What have they done to Doom?

This whole movie looks like a comic book adaptation by people who don't have the least interest in comic books or superheroes in general. Everything is weird and dark and gritty. There are recognizable elements, but nothing feels right.

I could be wrong, of course. I hope I'll be pleasantly surprised.
