Nintendo Direct: new presentation announced for tomorrow

I can see them talking about Pokken alot. Hopefully 1 or 2 new characters are gonna get revealed but I feel like what we have now is it.

Gibe Scizor.

Any time they spend on Federation Force will be wasted unfortunately.

They would really have to show something amazing for me to want to buy it.

Honestly, I'm just glad that we're still getting directs... The new Nintendo president was talking of changing the format which is often a nice way of saying "we're going to do something else now."

The concepts of the directs themselves are awesome, even if sometimes they are lack luster in content.

I hope they give a date for the NX reveal at the end and it's before E3

Feel this is going to need to be posted every page.

All i care about is getting EU release dates for Yokai Watch, Starfox and most of all Fire Emblem Fates. I think i'll get all 3. Paper Mario U would be a nice extra, not expecting Zelda because i think they want to re-reveal it on NX, and the only reasons they could have to show it tomorrow are 1) proving that they didn't "forgot" about the Wii U audience and 2) highlighting the differences with the NX version in retrospective when they'll show that version at a later date.

I thnk I heard there were already review copies out there with just the current roster? I'm not expecting more at least.

We still really need Scizor/Heracross and a Hitmon though. ;-;

I too would like to see Mr Kimishima in front of the camera but it is kind of odd that we expect our CEO's to be performers and presenters in this industry.

Not really. If anything it's odd that so many other industries seem okay with having CEOs that have zero passion or knowledge for the products the company is selling.

Unless you mean the goofy skits that Iwata always used to feature in, because yeah, those were kind of weird.

My point, to be extra clear, was that these Directs aren't as exciting because it's clear no more megatons will be announced until the NX announcencement.

It's also because Nintendo that you can't get excited for 3DS or Wii U stuff anymore.

They've made it obvious that nothing genuinely exciting will release for those platforms anymore.

Who's the bitter one?

Do you want me to pretend like I'm not excited for anything already announced for those platforms, just so you can pretend to be right?

I've addressed all I need to, and properly at that. Go be paranoid to someone else :)

Are you practicing performance art? You dun goofed, its okay.

lol

I only base that on

- The timeframe of release (Winter 2016 really?)
- The complete withholding of information for a game releasing this year
- Trailer hinted at being an NX game as well (this one is a stretch but hey)

Might as well just said yes

Yokai Watch release date was already announced for EU - April 29.

Uh thanks for that, i missed it somehow.

Now that i think about it, they'll definitely show Federation Force tomorrow. Hope that's not all they have in store for the Metroid 30th anniversary...

DrRobSchiz would have you think it's because it's a cross-platform release which I don't personally feel it will be, but he makes a good argument as to why it could. Regardless I agree that if they didn't show it on Pokémon day they're waiting for a big blowout reveal, perhaps at E3.
But at the same time, wouldn't they want E3 to be a big blowout of NX games (maybe mobile as well, but I'm not counting on it)? If anything, the Wii U & 3DS games may be used in a Mini-Direct before their main E3 presentation.

Quick recap / launch trailer for TPHD
Details on Pokkén, Zelda and Star Fox
Localization news of #FE, EU release date for Fates and Rhythm Heaven (please)
One more major Splatoon update / Squid Sisters Amiibo
Mother 3 VC
Paper Mario Wii U

Are my guesses.

It looks like they are going to blow through the last of the WiiU/3DS software in this direct

Sure 3DS will continue to get stuff throughout the rest of 2016 and WiiU is guaranteed to get Zelda

But This is WiiU's final push it seems

After how the last Nintendo Direct went, I'm keeping expectations at ground zero. Granted, the recent rumors / leaks of the 3DS game lineup paint what's likely to be a more interesting (IMO) list than the lineup of games shown at the previous Direct; but I'm not expecting anything much regardless. It'll probably have absolutely crappy pacing like the last one too, with too much info on games we already know about.

At the very least, we should finally get some more info on Nintendo Accounts and MyNintendo. NX and mobile still not being revealed yet tells me they're either holding them off for a separate conference (been roughly a year since they were first announced) or Nintendo's holding off on them until E3.

Very much expecting Star Fox Zero to be delayed. For how long, that's the question...

You just made that up, didn't you?

All this would make my day even if it's not HUGE news.

This is smack dab in the middle of my shift =/

At least they won't talk about NX tho, I'd probably have to call off.

No update on mobile projects or NX platform
Oh....well than I will see myself out because on top of this if they didn't share Pokémon SuMo details last week they won't share any now.

Are you kidding? The last Direct was amazing.

Well, the Wii U is guaranteed Zelda U & one other unannounced game (likely Paper Mario U). Plus there's the Mother 3 localization hitting the Virtual Console. Though not showing off Sun/Moon in this Direct would be a bit weird since it's one of the only remaining big 3DS exclusives on the way.

Are you kidding? The last Direct was amazing.

Are either of you referring to the pokemon direct?

Last 'actual' direct was phenomenal. Pokemon direct was underwhelming thanks to leak.

Please don't announce MHX for 3DS.

Leave it for NX.

But it's already a 3DS game?

Maybe Ultimate MHX (even though MHX is BASICALLY an ultimate MH game already).

Wasnt that the one where bayonwas revealed for smash or was that a smash direct?

Smash direct.

CLOUD was revealed in the last direct. FREAKING CLOUD. That alone made the last direct phenomenal.
