Why is the men's hurdles 110 meters and women's only 100 meters? All the other running events seem to be the same, so why did they add 10m for men? Or subtract 10m from women, whatever.

He was talking about how the US team was working really hard to bring their reputation back up in international baketball, by not being asses, and that doesn't help. Apparently they got the Canadian coach in to help them with their attitude and tell them how other teams percieved them.
In terms of international basketball, Gaze is a pretty good guy to listen to, despite his Aussie bias.

Bottom of 12th, Canada up at bat, down by a run, with 2 runners on base and 2 outs, and Taiwan makes a pitching change. After warming up, the new pitcher is winding up to throw when Canada's manager comes out and starts complaining to the ump about something. The ump then orders the pitcher to take off his necklace (which is completely hidden under a turtleneck). The ump is Australian and the pitcher doesn't understand..so they call out a translator. After a huge fuss, the pitcher starts taking off his necklace, but it's stuck, so they get some assistant to help him which takes a while.
After all is said and done, play resumes and the Taiwan pitcher strikes out the hitter on 3 pitches to end the game. Boo Canada.

why were there people shouting CHINA! CHINA! CHINA! during the USA vs Australia basketball game? i have heard it during other events where there is no Chinese involvement as well

How you decide to swim should be irrelevant.
Shall we have skipping? Hopping? What about running backwards? Why is swimming treated differently?
Some days I prefer to skip down the road to catch my train. Should skipping be a sport? Maybe the moonwalk perhaps?
Athletics only has one of these ridiculous events, the walk. Its just 1 medal. Swimming has built a mountain of superfluous medals from redundant strokes.
It's a race. Down the water. Fastest.
Including events because other countries would be rubbish at freestyle...this is no argument. Shall we ban track and field then? The Chinese are shit at that.
Shot vs. Javelin are you serious? They are different objects. In swimming you dont get any obstacles or different apparatus. You intentionally cripple your style.
No logical comeback to this at all.
