If the deal happens, it means Liverpool becomes an even richer club than Man City, with owners eager to become #1.

The pontential is enormous with Liverpool already big in Asia would become massive in China, any company looking to go big in China will want to be associated with Liverpool so even more sponsorship opportunities etc etc This could be very big

Can we get Ligue 1 added to the OP?

On that note - I'm much closer to ponying up for FS+ on Directv now that it's confirmed that Ligue 1 is still part of the programming package.

The jersey of St. Pauli has been voted the best looking of the Bundesliga:

Awesome thing is that you can turn it inside out and then there's this:

Liverpool: Cavalieri, Johnson, Skrtel, Carragher, Kelly, Jovanovic, Gerrard, Lucas, Cole, Pacheco, Ngog. Subs: Gulacsi, Aquilani, Kyrgiakos, Maxi, Wilson, Spearing, Eccleston.

Glad to see Pacheco starting this one. It's on both ITV4 and LFCTV, kick-off 19:45.

Only a few days back from his holiday along with the other World Cup finalists. He should be available for the Arsenal game.

any room for newcomers? been lurking this thread for 2yrs, I think it's time I participate :lol
if so, i'll be happy to anger most of you with my support of the blues, starting at the community shield~

Can't believe we conceded in 5 to Legia Warsaw, we really need to bring in a new goalkeeper and a center back sharpish.

It makes so much sense; I really really want it to happen.

:D :D

I really love how benfiquistas usually have this holier than thou attitude always calling portistas dirty thugs, and then today all I see is a disgraceful Benfica side on the pitch, doing some really nasty tackles, elbowing left and right, never kicking the ball out so injured players could be treated... fuck these sore loser hypocrites.

Prediction for today // Chelsea 3 - 1 Manure (Community Shield)

Both teams deserve to be booed to fuck after the shambles that was the England performance in the WC.

Rooney, Lamps, Terry the fucking lot of 'em! :lol

West Ham beat Deportivo on pens in the last friendly of the season :D

Good result, and good to see "England flop" Robert Green save a penalty from Deportivo la Coruna, while "England's Number 1" David James lets in 3 against fucking Millwall :p

Also, good to see Cole get a call-up to the England squad.

We'll get the SPL and at least one cup this year. Hopefully we have a good run in the Europe as well (knockout stages of the Champions League will be fine by me) to help us with our debt.

I do not see Celtic posing any threat this year. Lennon doesn't know what he's doing, their team consists of wreckage from two previous managers and Lennon's "inspired" signings. Whereas the Rangers team, for all we've lost, you have the idea that the players are comfortable with each other and are a cohesive team. But getting a decent striker to replace Boyd will be the greatest priority.

I wouldn't be so sure.

They did sign Daryl Murphy after all.

I don't know who he is, so allow me to not_sure_if_serious.gif this one.

Once my work permit is sorted and I've got an apartment in Taiwan the first thing I'll be doing is ordering a Rangers kit.

The one thing that both sides of the Old Firm can agree on is that our new strips with "TENNANTS" on them look terrible. :lol

And yet EA are going with Shrek on the cover of FIFA yet again.:lol

I love the font on the back of the new Werder Bremen shirt, looks like it was designed by Bauhaus or something.

However, the less said about FC Koln's choice the better...

If there was any further indication that the Community Shield is the Mickey Mouse cup of English football, Berbatov scored :lol

Although I'll begrudgingly admit that it was a nice finish. Good game for the neutral.

Hammers have already won more cups than Chelski will this season

Glad that is finally over. Did I read in the papers today cesc said he is only staying because he is being forced?

I think this will be his last season there.
we shouldn't waste money trying to sign someone as a make up for not getting Cesc. We promote a couple of our guys from the youth system, and then get Cesc next year.

Really want to see dudes like Dos Santos and Thiago in the first team. Good players.

chicharito has been fantastic everytime ive seen him play, both mexico and united

this season's reminding me off the "you cant win anything with kids" one. cant wait to see the newcastle thrashing

Brilliant game, some moments could have been better but it's only a 'friendly'. Good news though we have won the:
