Only played two games so far, on PS4, first time playing human opponents in a fps in about 5 years. First game, team got destroyed, wasn't even close, second game went to overtime with a clutch D.va player named Mr_Ninjafist, using ultimate at the end to pull out a win. I didn't know you could fly then eject and the mech still have forward momentum.

If say the fun value ramps significantly with 3 or more team play focused players.

Full team of friends is so much fun

This, in the beta I only played one solo match, even with at least one other person the game completely changes for the better.

I'm one of those players who hate team focused games but overwatch kind of requires it a lot more then say team fortress 2.

they changed some stuff for the PS4/console version.

but for me something seemed strange about the PS4 controls, especially after playing doom on my PS4, so I went with the PC version

Does the PS4 version still have that slight input filtering from the beta? Made the beta feel a little sluggish.

Buddy and I just got onto a team on PS4 where the four of them all picked Zarya so naturally we did the same. Six Zaryas clean swept the king of the hill type mode. Obviously this won't work against more knowledgeable players but god damn was it fun.

Having fun with this so far despite being a total fps noob, I was afraid I would get destroyed left and right but except for a pretty pathetic game with Tracer I feel like I'm doing alright.

Could some PC players add me?

Having trouble adding from in game
Pretty sure you need to add friends from Battle.net (and you need the # at the end of your username for other people to add you).

Zenyatta is hard to play but I had 2 play of the game since I started, I will persevere, loving the gameplay of the character so far.

Took the day off and was pretty annoyed at a 10 GB update, especially since download speeds were terrible and giving me an estimate of 97 hours :p. Restarted my PS4 and now it's only a 3.3 GB update? Anyway, can't wait!

The PS4 remembers how much you already downloaded

I just created a battle.net account. Are there any benefits, bonuses or other functions for PS4 players through the account? I linked it to my PSN account.

So my path to this game is... kinda stupid. Like 4 or 5 weeks ago my Girlfriend and I took my kids to Taco Bell after a day at the park. Good fun. I saw the cups and made everyone get a large drink because of all the hubbub about this game and Battleborn. I still wasn't sure which was which as I'd literally read NOTHING about either of them, and I thought it was some kind of weird MOBA thingy. I knew one was from Gearbox and one was from Blizzard and I knew the Gearbox one, whichever that was, was probably going to crash and burn because everyone would laser-focus on the Blizz game.

I tried everyone's cup codes and of course didn't win. No biggie. I wasn't expecting to, and really hadn't been looking forward to any of this.

Since then I've been listening to a lot of podcasts and reading on here and I'm caught up much more on who is who and what is what. Still had not played either game. Fast forward to last week my Girlfriend and I go to Taco Bell again and I see that, despite the poster still being up and thus my buying us both large drinks, that the cups are now gone and the promotion is over. I'm somewhat disappointing as I know a lot of people on here have won stuff from TB promotions over the years and I was hoping I might join such an august group.

Just completely out of nowhere, even though I have a huge backlog and am also currently loving DooM, I'm like "Promotion is over? Fuck this. This bullshit will not stand." and just order the PC version on my phone while we're eating. I don't know any of the maps. I don't know any of the characters. I know it's Blizz so I expect a base level of polish. I know there was some controversy regarding some win poses for a character. I know it's not Battleborn. I had not played either beta or even watched any of the trailers. It was like a total spur-of-the-moment thing which I can't entirely explain. My kids and I did enjoy some trailers over the weekend, I'll admit.

That all said, I'm there at 7pm EST last night watching the Giant Bomb stream and waiting for the PC version to come 'round while my Girlfriend is at yoga and I finally got to give it a go for about an hour. I really enjoyed it! I went through the tutorial and found some characters I really like (Soldier 76, Reinhardt, and Zendaya all depending on what the team needs at the moment) and I've gotta say that it runs really great on my somewhat older PC (running Geforce 560) and is super buttery smooth. I really like it. Hell, I woke up at 4 am this morning (3 hours before work) to get some gaming in.

Definitely a strange path for me to take to this game but it was well worth it. For me it really came out of nowhere somehow so I'm amazed to see how it's even popping up in my social feeds since I don't know too many gamers in real life. I guess this thing is going to be super huge!

Edit: My battle tag is now on the official spreadsheet so feel free to friend me.

Played a couple of matches before work, and I like it so far. Spent most of the time testing the different characters before going into the matches, but cant say that I have any favourite so far. Although I was voted MVP once while playing as D.Va :D
Only played with randoms and that is not something i recommend doing unless you really have to because that was shall we say less fun at times :p I reckon the random lobbies will be better once players get to know the game more.
Lastly, how do you proceed if you want to join up with other gaffers in the PS4 group? Do you just start a party or join someone elses? I am new to this kind of thing.

Waiting for my PS4 collector's edition to be delivered by UPS, played a quick match on PC.

God, this game is still so good.

Also dipped my toe into the new (?) Legion beta. Blizzard finally fixed the blurry damage numbers! Yay.

Feel free to friend me if you like (PC)- "Horseticuffs" I'm still getting my sea-legs, and I don't really care much to voice chat, but I try to fill whatever role the match needs.

Add others from the google doc! It's quotable in the OP. Also, your battletag is Horseticuffs#1234 (Not those 4 numbers, but there are 4 numbers to differentiate them all, people can't add you without those. IE Mine isn't just my name it's also got a #1685 on it)

I just played six games in a row without dying once.

lots of new players + playing Doom on Ultraviolence = the best I've ever been at shooters?

Let's chalk it up to *holy shit* so many new players.
