I love playing Reinhardt and its awesome when people stand behind you and you crush everything in your path.
I just wish they would find cover when it starts getting really cracked because im dropping it before its destroyed. it takes way longer to recharge after its been totally destroyed rather than dropping it just before.

I also see other Reinhardt players with it up when there not being attacked. Don't do this as it doesn't recharge when active.

Lost a game handily. The POTG was a Reinhardt stunning 3 of us and then killing us by swinging his hammer along the ground while we were down.

I said to everyone, "literally wiping the floor with us." Then someone said " figuratively* " which just made my blood boil because he was the one that was confused but was correcting me.

Yeah, that kind of thing literally makes my blood boil.

Well, I just got the game after finding some credit/gift cards. (Really enjoyed the beta but it was too much in Canada)

I think I won one of the three matches played but still had a great time. Looking forward to playing with the usual GAF crew from BLOPS3 & BF4.

Pharah, i just hit shift the second I see her

Stun fan of course. Or Tracer, I love Tracer. But typically I say McCree when I just don't want to deal with her at all and want to erase her from my sight immediately.

Had a great match where this Mei kept trying to ambush me as McCree, she did once early on in the match when I was trying to catch a Lucio but after that, she basically continuously went straight to the respawn screen.

So I got to escort payload and my team just picked a Bastion and two Hanzos for some reason. Thankfully the enemy team is just as bad and can't handle my single Reinhardt.

The last 10 meters or so people finally snapped and switched heroes. Crazy fun.

so what character you think have the highest skill cap ?
Funny enough, I would say McCree has a high skill ceiling. That doesn't mean he's hard to play, more like saying there's a HUGE difference between a pro and someone who is decent with him.

I would agree with your Genji but not Reinhart. Zenyatta, Symmetra, Hanzo, and Widow would also be good candidates too.

I honestly find mccree cheese way more annoying than mei's.

i noticed that some rein players just leave the shield up and not realize people are attacking them from behind until they realized their HP is almost gone lol.

ha yeah I've also found the easiest way to take out a Reinhardt (provided you have some health or good defence) is jsut charging at them, getting in their face and behind their shield.

I'm curious since everyone here hates Mei because she's well aMEIzing

What is your counter to her gaf

Zarya. I love how most of them seem to either just mentally shut down and stand still, or panic and flee as soon as I bubble out of the freeze and come after them with a 100 energy death star laser. Bonus: saving your Mercy from blizzards.

Pharah works well but the hitbox on that icicle is Hanzo levels of bullshit and sometimes they land a lucky 'headshot' (more like knee shot) on me midair. Also I've been frozen by her ult while at the top of my jump which is fucking nonsense.

I obliterated herds of them on my Widowmaker stint last night. The more I play this character the more I'm baffled by why people keep picking her because they clearly can't fucking aim. I have barely an hour on her and I've been consistently removing enemy Mercy players from existence. The ones on my team (who insta-lock her regardless of how many Hanzos we have) do this literally never.

McCree is such a dumb, boring character.

I think people who play him need an "I win button" crutch or are desperate for "le competitive gaming" and need to win at all costs.

McCree and Widowmaker are literally "tryhard no fun allowed" characters.

Well yes, also as I posted a few time
Overwatch Netcode 60Hz Test Results & More!
does some simple explanations.

And if you mention anything close to tick rate
GJN7L6K.png

You keep posting this, that video literally has nothing to do with tickrate. Dude explains tickrate, then shows an example of lag correction and 'favor the shooter'

Like, the thing that happens in the video with the two tracers would happen anyway if the tickrate was infinity and the shooter had 0 ping - you run by, you get shot, you die. The only thing the latency is doing is making you die a fraction of a second later on your end, which I agree feels kind of shitty, but the reality is YOU GOT SHOT AND YOU DIED in a perfectly appropriate manner. You weren't 'around the corner' when you got shot, you were around the corner when the data hit the client.

no. that's the god damn problem. I pick damage, let the timer expire, and we're in the lobby with no heal and/or tank. So then I pick heal or tank. probably 80% of the games I'm in. I WANT to play more damage, like ANY CHANCE I GET I play damage, yet 80% of my time played it tank or support.

Think about that.. I let the timer expire to the lobby.. and in 80% of the games I'm in I have to pick either tank or support in the staging area because the team didn't already fill those roles.

well, but that's the age-old moba issue - everyone wants to play damage, yet those positions are limited. Without having played the game myself, I assume that might be less of a problem in Overwatch because tanks or support aren't necessarily required and you're not draining experience points/gold from your carries

Good games with GAF last night. Highlights included a double tracer + reaper back cap on volskaya where the entire enemy team minus Mccree ignored us and getting a 21 kill streak on Anubis defense with Torb.

So don't switch. Play what you want. No one is forcing your hand here. I've had plenty of games with no tanks or no healers or the rare cases of neither and we still won. There's no point in switching if you're going to make yourself mad.

The problem is there is no way to spend X amount of money to get a particular bit of fluff.

In Hearthstone for example you can spend a certain amount of money and even if you don't get the card you're looking for you can disenchant everything and craft the card you're looking for.

In Overwatch though you have to keep buying until you get enough credits via credit/duplicates to buy what you want and that could take a lot of money thanks to RNG.

Hearthstone is bad in that aspect, Overwatch is worse.

That said, at least in Overwatch it is just fluff so it really doesn't matter. It is incredibly interesting to me what people will gamble for a piece of fluff that doesn't affect gameplay in any meaningful way, though. :) From my point of view it is a really poor way to spend your money, money that could go towards other games, hardware upgrades, practically anything with more value than a virtual item that has no stats.

But it's all cosmetic (New heroes and maps confirmed to be free) so im cool with the random loot drops.
I guess that the reason you cant "disenchant" stuff to buy specific loot directly is because there is to extend the live of the current loot pool.

Anyway, im cool with both HS and OW. Plan to buy OW next week... just for Pharah :3

This dude clearly explains why tickrate isn't that big of a deal in the grand scheme of things. It's a good video, and I think you're drawing the wrong conclusions from it.

"I hope the developers get rid of the 20 updates per second as that has a significant impact on the network delay"
https://youtu.be/H0zbpPCdhGk?t=2m11s

"But to receive 60 instead of just 20 updates per second does not only reduce the lag it also provides the players with a smoother gameplay experience because the game has much more data to work with"

and so on and so forth.

Is my conclusion wrong? Its not.

It literally does have with tickrate to do, as the updates would help with the latency issues and make the experience smoother.
It wont fix the problem, but it would make it better.

Anectdotal but I have had over 400 matches and have yet to find an stand outtishly annoying McCree, I found decent McCrees, who can use highnoon okay and know how to ambush, but Bastion has caused WAAAY more problems in my pub games. So much so that even switching to characters and killing him over and over does not discourage the player into switching out because he knows one person cannot save a garbage team.

Sheeesh I didn't realize I was such a tool for playing McCree.

Out of Reaper, McCree or Mercy. Which one has the better skins? I ask because I have enough to buy just one and I'm torn on the skins.

Mercy has changed dialogue lines for her different legendary skins.

The devil one is also super cute.

I love it when you can tell that the other team has just lost it. All of a sudden there's four junkrats in suicide mode.

Anecdotes and all, but I find that pubs seem to deal with bastion much better now. Though there are still tunes where I see a genji hiding away from bastion for some reason.

Yeah if you let it get destroyed it takes 5 seconds before it starts to recharge instead of 2 so it's worth it to drop and let it regen.

I'm so bad at Rein. I'm 2W 6L so far :(

Nah, reinhardt is actually super fucking scary if people try to engage him in his range. Build up your earthshaker and you can wipe the whole attack team. Run around swinging if people are approaching you. The hitbox on it is stupid and it does massive damage.

Yeah Reinhardt is amazing. You have to know when to be aggressive with him.

Damn no love for Mcree and his Cosplay outfits. Is there any extra thing with the Mariachi outfit for Reaper or is it just Mexican Pride?

Zentatta has become fucking infuriating for me as D.Va. He always kills me even if I get the drop on him because I get a fucking discord orb placed on me and get fucked up by the rest of the team or even him.
