Thing is most Bastions aren't fast enough to realize that Genji is killing them with their own bullets I guess.

Pretty damn easy to tell when he does it though

Edit - also, why is the matchmaking so shit? It's like it just throws you together completely at random. Something you run into groups that just completely destroy you at every level, and it's clear all their players are way better than your team

I was just getting started!

I'm starting to kinda like Mercy. Of course it depends on the map, and the people I play with, but I feel like it really helps my attention span and reaction time a lot. Her Blaster is actually pretty great, way better than I had expected.

Even if the Bastion is that one in a hundred that instantly stops firing during deflect, Genji is still a great option, A couple shuriken bursts to Bastion's weak spot and it's over. Poke at the weak spot, if the Bastion turns around you can use deflect to safely get into cover even if it doesn't outright kill him.

Also shooting grenades at the spawn exits when defending without being in the line of sight. So good

Those awesome games where you get 3 gold and 2 silver medals. So glad this game has solid matchmaking and not server browsers.

No official verification, but I heard at the moment it's a bit fucked because of how new everyone is. If you managed to win 5 games in a row against complete newbies, it would give you a good rank. However, that means it might pair you against another team who won 5 in a row, but they are a coordinated powerhouse that really worked hard for their wins. It'll even out eventually.

Because it's not an ability, Lucio's on the other hand is an ability it is the only "alternate fire" that has a cooldown. So not sure what you mean by "and others"
Roadhog, Genji, Mei, Symmetra, Zarya none of them have cooldowns on their alternate fire.

Fan fire has a reload time that is quite long unless you use dash and it's what makes McCree the best 1v1 hero in the game and you can't expect to 1up the best duelist in the game from the range he is most effective at, just don't get close !!
And let's not forget that McCree is slow, has zero mobility, his primary fire is slow, his reload is slow and both of his abilities have some of the highest cooldown timer in the game.

Because otherwise you would be stuck with a character who shoots slowly and have a stun. That wouldn't make for a great character at all.

Like ant said, don't get too close to him. It's not like his alt fire is gonna reach you from far away.

That feeling when you join a match in progress, late, and your 1-2 kills has you at gold, and you end the match (with a loss) after a few minutes with 4 golds. lol
 
Quick question, sorry if it has been asked before....

Is there a site that has a list of all the character's moves and the corresponding PS4 controls for it? Like when you push the right d-pad and it brings up whoever you're currently playing moves list? I'd like to pick a few and jot them down on paper so I can just have them ready...it also helps me to memorize them.

Actually I'd like to see Lucio's ability removed from ammo consumption. It's a timed ability not an alt fire. When I'm fighting and get hooked, I need to use the ability right away. Watching my guy reload because my clip is empty is death in that situation.

I'm sure that's out there somewhere, but you could also just go into training mode. Then you'd have unlimited time on the character select screen to look at that info.
 
Many of the maps choke points' are interiors which means you have no choice but to get close to Mei.

She's just un-fun to fight and she really does not need the healing power. They should either make the healing less powerful or make the ice block shorter.
I never use it as a healing power really, I mean she's dead if something even breathes in her direction. I've only used it as a way to cheat death for a few moments longer, hopefully enough that I can make it to safety or wait out reinforcements.

I find her ice wall to be much more of an aggravation to shut down advances by just flat out blocking off a corridor or sight line.

it's not shit, it's just evil. If you win too many it feels like it puts you against killers. It's crazy how good it is at keeping you near a 50% win rate.

we're obviously only a week in and things are still coming together. Day 1 was all over the place with experienced beta players vs first timers. But even now if I join friends who haven't played very much, the teams we face are way easier than who I'm normally up against. Just things like how quick they are to disengage and get healed up, or positioning of ultimates (Reapers learn really fast they should always drop down from above).
 
I'm so fucking salty right now. I just had to escort the payload against 6 TORBORNS!!!! WHAT THE FUCK!!!
Had a team try this on Numbani. Worked reasonably well to keep us off the initial capture, until 3 of us switched to Pharah and started to coordinate calling out turret kills to facilitate pushes. Once we got that point, all the rockets kept the other team from setting up something solid, and it was one of the easiest payload pushes I've had.

All about switching your line-up to counter theirs!

I don't think Blizzard wants shit like that to happen.

If it's keeping you at 50% winrate just by randomly putting you against organized players who are way better than you, then that's not the system being good at keeping me at 50%, theat's the system being bad at it

So you need to constantly flame the other team to do well? Well alright then.

we are stuck against this troll premade. now they have 6 zenyattas. I mean, do these wins even count :(

He will get nerfed eventually. I still think removing the instant reload from the roll is the way to go. That's what makes him able to shred tanks in two heartbeats.

You are the exact reason I play on PS4. That attitude is the opposite of fun and I can't imagine how important wins are to you that you consider that level of hostility 'helpful'.

He doesn't need a nerf. None of the heroes do. What needs to happen is stop allowing duplicate heroes. It makes zero sense in context, and it hurts the game, IMO.

On top of that, his left click is already amazingly good too. If he can land headshots he'll shred through your health at midrange too.

he should get a nerf if only because every character has a counter except mccree, who is the counter for several of them. they have to be careful about it otherwise tracers and genjis will run rampant, but it needs to happen.

Better damage dealers but no climbing or warping. They gotta slog their ass around at default speed. The only thing I hate is their high noon. It's too fast how it can insta kill a bunch of people. The tire, mech, dragon ults, It seems like you have more time to avoid those and they're physical objects you can see. Hearing "It's high noon" gives you like 2 seconds reaction time before you will be instantly dead from any distance away within LOS.

And that's ok because he's meant to be a close range destroyer. Nerfing him by introducing a cooldown on his right click (which is nigh on useless at medium/long range)/reducing effectiveness of his flashbang (which stuns enemies for like 0.5 seconds, meaning that the window for popping FTH after flashbang is a fraction of a second long, otherwise your opponent will recover and ruin the combo) would render him pretty much useless

I agree with that. Either remove the cooldown or remove the ammo usage.

Still hearing new combination of banter between characters. Last night on kings row attack, my usual junk and a tracer. I had heard the bomb one they do together but yesterday I got one where junk says tracers "cheers mate, the cavalry's here" and tracer annoyed and a little sad says "that's my line".

This is not true at all. Avoiding McCree's ult is almost as easy as avoiding D.Va's
 
Can you get banned for excessive trash talking, something new every 5-10 seconds per match?

definitely feel it helps getting into opponents heads.

Sounds like an awful thing to do. Sounds like part of the reason lots of people just mute everyone right off the bat.

im pretty torn on a number of potential changes tbh

needs to be handled with large sample size testing, not people complaining on forums citing individual or even a handful of case examples

for example on paper switching to 1 hero type per team seems logical, but i can only imagine the pub bitching that will ensue.

"dude let me play genji your genji game is trash" (feel like even myself would succumb to this type of behavior on occasion, albeit more politely)

also with mccree, he's supposed to win nearly every 1 on 1 engagement, i dont understand why people are failing to see this, hes anti flank

to me, the game is balanced nearly perfectly at this juncture

if any type of hero cap needs to be implemented i say its 3 of the same hero as cap, not 2, and certainly not 1

Yeah the banter between characters is pretty awesome. Genji and Hanzo shittalking each other is another of my favorites.

It's what defines McCree as a character - he is good at 1v1 against anyone in the game. He has super low mobility and a decent gun, but if he gets close to you or catches you off guard alone, you will die.
