Fuck man I hear you, in the last 6 months I've dropped an obscene amount on gaming.

I have three games in my backlog with 88+ meta all launched in 2017, this is freaking ridiculous! I love it, but not could I do with a lottery win or something so I could have the time to actually play them 😂

Never played a Persona/SMT game before, but I generally love JRPGs, so I'm looking forward to this.

Im happy this game is reviewing so well, I know lots of GAFfers have been waiting a long time for this one, seems like it was more than worth the wait.

Good to see Makoto show up. Based on designs alone, I was aiming for a yusuke, makoto and Ann setup. You can swap party members out if I remember correctly which should allow a good variety of team combinations.

I'm like 75% sure you can make all combination work for the hardest available content in P5, thus making them "viable". But the setup I described def felt like it was the most efficient and flexible for buff rotations and healing as well as downing within a Hassou Tobi setup.

That's great to know, she has my favorite design of the main party, along with Ryuji. If MC, Ryuji and Makoto make for a good team, and I enjoy their social links, I'll be very happy.

Gonna bet it ends at 93; unless the majority of upcoming reviews rate it higher, it's going to take quite a bit to offset EDGE and Digital Trend's scores once they're put into the MC.

This game really should have been released in all territories last year. But, alas...

If you have the time, playing through P3/P3P and P4/P4G is recommended just because they're amazing games.

But no, they're not required to play P5.

If I learned anything from Zelda, NieR, and Horizon, it's ALWAYS subtract 1 from your MC prediction. There's always a straggler with a bad review.

Ryuji is also very useful, but I liked to switch between him and Yusuke because Yusuke could be a tank too in some situations.

This is the first Persona game where I actually switched between the whole cast all the time. All of them are pretty good.

All of the persona know have brief bios written up about them, explaining who or what it's based on. As far as I know, they aren't talked about in the game, but Makoto's is so far removed from the design that it cracks me the hell up.

And honestly, the whole build up of the reveal, and then going to check in the menu is so jarring, that I think you should experience it for yourself in the game.

Or, by the time I'll have replied someone will have already told you.

You'll be fine with any character you want to use as long as you create persona to compliment them and customize the other chars to fit your needs.

My original prediction was 95, so it being 94 was expected.

I don't see it getting nearly bad enough stragglers to bring it from an unweighted 94.5 to a 92... (But now you've made me doubt that, so good job.)

I wonder how many people are going to knock this game for having bleh dungeon design just like Persona 4.

I know I was really hoping for something that didn't have such crappy dungeons, but from what I hear from people who played the JP version it isn't THAT much better.

Shit one thing I need to know. In P3/4 you could fail to max out the S-Links. Once past a certain date, you were cutoff from progressing them. Confidants work the same I assume?

I suggest for everyone to spread the games about over the year.

We're never gonna get that many good games in a condensed period,so I am gonna try to play those games apart from each other.

Don't wanna rush or do injustice to any of these games!

mmm from i remember certain slink only goes max near the ending, so if you fucked up the progress in the middle, yeah you cant max it out
