I got my splitter yesterday and successfully recorded some PS4 footage using the Elgato. Works great.
Awesome! Glad to hear it is working well. I was a little wary about getting one but thought why not since I at least could still use it with my PS3.

Yea I was disappointed with this, I dont use FB at all and thought I would be able to just send video to friends, Im sure Sony will do this in the future but for now it looks like I have to create a FB account.
Anyone know if I can create something really vanilla on FB, dont want to share anything, I basically want to create it just to share ps4 videos.

Is anybody else experiencing this? Here's my issue.
Pressing the share button and uploading video is supposed to save the last 15 minutes of game play. But for me it uploads a random clip from hours ago. I do something awesome in BF4, want to share it, but the clip is of me idle on the main menu for 15 minutes.

How did you get yours to work? Everytime I hook my Elgato to the splitter the picture starts flickering on the program. I purchased two new hi speed HDMI's to see if that was the problem and its still happening. Know any fix?I'm using a Mac.

Do you guys think its the Elgato program itself making the picture flicker? Should I redownload it? Not sure what to do at this point. I hoped to be recording by the past weekend.

I've noticed some pretty impressive screenshots from the share button. Is this from uploading to Facebook? The images I share on twitter aren't very high quality
I'm so confused. I pressed the Share button during Assassin's Creed to capture some gameplay that I did, but when I quit the game to share it, it was gameplay from like 30-40 minutes ago.
The weirdest part is that the preview picture is from the gameplay that I wanted to upload.

I am having this problem too, It's happened to me now several times. Everytime I try to save some nice kills I get multiplayer I get some old game play and not the past 15 minutes.

This video managed to do something that none others have so far, it made me seriously interested in this game. It looks really, really good.
The videosharing feature is brilliant. I have done loads of capturing on pc, but enabling this for consoles also is just great.

Killzone looks slightly more impressive than Crysis 3 to me; although perhaps the superior art direction helps. I did not expect the game to look this good in screenshots. 9 more days... 9 more days.
Assassin's Creed also looks really, really good. I might have to pick it up. How is the framerate? Does it chug like the PS3 games?

I wish there was a way to capture higher quality images; how are some of you getting such nice looking shots? I created a dummy FB account and uploaded these images, but the compression is depressing. Esp. on the first image, which on my tv looks simply mind blowing due to the superb lighting and clarity.

Thanks, I am glad you like it! Storms don't happen a lot but when they do it can get intense. I was in battle trying to overtake a fort yesterday when a storm hit and suddenly.....three water spouts! One seemed larger than the other two. Between the damage from the fort cannons and the spout damage, my ship didn't last very long.

You seem to use an Elgato Game Capture HD, right? Grabbing-Cards like those do not work with PS4... yet. The video-signal of PS4 is HDCP-encrypted. And this prevents recordings via HDMI. Shu promised a future patch that will fix the problem.
Until now you can only use the share-button or try your luck with those HDCP-strippers.

I remember them saying in the past that it wouldn't be removed until after launch. I'm also going by this image in the OP that details that too. I'm just waiting on a date for when that update will happen now.

I just stood around in that room with my wide open for several minutes - I find it to be the most graphically impressive portion of the game. It so damn clean and the FB uploads just kills it; fix this shit Sony.
Tried taking a shot with my phone but just as terrible:

ACIV runs incredibly smooth. In my 6-8 hours of playtime, I haven't noticed it drop once. I'm very impressed with the game overall.
I've had two instances of framerate slowdown in Killzone, but they were very brief, and I haven't had it happen again since. Fantastic game so far. As a diehard Killzone fan, I'm surprised at how different it feels from the other entries. But surprised in a good way, I think?

yeah, it's still compressed, but i'd use twitter for the uploads and do the orig trick to the url. facebook ones aren't so hot from what i've seen.

I saved it from Facebook to my work computer. Then opened it in paint and saved as a png file, and then uploaded to postimage.
Well you didn't save the full res file. Facebook should provide full 1080p images, albeit compressed.
