IMO sony fumbled the ball, and the overall response seems to be lukewarm at best case.
The actual reveal was....like low effort sony who just assumes their customers will buy whatever they want to put out (apple mentality).
The fact that they announced a USD $700 console...realistically $780 console, with little flair, last gen games being shown, and a little bit of "trust me bro" thrown in there made me go from excited to ehhhhhh pass.
It's not a money thing for me. I have money. I have lots of money. But I chose as a consumer what I want to spend my hard earned money on. Sony taxing the hell out of it and expecting everyone to eat it up? I don't think it will go as planned this time.
Maybe they will have a more proper showing at the upcoming SoP...but as of now my pro plans are on hold.
