Smartest thing he has done in the last year.

I disagree with Wickard 100%, but it's presently the law of the land, meaning that any requirement of "affecting interstate commerce" is basically unnecessary a formality.

And those have to be fulfilled.

Plus the reasoning on why the sales of foetus organs would affect the greater market would be A Glorious Thing.

The encouraging thing for Hillary if the other polls in the next few days come out in her favor is that her normal mean in the polls seems to be on the higher end, and that it only came down because of the negative news stories. Once those news stories get out of the cycle, she comes back up. The other good news is that she has a competent team behind her and they successfully fended off one major hiccup in her campaign. Now her team is primed for the rest of the primaries and the general.

Figured it would be this week.

Which could actually be the ticket this all ends with, no? Or is that too geographically focused in FL?

Sure, but florida is totes important and bush is old blood surrounded by old farts, so he'd do well to get the only young bastard out of the lot as veep.

Depends on how the next few months go but right now I think there has to be one non-politician on the ticket to get keep the populists happy.

What they gon do, vote Hillary? Sit at home and let the gay immigrant minority hordes take over? Nah.

Walker's really out? Hahahahahahaha i outlasted somebody
A recent example was when I made a really long post recently against people using the Stephen Fry "lol ur offended" image macro as the entire basis of their argument
I am going to use this as an excuse to share one of my all time favorite neogaf posts

Talk about a fucking flame out. It wasn't even a spectacular flame out. It was a fizzle... that was pissed on by Trump after the fire was left in the rain and the wood pile smoldered for a few days.

Bye, Derpshit.

Vote is not locked in until Oct 2nd but I never guessed Walker would go down before the lock in.

I won't hold their Walker choice against them since it is not the 2nd.

I believe PD wagered a 3 month ban for himself.

so people who gave a bet on walker, they lose right? or are they allowed to switch their bet?

switch. The votes are not locked in till October 2nd.

It's a formality that is effectively fulfilled by default, rendering it practically unnecessary. I cited Wickard to show how empty a requirement of affecting interstate commerce is, but PP's tissue sales affect interstate commerce (as that phrase is currently understood in the law) for any number of other reasons: the tissues may travel interstate; at a minimum they will travel on the roads and highways that enable interstate commerce as a consequence of the sale; the patients may travel interstate to arrive at the Planned Parenthood clinic; the medical tools and supplies used in aborting the child and preserving its body parts probably traveled in interstate commerce.

The reason why walker has to drop out while Gilmore doesn't is that walker has a political future. Every new poll is embarrassing to him and damages that future. Every new gaffe makes him look even dumber. He doesn't want to Rick perry himself.

So for the establishment GOP, they really have just Rubio, Bush and Kasich left now? Sure, maybe Christie if you want to be exact, but he has zero traction anywhere.

Aint that some bullshit. Jindal's campaign will shut down 12:01 am october 3rd and then i'll have to have ted cruz smiling in all my posts for the next 5 months

Things will change in the next six months but right now the people backing Trump and Carson are enraged about immigrants taking their country. Rubio / Bush would support the current Senate bill only illegals would get some kind of status that isn't full citizenship. That's not going to work for people like that. They're going to need some kind of hardliner on immigration or risk a 3rd party candidate that gets enough votes to make HRC pres.

What future? He gained no traction because there's piles of rocks out in the desert with more personality. He Perry's himself the second he opened his mouth and revealed his dullness. Plus he's got a derp face and we'll never elect a derp face.

Pretty much.

If we do see a Trump vs antiTrump scenario where the two sides are in opposition on immigration (hardliner vs consensus-seeker), neither side's supporters are going to be satisfied with the other side's candidate as nominee. 2% stays home, and the race is effectively over. Trump would do abysmally among minorities in a general election. Meanwhile, both Bush & Rubio are hopelessly tainted with a very large segment of the GOP base, Bush for his "Act of Love" statement and Rubio for his "Gang of 8" activities.

With Walker gone. Kasich stock goes up. If you picked Bush or Rubio your stock really went up. If you picked Trump I guess your stock is still good.

Walker has a future? Where? Senator? I hope the people of Wisconsin have smartened up that douche bag.

Wisconsin has no term limits for Governor for one thing.

Legitimately laughed out loud at this.

Perhaps the most overhyped "genuine threat" flames out in a loser's fashion. Now only Rubio remains.
And Rubio's scoring what, 8% in primary polls?

I think he gets his support from Republicans who realize their party has to moderate in some fashion (particularly on immigration issues) in order to get anywhere near the White House without the Democrats bungling things up, but hardly anyone else.

I was totally ready to write up an in-depth analysis of which votes for Walker would go to which candidates, but then I remembered there weren't any.
