Well, the first polling place we went to this morning had a small gaggle of mid-twenties white guys in red shirts clustered together to observe the polling place. We didn't stop there because the line was really long.

So we headed over to the Disability Rights place that was also serving as a polling location and voted there. No observers, but one likely Trump voter who blew a gasket after finding out that you have to vote in the county you are registered for. He declared that to be "BS!!" and the poor poll worker just asked "... why?" He stormed out before we could hear about how county lines are rigging the election or whatever magic he could have come up with.

+1 for Hillary in Austin.
And I guarantee that guy thinks that a brown person voting in a certain location despite accidentally messing up a number in their zip code is proof of voter fraud.

Idaho is going to be weirder than normal this time for sure. We voted for Cruz and Bernie, and I get the sense that most people here don't like either nominee. I don't personally know any Trump voters, even though my family and their entire friend circle are Republicans, all the signs I see around town are for Gary Johnson and McMuffin. Obama got 36% in 2008 and 32% in 2012. I imagine Hillary could do a little better, and I do think that McMullin and Johnson will actually damage Trump here a bit.

All that said, the state was 72% for Bernie, and there are a fuckton of jilted salty crybabies here that haven't gotten over it. She doesn't win, but it'll be an oddball year without a doubt.
Anecdotal, but most of my religious friends/family here in Idaho loathe Trump and pull the "omg both are so terrible". I told one of them about McMuffin and he got pretty excited. The Democrats I know here have come home, thankfully.

It depends on what polls you count. Trump has polled >10% in some South Carolina polls, albeit ones I wouldn't consider having the best methods. Maryland is the same situation: a 2-3% increase is a conservative estimate.

I don't think I have seen many polls showing trump leading by more than 10 points in South Carolina in this election. I have mostly seen polls in the 5 to 10 percent range and a few between 0% and 4%. It looks likely hilary will win Maryland by somewhere between 30% and 35% at this point which will probably make it like 1%-4% points more democratic than 08 and 12 depending on how much she wins this election by. If she wins this election by over 10 points it's likely Maryland won't be much more democratic than either 08 and 12.

he is a moderate +is both pro-choice and supports marriage equality

he is more liberal than Southern Democrats

It only takes the R in the Governor's mansion before the voter ID laws start rolling in and the entire state spirals out of control. It doesn't really matter what that R believes. He falls in line. They all do.

The third parties debate (organized by the Free & Equal Elections Foundation) is today in Boulder, Colorado.

Ed Asner (Actor: The Mary Tyler Moore Show, Elf, Up) will moderate.

Clinton and Trump will not be there (contractually blocked, iirc). Jill Stein, Gary Johnson, and Evan McMullin will also not be in attendance: Johnson just wanted to send in a video statement and F&EEF said no; Stein and McMullin said they wouldn't attend if Johnson didn't. The three candidates in attendance:

Darrell Castle (Constitution Party)
Gloria La Riva, (Party for Socialism and Liberation)
Rocky De La Fuente (Reform Party, American Delta Party)

From a gmail account to a gmail account. Did they hack gmail?

That Obama email is a perfect encapsulation of how the drip drip looks worse than it is. Just because that is true doesn't mean:

1) Obama knew that it was a non-state address
2) that he knew it was a private server in her basement vs buying from a provider. We have @mycompany.com email address from google

Wait who doesnt think silicon valley is progressive? I live/work here too. Its a progressive bastion minus a few people like Thiel

Its "progressive"

but the people that run the place are deeply economically fearful of regulation, hate government intervention and pro-trust. They're libertarian's who don't mind government money, as long as they get to decide how to spend it

From a gmail account to a gmail account. Did they hack gmail?

even a tech forum is bad.

no they got him to enter his information into a phishing email

TFA should really be mandated for all government emails, and for higher ranking people, on their personal accounts they use to discuss business, as well.

Would this have prevented him from giving his info up? I figure a nation state can still get around that if they have the password and information

No two knowledgeable about hacking techniques.

But I always laugh when people talk about "hacks" that always just turn out to be someone giving a password and someone logining in.

and you got Democrats in West Virginia who are more Conservative

Vermont in itself is like its own country with it's own brand of moderates and liberals.

he is a moderate +is both pro-choice and supports marriage equality

he is more liberal than Southern Democrats

He's not more liberal than John Lewis, Jim Clyburn, Lacy Clay, Hank Johnson, Kathy Castor, Ted Deutch, Frederica Wilson and most of the southern dem caucus

Hell, he's not likely as liberal as Bill Nelson even

Just like MA, the VT House and Senate are utterly dominated by Democrats and liberals. There's only so much he could get away with even if he wanted to start toeing the national party's line.

So, I don't want to go off topic here in the thread, but it's the only place I've really posted in and so figured I'd post here.

I need some legal advice, from any willing legal expert here at gaf.

Long story short, me and my wife(weren't married at the time) leased a car from a dealership about two years ago. Payments and rent just got too high, couldn't afford it, got repo'd half a year into the lease agreement.

So we got served recently, as we owe the difference between what we paid and what they were able to sell the car for, which is upwards of around 6K.

When this lease was signed I was at work, the car was leased to me with her being the undersigner, but they allowed her to sign my name on the contract. She was not my wife, had no spousal privilege to do so and was not a POA for me.

Does that fact make the whole contract void? And if so, could I actually counter sue them for allowing a vehicle to be leased to me without me actually signing the contract?

Again, way way off topic but I can't post threads as I don't have the privilege yet and I would really appreciate any advice or guidance on any legal recourse I have here.
Try pm-ing Angry Grimace (don't know how much he can actually help though). I thought we had a Lawyer GAF thread somewhere?

This is actually kind of a relief. I was kind of worried that the alt righters on /r/the_donald and /pol/ made up a significant chunk of the milennial vote.

I guess I technically qualify as a milennial (26) and most of my friends are voting Clinton but I do know one person who will probably vote Trump because he hates Hillary and thinks Trump is "hilarious," which is infuriating to me.

Its mostly due to the fact that millennials are much more diverse. White millennials went to romney and vote like their parents more than as a "millennial vote" (trump is hurting that as they mirror the white college educated whites rather than blue collar)

Georgia early vote numbers so far:

Total In Person votes (excluding yesterday): 490,412
Total In-person votes (including yesterday): 604,310

Total ballots cast so far, which includes mailed ballots: 704,872

My favorite stat from Georgia: Early voting in Cobb county tripled compared to 2012
