Comey is not a registered republican currently. He doesn't like the party much and most likely trump to.

Lets be real... like 80% of people who are not registered vote party line one way or the other every election.

They only stay independent so they can talk about how independent they are.

The more I read that space article the more annoyed I get that Trump even made it this far. His answers are 2 fucking sentences.

The Future 45 PAC ads are ridiculous.

WHO IS THIS TRYING TO APPEAL TO

Edit: Oh wow, the song was originally done at the end of last year. No wonder I felt like this wasn't the first song made against Hillary.

This one has been playing all day in Colorado...

And I saw this one tonight on our NBC affiliate during the Broncos game (guessing a national spot)

Ruined? I disagree, if anything she's made a massive move for herself. Look how much she accomplished with Donald Trump

I know! She's going to get him the 42% of the vote that an inanimate carbon rod could get as long as it had an (R) next to its name.

What a mover and shaker she is!

Man this broke me.

The stress of this election has been crushing. So much worse than any previous campaign I can remember.

When that girl started crying because she was afraid that Trump was going to deport her family, I lost it.

I'm so ready move *forward* and stop feeling this unending dread every day.

Yup... A tear here or there before, and then that scene, and I broke into floods. :'(

Yep, that's guaranteed to get nothing accomplished and a gop president in 2020.

We have now endured 6 years of congressional gridlock and general fuckery. Meanwhile, Obama's approval ratings are excellent and we are about to have 12 uninterrupted years of a Democratic White House. Also, the severe structural crisis that Republicans are facing at a national level isn't going away anytime soon. Barring the emergence of some miraculous, messianic figure between now and 2020, the GOP is fucked in presidential elections for the foreseeable future.

I'm watching local news here in Philly and just thought you'd all appreciate the knowledge that they're reporting the SEPTA strike will be over by the morning. Agreement is done, just working on the wording.

They'll just go back to worrying about jackass elector in Washington. It's always something.

I've said this before and I'll say it again, Murphy was a good candidate when it was an open seat with Trump at the top of the ticket.

Lots of good news today!

I wasn't exactly worried about PA, but removing every possible complication is nice.

If texas turns blue in 2020 would we be looking at a perpetual democratic white house hold? Or are other states trending red to balance that out?

Here's a hot take:

We know that the majority of elected Republicans are, at least privately, do not like the direction their party is taking, but are too afraid to come out and say it.

So Hillary is not only fighting the Democrats' fight against Donald; she's also fighting the Republicans' fight for them.

Something that I can guarantee you that the moderate GOP politicians are hoping for: Overturning Citizens United.

Remember how before Citizens United, many GOP people pushed for clean energy bills? That's not a coincidence.

Once Citizens United is overturned, then the biggest lobbying groups lose a shit load of influence because they can no longer threaten politicians with "Oh you aren't sucking up to me? Well I'll just put millions of dollars into helping your opponent."

Fantastic news.

I don't see it blue in 2020 if it doesn't go blue this year.

Unless the GOP nominates someone that the Latino community hates as much as Trump.

....it will probably be a battleground state for a decade or so. I doubt it will go solid blue.

Citizens United is probably the biggest priority. Though I would argue that dealing with Gerrymandering would probably have more impact. I hope the court takes it up.

Midwest is trending red but it won't be enough to make up for the democrats slowly starting to turn red states in the southwest or southeast blue. I don't think the dems win texas in 2020 but they will probably lose the state by single digit margins in that year.

People keep saying MI, WI, and PA are trending red, but there doesn't seem to be much sign of that at the moment. Only thing that really seems to be moving away from the Democrats is IO and OH, and in exchange we've locked down VA and CO, made strong inroads with NC, GA, and AZ.

A purple Texas supersedes all of that in importance, especially because the population keeps on growing there. Current projections have it gaining 3 electoral votes in 2020.

I don't know. Minnesota, Michigan, Ohio, Wisconsin, and possibly Pennsylvania flipping would be pretty devastating.

I could see a situation where the Midwest goes GOP a cycle or two before Texas goes blue , leading to a few rough years in the electoral college.

if texas goes blue, then that means arizona and nevada would be solid blue too. georgia, north carolina, and florida might be on lock at that point to, in which case, the dem floor is probably 322 votes in the presidency, including most of the midwest states going red aside from minnesota.

Looks like this is the Anderson Cooper and Kellyanne Conway interview people were talking about. Damn

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mY8pydHIiJs

They really need to stop agreeing with whatever garbage falls out of surrogate mouths as if it was accepted fact just so they can make a point or move the conversation along.

Conway: "It's well known Hillary is a Super Liar and consumes fetuses to stay alive."
Anderson: "Mmhmm. But what about your candidate's tax records?"

Iowa will probably be red forever now, Ohio probably has one more cycle of being a swing state before it goes perma red...I always have faith in MN/WI/MI though. They just seem so unshakably blue. We'll see how Tuesday goes.

@jmartNYT: Talked to a smart NC R who thinks Hillary squeaks it out there.

But Dems nervous, coulda used another day of early voting today.

NC probably makes me nervous because of what the NC GOP did to early voting in the state.

Perpetual hold as Florida is also trending that way. CA,FL, and, TX can't be overcome if Democratic party holds them all.
