PA's outstanding precincts are coming out of blue counties for more than half of them remaining, and there's a big chunk of 50/50s in there too.

This is going to be a generational disaster.

I don't think we all fully appreciate how bad this will be going forward. Trump will get a lot of SCOTUS appointments. Health care and climate change is fucked. Income inequality is fucked.

Also a good chance of a major recession if things go their way...

Literally have friends with the means to move abroad thinking about it. One friend already told me he's looking in Singapore. And he isn't joking in the slightest.

I get that, but Trump has alienated a lot of people even within his own party. He ran and acted like an outsider, and we have elections for the House and Senate again in two years. I personally dislike any one political party controlling all three branches, but the Republican party as it is now isn't totally together.
You're being naive. Republicans always fall in line eventually. This will be the same.

Welp I'm curious to see how this handoff will look in a couple of months. Also just imagine the state of the unions .... the media dinners... well here's to a quick 4 years

I can't tell you that she's going to win, but we will survive this. The Earth isn't going to blow up tomorrow and the potential disasters to come can be mended. Obama did it once and we can do it again so long as we keep fighting.

Thank you for writing this. It honestly gives me a little bit of hope and something positive to take out of this whole thing.

I think Canada stands to benefit and the brain drain will be real. People will legit move to avoid this idiot. CAD will strengthen.

And those who voted for this idiot won't be any better off and they will never learn their lesson. Just look at Kansas. That's a preview. TRILLIONS IN DEBT, TAX CUTS FOR THE RICH, GUNS IN SCHOOLS, A BORDER WALL, OPPRESSED LGBT/MINORITIES/WOMEN

It's fucking sad.

Can someone check me on this? If she wins MI, and wins IA (lol) and NH (not looking good) and takes NV, she still wins.

This is so historic. This election is going to shape the nation more than every single election probably since lincoln.

Republicans will get rid of the filibuster, and have an unabated path to pass all the legislation they've always wanted. Say goodbye to Obamacare and many other welfare programs. Say hello to privatized social security and medicaid, and huge tax cuts to the rich.

Say goodbye to a liberal supreme court, or even a moderate supreme court if Kennedy or a liberal dies or steps down.

And that's assuming Trump is a generic republican, and not the peice of crap that he is.

You think a red House, Senate, and Judiciary will stop him? Seeing this turnout, you think they'll stand up to him?

Whatever he wants, he gets. Whatever the GOP wants they'll get.

I hope to God not. Trump already surrounds himself with yes men that inflate his ego - we don't need that. I really hope there's people there that stand up to him when his ideas are shit.

Yet he didn't run because he didn't want to. We gotta stop making what if and dream scenarios.

I'm fairly positive he knew the whole thing was set up for Hillary to win the nomination. The democrats' problem was that they anointed her the moment she decided to run like she was owed the position. Huge, huge mistake. Flawed candidate.

Take some solace in at least knowing that the socialist analysis was correct. The Democrats are going to need to revamp. We have to take this moment to show them the way.

The only thing that is keeping me going is needing to further leftist causes and to not the right and fascism take over.

But I'm scared.

And the thing is, someone like Trump wants your friend to leave.

Screw you guys who think Hillary is the problem here. The voting populace is the problem. What kind of policies did you want Hillary to put in place? You think the people who voted for Trump actually cares about policies?

But the meltdowns here are making it seem like life is over. The Executive Branch is just one branch of the government - the President isn't a freaking Emperor, people.

A republican president hands the republican controlled government a hardcore republican supreme court justice.

The rational man behind Trump, Pence, just loves conservative and religious social engineering.

It's very true, the president isn't god and that's a horrible misconception people have. But the damage that can be done by the supreme court is massive and can last for generations.

Does anybody else just feel numb?

Not angry. Not bitter. Not raging. Just numb.

I don't think the realization of what happened tonight has hit me yet.

I doubt Bernie would have won.

I think Biden would have.

I'm more confident Bernie would have won. He appealed to the rural white voter--something the democrats absolutely NEED to start doing again.

The Hillary blaming is a bit ridiculous given the damn type of candidate Trump is.

The real reason Hillary is losing is cause there's a shit ton of racist white people. More then anyone thought.

I don't know how I'm going to go to work tomorrow. I can't imagine how I'm going to get any sleep tonight. If/when she loses, I'm going to puke again and cry and basically fall apart. If she squeaks out a win, I'm going to run around the neighborhood naked.

Turnout for Clinton is as expected. Turnout for Clinton is at record highs among minorities

Trump is turning out insane numbers of rural whites

Thats

again he didn't run. And she beat Bernie by 3 million votes. Stop making what if scenario's this is where we are. Like it or not.

Politics is perception. It is all that matters. She was a bad candidate. It doesn't matter if she was a great person if she was a BAD CANDIDATE.

Who can? No one in the GOP could. Dems are mortally wounded after tonight. Look at the turnout, no Republican can stand up to him without losing.

It wasn't her policies. It was literally her.

My wife is looking into immigration lawyers right now as she has family all over Europe. We are already planning to move to California with my brother, fuck you Florida, for the short term. I cannot believe this is happening, we are in tears.
