That's a lot of

They should.

Arrest him and force him to pay that $20 fine. That should put a serious dent in the Clinton campaign war chest

R/politics going crazy about the Clinton IT guy immunity thing.

I think at this point, Freepers and Bernie fans on reddit are just about equal in the level of vile, loathsome shit they spew.

And that's fucking sad, because Freepers are hard to top.

So how likely is a brokered convention? I was at first satisfied with a Trump nomination, but a brokered convention sounds literally like a once in a lifetime opportunity. When are we realistically ever going to get the chance to experience one!?

Looking less likely with each Trump victory.

What Hillary supporters need to understand is that the various Bernie supporters that include millennials, independents, and some republicans are literally holding a fucking deadman switch in our hand with a bomb strapped to our chest and we are yelling at Hillary supporters that we are going to fuck shit up in the general if you don’t start listening to us.

Simultaneously the greatest and terrifying thing I've ever read.

lmao

Rubio looking straight shook during these interviews, poor guy.

His anxiety issues is evident here

Yeah, I agree. This campaign should have been about him getting some experience and building up a national political profile for a 2020 or 2024 run. Instead, he got cast into the role of savior of the party against a man whose very existence threatens to destroy it, and he's not even that strong a candidate to begin with because he hasn't done shit. Fuck Rubio the politician, but Rubio the man I honestly feel for. Dude has no career after this and is going to be selling insurance or something.

I really would love to have one tbh. As much as I want trump to happen, it's truly a once in a lifetime chance and we'd get a bomb ass documentary on it called the Party Decides.

What about his Senate seat? Tell me he wasn't dumb enough to run for President without a fallback plan in case he lost.

The revolving door of politics where the GOP always has cushy jobs in the corporations they've been propping up while they were in office.

The prevailing rumor is he hates the Senate and doesn't want to go back after the Presidential run.

I laugh at the GOP comparisons between Rubio and Obama. There's lightyears of difference between the two. Obama was a smooth operator. Rubio explodes into a mess of sweat and tears and defaults to his resting bitch face at the slightest hint of moderately challenging questions.

Can you imagine Hillary supporters actively wishing and praying to whatever gods they believe in that another liberal politician would be arrested on trumped up charges so that Hillary could win a primary?

It's disgusting. I'm kind of glad some of these people don't consider themselves Democrats.

Don't get me wrong, it still seems unlikely to me that any major indictments come from this, but is this not a fairly large step up in the investigation? You don't really grant immunity to someone unless you are expecting good info right?

He's not running for reelection. He'll try to run for governor but the Florida GOP has a deep bench, many of whom have waited their turn for years, and he's not likely to persuade any of them to clear the way for his own ambitions.

hes not running again, he wants the fuck out. There was an article quoting and old friend of his saying he hates the senate more than anything. He'll probably run for Governor after Rick Scott is finished in 2018

and Atwater/Bondi are just going to bow down and let the sweet prince take the throne? lol

Yes but it's important to also remember this is the guy that previously plead the fifth.

The only bill he got passed in Congress was one congratulating the Miami Heat on winning the NBA Finals, then he crashed and burned on the national stage and next he'll run for governor? What a mess.

Bernie Sanders on Phish: 'One of the Great Bands in This Country'

Socialism has gone too far.
Clinton 2016, hilldawg will make jam bands illegal again.

I was going for Bernie earlier but now it's Hillary all the way. Jam bands are the worst.

Sounds like they're just trying to dot all their i's and cross all their t's with this.

My father is a DoD researcher (has top secret clearance), he and everyone he works with tells me had they done what Hillary did they'd have been fired at a minimum, and more than likely charged given how relentlessly "leaks" have been prosecuted (see Thomas Drake). At the bare minimum, she's getting an insane amount of "benefit of the doubt". I don't think it's unreasonable someone is going to get in trouble for the act of having classified material in un-secure location. The rest about the emails containing super secret deals is most likely bullshit, the Clinton's are just over-protective of their privacy; if they weren't in public life that'd more than understandable.

Putnam has already basically started fundraising for 2018. He is going all in. I'm not sure if that makes Bondi/Atwater jumping in more or less likely.

Regardless, I think little marco would struggle to beat any of them in a primary after the destruction he's received from Trump.

No offense, but your dad is a pretty small fish. If a WalMart retail employee shows up an hour late to work, the guy is fired. If WalMart's CFO shows up an hour late, his secretary takes his coat and gives him his messages.

i can actually see him dropping out just before March 15th if pretty much every poll shows his losing by digits. He'll use it as an excuse to get the GOP to rally behind someone else (Cruz)

I agree, but that doesn't mean they can have an overt double standard. The Gen. Petreaus scandal also involved leaked sensitive material (granted in a very deplorable manner). But that was what he was officially in trouble over, and despite his insane career of public service, he was thrown under the bus. Multiple instances of X law getting broken can't end with just a "oops", something have to happen, even if it's symbolic when it's all said and done.

Sad but true. The Washington Post article on this said that Patreus' case is hanging over this. Basically, the law enforcement officers quoted in the article said Patreus' case was far more serious and yet he got off so lightly that it is unlikely that anything will come this.

He's only 45. Losing FL is really a career killer?

Can he still run for his senate seat again? (if not he's done)

I don't think he got off lightly, the very act of having a trial tainted his entire career, and barred him from ever advancing it again. If I'm not mistaken he's been relegated to teaching.

My main take away from the article was that. Clinton actually got very lucky that this happened right after Patreus.

This is a lot of it. As Clinton has pointed out, this is actually something that was standard practice for Colin Powell and Condi Rice. Maybe farther back than that, but email is a relatively new thing. They changed the regulations when Kerry came in, but prior to that it was considered okay. It probably shouldn't have been, but the rules being dumb and shortsighted doesn't make them not the rules.
