He's only 45. Losing FL is really a career killer?

It's not just losing that's so damning. He is a one term US Senator who has NO legislation to his name and a terrible attendance record. If he loses this election, he will have burned most Jeb! world contacts in FL and have painted himself as a political lightweight.

He could absolutely run for Gov in 2018, but this election will be a pretty bad mark on his transcript.

Right, but classified material in a non-secure location (regardless of when it become classified) is still the responsibility of the person who put it there.

Which is why the best you can get out of the Clinton email thing is that she showed poor judgement.

The sad part is the FBI could end their investigation tomorrow, conclude no laws were broken and people would still attack on it. It makes no difference.

Meanwhile Trump gets mostly a pass on something he actually is going to trial for.

Also he has openly admitted hating being a senator, good luck getting people to re-up your contract that way.

Hmm, question I'll ask Romney tomorrow if I get the chance and Romney doesn't address this:

Governor Romney, in 2012, you accepted Donald Trump's endorsement for president even though Trump was, at the time, one of the most prominent pushers of the idea that Barack Obama was born outside of the United States and was therefore ineligible to president. Why did you accept Donald Trump's endorsement in 2012?

Yeah if all I heard about the guy was that he got nothing accomplished and he hates his job, the last thing I'd want to do is elect him to be the governor of my state.

But y'all elected Rick Scott twice so uhh

Can he still run for his senate seat again? (if not he's done)

I don't think he got off lightly, the very act of having a trial tainted his entire career, and barred him from ever advancing it again. If I'm not mistaken he's been relegated to teaching.

According to the source in the Washington Post article, the FBI was irritated that he only got a misdemeanor because they had him on so much more. Certainly, his reputation was partially tarnished, but he got off lightly compared to his charges.

According to Game Change 2012 he didn't just accept the endorsement, he begged for it and celebrated it.

I'm not a lawyer but normally breaking a law, even if it's inadvertent in nature, results in some form of a consequence (Murder vs. Involuntary Man-slaughter) <-- graphic anecdote isn't intentional, I just can't think of anything atm lol

i haven't met a single person who actually (admits to) liking him, even people who admit to voting for him own up to the fact that they just voted for the "R"

then again my hatred for rick scott is both political and very personal, so maybe people wisely pick up on that hehe

Except, again, the law wasn't broken. This isn't my opinion, it's the opinion of the Justice Department.

Rubio has cancelled his appearance here in Louisiana this week. Pretty telling.
He's going to be spending most of his time in Florida, and some in Michigan. He's on record saying he expects to win the state, and that WTA states are what really matter. If he fails to win anything between March 8th and 15th I don't see how he can last, outside of a weird attempt to force a brokered convention.

This month is going to be a time of reflection for Cruz and Rubio. This was supposed to be their moment. Cruz planned to sweep the south and Texas, making him the defacto conservative opponent to whoever the establishment candidate was by this time. Rubio planned on being that establishment candidate, and rolling out Romney's endorsement ahead of Michigan and Idaho to set up for a big Florida battle (perhaps against Jeb). Nothing they planned came true due to Donald Trump.

But Cruz is still breathing, still has money, and can win some upcoming states. Meanwhile Rubio looks finished.

As Clinton has pointed out, this is actually something that was standard practice for Colin Powell and Condi Rice.

Yup. In fact, classified information was found within Powell's personal email account, and within the personal email accounts of Rice's aides as well.

If Hillary is prosecuted, then they too should be held to that standard as well.

(But we won't hear a peep on that ever happening, will we?)

He'll win Puerto Rico and maybe Hawaii? I have no idea what Hawaii Republicans are like.

Ahh thanks. I hope he hits them with this attack during the debate again. Also how funny would it be if Trump scheduled a press conference for the same time Mitt Romney was supposed to speak so Mitt doesn't get any coverage?

Or he could show up at Mitt's speech

I think it's cute how Rmoney thinks he's somehow relevant to anything.

Two time loser. Big loser. Yuge loser. Couldn't beat Obama.

@realDonaldTrump 2 hours ago

Looks like two-time failed candidate Mitt Romney is going to be telling Republicans how to get elected. Not a good messenger!

How are we supposed to know whether or not the orange hue is from that nude walk through the desert you vowed to undertake?

What moment do you think made punished Trump come to? I'm guessing it was when Obama snatched his soul at the white house dinner.

He made billions, he raised his children, had he displeasd the Lord, that feckless thug.

Sold all my Clinton Yes & Bernie No for a decent profit. Can't deal with that market anymore. This whole indictment speculation takes all the joy out of it.

I wish I had more liquid cash to play around with. There probably won't be another good sell opportunity for Trump until he wins Florida.

If he takes Ohio too he might hit 90 that night.

2) Incumbency: This is a binary term that is turned on because one of the parties has held the presidency for 8+ years at the time of the election. This goes against the Democrats hard, because historically the third term is hard to win. In the post-WWII era the Republicans lost in 1960, Democrats lost in 1968, Republicans lost in 1976, Republicans won in 1988 (then lost in 1992), Democrats lost in 2000, and Republicans lost 2008. George HW Bush in 1988 is the only one of six tries that a party held for a third consecutive term.

I'm sorry, but can I just say how much I hate this stupid pseudo-stats shit?

n=6 is not that meaningful. Especially when the circumstances are so fucking weird for many of them. Two elections (1976 and 2008) were following Watergate and the Iraq War+economic collapse. In one of the losses (2000), the third term person won the popular vote. In 1960, Richard Nixon was going against a great candidate and politician and barely lost. 1968 involved the Democratic candidate trying to win while Vietnam was going on.

This is like the "The Party Decides!" shit that was based on like seven nominations.

Yeah, I'm putting in a big bet on Florida and probably holding the rest of the cash to maybe put in a big bet on the general election once the primaries get resolved.

Shit, I did promise that. Why don't ya'll only let me bet normal things, like avatars and shit. I blame you all.

I'm thinking Hillary has a chance in Kansas. I know it's overwhelmingly white and a caucus, but she's been in the state since April of last year. Bernie has only had people on the ground since right after Iowa. I'll be cautiously optimistic. (She'll lose it by 6.)

GOP Caucuses: Trump 1 win 3 losses
GOP Primaries: Trump 9 wins 2 losses

Get rid of the caucuses! They are rigged! Caucuses are a big fat mess! (literally)

Caucuses are dumb. It puts peer pressure on you to vote a certain way based on what friends, family, and neighbors are doing.

Rubio embodies that misguided GOP strategy following 2012 that all they needed to do to win was give their messaging a softer tone.

I'm so scared about the debate. I can't stand the thought of Trump blowing it now, after coming this far. He's got nothing to gain anymore. Who is FOX rooting for, anyway, with Rubio supposedly out of favor (again)?
taking his ball and going home to Miami, LOL
Weekend after the Florida primary! Meh lineup this year overall, but Saturday (main stage) is fantastic. What better way to relax? Unfortunately it's an outdoor event so I don't think there are any foam parties. Maybe at the smaller stages? Can anyone give a testimonial here? 100% serious. Guy could use a good party after the hell he's in.
