My goodness Mike Pence stated that Dick Cheney is a role model.
Instant disqualification.

That's supposed to be an upgrade?
She's a woman during a Hillary presidency just like Steele. Predictable af.That's supposed to be an upgrade?
Cruising rural Ohio flea markets today. Lots of Trump signs in the towns, lots of Hillary Sucks shirts and giant Trump flags for sale at the fleas.
What can you do combatting the GOP baked accusations of her as a liar. I think people's perception are just so maligned that Hillary literally has to dumb it down to the audience.
Sadly, I honestly think she can't do anything about it in her lifetime.
I think you (well not only you but I picked you 'cause you're cute) equate the campaign with the fans a bit too much.
The campaign has not given up on anyone or anything. They're still running on making her the best candidate out there, while also pushing back on some of Trump's shit. They will make a play for those demographics. But...
What I believe and some people here agree is that she can't do much about it in reality. Is part of that her fault? Sure, she's been guarded and not forthcoming and that hits directly to the "believe me" part of the personality. But a lot of the hits are stupid, like the fracking example that I gave a page back.

This attitude that 72% of voters are obviously sexist for not trusting Hillary isn't helpful, especially if you want those numbers to improve. And especially when all the research I've ever seen indicates that Americans overwhelmingly view women in political positions as more honest and ethical compared to men http://www.pewsocialtrends.org/2015/01/14/women-and-leadership/Voters are very good at picking up on the fact that Hillary doesn't have a penis. That's all this measures.

So they CAN block a candidate they find unacceptable. Huh.
She may not be able to do anything about it, but her campaign certainly could. A hell of a lot more than they're doing now.
I switch between news channels as background noise while I'm working for most of the day. To date, this is the only ad I've seen that a) talks more about Hillary than Trump; and b) is mostly positive in tone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cIe_hY4OzeY
And not only is it an absolute snoozer of an ad, it doesn't run nearly as often as this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U-5GUPhwREE
Or this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sEqiNIPIPPQ
Or holy fuck if I see this one again it'll be too soon: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GsIhFog4aJg
Hillary Clinton has not run a single optimistic national ad that is focused on promoting herself since the primaries. If people don't think that's a fucking problem. Her campaign is contributing to her low numbers at this point by sidelining her message in favor of attacking Trump at every opportunity.
I'm glad she's switching tone next week, but her campaign needs to do the same.
Blanket the airwaves with this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GHp69F7vrLU
and this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1iDRu2q2cRw
Remind people of who you are, and lead with a positive message, because it's the one thing Trump can't do. He can't be uplifting to save his life.
But being so "Shame on Trump!" all the goddamn time is not helping, especially when she walks back her most effective attacks (#BasketofDeplorables).
Real talk. I didn't mind Steele. I think he got the shit end of the stick.

Yes, I guarantee that a depressing amount of people dislike her because she's a woman and that much of the controversy surrounding her is bullshit, and that men generally have a much easier time getting elected. But maybe Hillary has issues as a candidate and with her campaign that are unrelated to her gender, and may actually be her fault and not everybody else's!
A failed politician with no significant accomplishments and middling party popularity becomes party chair? Doubtful. He's gone after Trump loses. I'd bet on Fiorina replacing him.
Clinton did run this ad https://twitter.com/HillaryClinton/statuses/760847322922090496 nationally during the Olympics. I saw it a good amount. People just don't seem to be responding to policy this year.

“In many ways the performances of Donald Trump remind me of male chimpanzees and their dominance rituals,” Goodall told The Atlantic. “In order to impress rivals, males seeking to rise in the dominance hierarchy perform spectacular displays: stamping, slapping the ground, dragging branches, throwing rocks.”
Goodall added, “the more vigorous and imaginative the display, the faster the individual is likely to rise in the hierarchy, and the longer he is likely to maintain that position.”
To date, we’ve not seen Trump drag branches or throw rocks, although anything is possible. Instead of physical displays, the Republican presidential nominee has stuck to verbal ones ― bragging about his penis, launching personal attacks and resorting to racist and sexist insults.
Editor’s note: Donald Trump regularly incites political violence and is a serial liar, rampant xenophobe, racist, misogynist and birther who has repeatedly pledged to ban all Muslims — 1.6 billion members of an entire religion — from entering the U.S.
Shit. What can she do to win the crucial flea market demographic?
Flea markets are always like this though. It's literally an economic dead end.
Last time I went to the local flea market some dude was ranting about the Jews and the food vendor still had "Freedom Fries" on a menu that hadn't been touched since 2003.

In 1988, Wasserman Schultz became an aide to Peter Deutsch at the beginning of his state legislative career.[8][12] In 1992, Deutsch made a successful run for United States House of Representatives for Florida's 20th District. Wasserman Schultz recalled getting a call from Deutsch at the time: "It was really amazing. He called me at home one day in the middle of the legislative session and he said, You could run in my race, your house is in my district."[12] Wasserman Schultz won 53 percent of the vote in a six-way Democratic primary and avoided a runoff.[12] She went on to win the general election and succeeded Deutsch in Florida's House of Representatives. At age 26, she became the youngest female legislator in the state's history.[8][13]
She served in the Florida State House of Representatives for eight years, and had to leave office due to state term limits.[8] She became an adjunct instructor of political science at Broward Community College, as well as a public policy curriculum specialist at Nova Southeastern University. With her experience in the Florida House, she ran successfully for the Florida State Senate in 2000. She supported several bills including the Florida Residential Swimming Pool Safety Act and one creating a Children's Services Council for Broward County. She received an award from the Save The Manatee Club for her commitment in the 2002 legislative session to manatee protection as a member of the Florida State Senate.[14]
Wasserman Schultz is a member of the New Democrat Coalition.[15] She was appointed to the Democratic Steering and Policy Committee in her first term. During the 2006 elections, she raised over seventeen million dollars in campaign contributions for her Democratic colleagues (third-most after Nancy Pelosi and Rahm Emanuel), she was chosen as Chief Deputy Whip and appointed to the Appropriations Committee, a plum assignment for a sophomore congresswoman.[16]
She currently chairs the Committee's Legislative Branch subcommittee, which Pelosi returned to the Committee after it was dissolved by Republican leadership in 2005. Shortly after acquiring her spot on the Appropriations Committee, Wasserman Schultz received the waiver necessary to sit on an additional committee (Appropriations is typically an exclusive committee), and she is currently a member of the Judiciary Committee. Aside from her committee and leadership roles, she is a member of Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi's "30 Something" Working Group, which consists of congressional Democrats mostly under age 40. The group concentrates on issues affecting young people, including Social Security. She joined the bipartisan Congressional Cuba Democracy Caucus. According to the Congress.org 2008 Power Rankings, she was the 24th-most powerful member of the House and 22nd most powerful Democratic representative (also most powerful Florida representative).[17]

This is dumb and won't do anything to hurt Trump. It's a waste of time.
She impressed many officials during the primaries, she has corporate ties (lol I know), she's actively campaigning for a position, and she's a white woman. I'd say it's a good bet. Republicans are going to have to make a hard pivot away from Trump, and they need to rebuild with female voters.
Just as they trotted out Steele to feign diversity I expect something similar with Fiorina.
That's too logical. They'll go with Michelle Bachmann.

Lol, what I won't give to see a Trump/Goodall feud. I won't be surprised if Trump responds to this.

Except for Michael Steele, the last few RNC chairs haven't held real political office, right? They're all lawyers and failed politicians who opted to work for the party.A failed politician with no significant accomplishments and middling party popularity becomes party chair? Doubtful.
I've seen people wearing confederate flag shit here in Minnesota. This triggered a memory of going to the Coshocton County fair in the year 2000, where someone was selling baseball caps that just said "White Christian American." I was born and raised in Tennessee, and that took me aback. I'm pretty sure Coshocton was on the Underground Railroad, too. Ohio is not always the utopia it is made out to be.

Wonderful indeed.
Is that Jerry Seinfeld on the right?
I did see more Confederate flags when I went to college in rural Ohio than I saw growing up in suburban Tennessee. Not a totally fair comparison since it's rural vs urban/suburban, but I was surprised by it.I've seen people wearing confederate flag shit here in Minnesota.
