*Clear loser of the primary actively tries to remove you from your position by force after appointing someone who has called the person who appointed you "niggerized"*

"Okay I'll do everything you say!"

Wanna cross post a post I made in the Sanders Extorting the DNC thread because I'm actually curious if I have a point here or if I'm full of it lol

Fuck it I'm going to throw out an hypothesis I've been running over in my head.

Of all the candidates Bernie Sanders is the candidate whose campaign and campaign behavior is the most subservient to money.

Clinton's backers are largely generic Democratic Party backers. They'd be donating to whoever was the favored candidate. She's got a fredom to do whatever because people aren't gonna stop donating.

Sanders though? Sanders is a different beast, especially now. His backers are largely people who have really bought into Bernie Sanders the persona, if he started shifting to accepting defeat and towards uniting the party to defeat Trump, all his money goes away because that's not what he's getting money to do.

I mean look at the crazy shit in Nevada. It's literally on his financial interest to do these things

Just an idea. I'm not saying I'm right.

Thoughts?

CENK: If you're going to ask for policy positions, as you just indicated, what are the policy positions that you would want?

SANDERS: Okay. I want Secretary Clinton - if she's the nominee - to come out for a Medicare For All singlepayer healthcare system. I want fifteen bucks an hour as the minimum wage. I want to rebuild our crumbling infrastructure; Flint, Michigan is not the only community in America that doesn't have safe drinking water. Our roads, bridges, rail system is in disrepair. I want a vigorous effort to address climate change. I mean I am very worried - I talk to these scientists - this planet is in serious danger. And you can't cuddle up to the fossil fuel industry. You gotta take them on. And also, what is resonating, and I believe very important: making colleges and universities tuition free, Wall Street tax on speculation to pay for that, ending these corporate loopholes. These are some of the demands I would take.
Seriously? You would just demand your entire platform?

Remember kids, if you're not with Bernie you're a fucking shill

Procedurely, could the Sanders committee members actually force a floor vote? I feel like they can't actually do anything given Hillary controls 23rds?

It's moreso about causing a scene/chaos than actually being able to get a floor vote. They're basically holding the convention hostage. I don't expect it to work.

Using extortion really helps prove Barney Frank right.

Also, extortion seems to be the breaking point for many of the Sanders OT supporters.

We should have listened to Barney! (Shit, i'm just as guilty by being so passive towards his campaign in the early months)

It's amazing to witness the change in OT over the last two weeks. The letter thread over there is almost universally negative on Sanders. At this rate, I'm not sure there will be enough delicious tears and meltdowns to sustain me until the debates.

More or less, except he's still in control. He can quit this shit whenever he wants. He can quit taking donations. He can actually signal to his supporters that they've lost, and they'll stop sending money. No one is forcing him to play these games and pretend that he hasn't lost the race, or pretend that losing doesn't have consequences.

Send him packing. This is tiring.

More like a failed kickstarter where a large chunk of the money us funneled to shitty business partners' pesonal wallets

Oh shit, exactly. With him failing to put a cap on his Campaign Manager's Compensation.

I feel so vindicated, kinda sadly actually, for making that straight up fuck Sanders planned parenthood 22 page monster thread. I got such blowback from that thread.

Honestly at this point I am legitimately wondering if he's senile? This is not the behavior of a rational person.

It's exactly the behavior of what Barney Frank said though in 1991.

"His holier-than-thou attitude - saying in a very loud voice he is smarter than everyone else and purer than everyone - really undercuts his effectiveness"

"To him, anybody who disagrees with him is a crook; there are no honest disagreements with people. Bernie's view of the world is that the great majority of people agree with him on all the issues and the only reason he does not win is that the Congress is crooked"

I said it before in his mind there exists no universe in which Bernie can fail. He can only be failed by all of us who are sell outs to his socialist utopia.

Bernie crying about Barney Frank "being mean" in legalese sustains me

I think Barney is less of a Hillary surrogate and more of a guy who thinks Bernie is a clueless protester who doesn't deserve the time of day

These quotes describe Bernie so perfectly its amazing.

I feel sorry for those of you that can't honestly say you didn't vote for Sanders when you're grandchildren never ask you about it (because no one will give a shit about Bernie Sanders in six months).

Hillary should have buried his ass months ago.

It's an interesting point in that, should we treat primaries as an "attack only from your side" event?

Republicans would not attack Trump from the left, and Democrats would not attack Sanders from the right for pretty much any reason.

Not going to comment at all about the new low for Sanders huh? I figured you to be one of the more level headed Sanders supporters.

Instead you post a link to a Fox News segment. Interesting choice.
The beauty of my posts would be ruined if I included /s every time I was sarcastic, the tradeoff is making people mad when they can't tell

After 2008, I think Hillary was hesitant to be too vicious during the primary. Plus there was never a point in which she wasn't firmly in control .She'd have been punching down and you just don't do that.

Very much true.
Yup.

Like seriously you want to get this salty over Frank. The man is worth 10 "Bernies." Frank should spit some ether on this fool.
Unbelievable how petty Bernie is.
She did tho

About that

It was a protest vote -____-;

I did like him at the time (Georgia primary), but never thought he was gonna win

I mean I get why 2008 stung so much. She'd been a part of the Democratic party for a long time, and this new kid on the block comes out of nowhere and surges into first place

That's gotta hurt.

This reminds me that for most of 2012, I was planning to vote Jill Stein in the general election. It was a combination of things...I was sort of disappointed in Obama's first term (I was 20 in 2008 and I definitely remember thinking at the time like "omg awesome! Everything is going to be perfect from now on!" before reality sets in) but I also just thought it would be fun to vote 3rd party. And I figured Obama was a lock for re-election.

Then everyone freaked out after that first debate and I did end up voting for O in the end. But like, looking back, my thinking at the time was kinda cringey. Especially with how annoying Stein is being this year.
