Lol Iran. It's been known since the beginning that the nuclear deal lifted sanctions related to the nuclear program and the missile sanctions would remain in place. New sanctions related to abetting and funding extremism and continuing its ballistic missile program are to be expected. Sounds like.. their fault.

Bernie was correct for voting against the bill because of Iran honestly

We should have sanctioned Russia but it didn't make sense to place Iran in there as well. It's not like they fucked with our election.

Eh there is the ballistic missile tests, and they are still running around as Assad's ground forces and commanding his troops. Iran wants to spend that sanction money so they need to learn that their actions matter in the world markets.

Fought off my first BernieBro in a debate today. Decently easy because the facts are on my side... Called me an SJW and that was the end of that

It's a good bet, actually. They need to get as many regional partners as they can that aren't already aligned with Saudi Arabia.

Well by Tuesday, it will have been 200 days since the start of this new administration. How is everyone holding up?

I'm okay, but I do not live near America. One good thing about the trump presidency is trump has been dealing with controversy after controversy since Jan 20th which has helped weaken his administration a bit even though his administration is awful.

You shouldn't have even sanctioned Russia in the way that particular bill did. It was a bad bill.

Which dipshit Democrats contributed to "Should the President stop tweeting?" in the Quin poll? ...C'mon, fess up. And I know it's a significant majority since even 54% of Republicans agree. Clearly we aren't anywhere near jaded enough with this administration.

LOL at "all-time."

I'm sure Congress is loving him throwing them under the bus, too. I wonder if when sycophants like Tom Cotton hear this, they say, "Yes, you are right. We are a terrible group, Mr. President."

Russia retaliates to our sanctions and gets taunted by the Russian PM, and Trump still hasn't mentioned a mumbling word about it. Yet he goes after Congress.

It's so obvious that Russian has something over Trump. He simply can't not express any public anger toward Russia. He'll attack Americans and our own institutions before he'll criticize Russia.

WASHINGTON -- Two members of the Senate Judiciary Committee are moving to protect Special Counsel Robert Mueller's job, putting forth legislation that aims to ensure the integrity of current and future independent investigations.

Republican Sen. Thom Tillis of North Carolina and Democratic Sen. Chris Coons of Delaware plan to introduce the legislation Thursday. The bill would allow any special counsel for the Department of Justice to challenge his or her removal in court, with a review by a three-judge panel within 14 days of the challenge.

The bill would be retroactive to May 17, 2017 - the day Mueller was appointed by Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein to investigate Russian meddling in the 2016 election and possible ties to Donald Trump's campaign.

"It is critical that special counsels have the independence and resources they need to lead investigations," Tillis said in a statement. "A back-end judicial review process to prevent unmerited removals of special counsels not only helps to ensure their investigatory independence, but also reaffirms our nation's system of check and balances."

The Post has obtained transcripts of President Trump's January phone conversations with Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto and Australian Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull.

President Trump made building a wall along the southern U.S. border and forcing Mexico to pay for it core pledges of his campaign.

But in his first White House call with Mexico's president, Trump described his vow to charge Mexico as a growing political problem, pressuring the Mexican leader to stop saying publicly that his government would never pay.

”You cannot say that to the press," Trump said repeatedly, according to a transcript of the Jan. 27 call obtained by The Washington Post. Trump made clear that he realized the funding would have to come from other sources but threatened to cut off contact if Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto continued to make defiant statements.

The funding ”will work out in the formula somehow," Trump said, adding later that ”it will come out in the wash, and that is okay." But ”if you are going to say that Mexico is not going to pay for the wall, then I do not want to meet with you guys anymore because I cannot live with that."

He described the wall as ”the least important thing we are talking about, but politically this might be the most important."

Kelly's in for a real good time. Between Trump's tweeting, these transcripts, bipartisan support for protecting the Mueller investigation, and the monster's sinking polling numbers, he needs more than military expertise to save the ship.

I think he's not long for the White House.

“This is going to kill me,” he said to Turnbull. “I am the world’s greatest person that does not want to let people into the country. And now I am agreeing to take 2,000 people.”

“I hate taking these people,” Trump said. “I guarantee you they are bad. That is why they are in prison right now. They are not going to be wonderful people who go on to work for the local milk people” — an apparent reference to U.S. dairy farms.

Turnbull tried to salvage the deal, noting that the detainees were economic refugees who had not been accused of crimes. He explained that they were being denied entry into Australia because of a policy aimed at discouraging human smuggling.

“There is nothing more important in business or politics than a deal is a deal,” Turnbull said. “You can certainly say that it was not a deal that you would have done, but you are going to stick with it.”

Trump only became angrier, saying the refugees could “become the Boston bomber in five years.”

Dear Lord.
