just need the camera shutter and i think we've got something.

:lol

I loled.

LITERALLY. Not Figuratively - LITERALLY.

Obama rocks! This guy has like every presidential quality that a person can possibly have.

Best overall speech of the convention. Everything that came before was essentially added together, perfectly in unity and clarity. I don't think it was as good as the 2004 speech but only because it didn't dwell on the inspirational, emotion writing. This was a policy speech. This was an introduction speech. No one could watch that and still wonder who Obama is, or what he will do as president.

Perfectly delivered.

I can't believe some of you guys watch FOX, you know Nielsen is becoming irrelevant and that networks monitor your cable box data? Fuck FOX ratings, watch that shit on Youtube later.

Fred Barnes on Fox News: Said it's the same liberal speech said over and over.... complained of his excessive attacks on John McCain :lol

Bill Kristol playing mind games?

Did he really just praise Obama with close to no critiques?

Don't worry, Fred Barnes is shitting on it. Brit Hume sighs with relief.

I can't believe MSNBC even manages to garner meager ratings.

Man, I hate this country's obsession with speeches. It was a good one, but does anyone actually believe that the corporations that control this country will allow half of these things to happen. And I'm a damn socialist in many ways.

Love Obama, but I know that as President, he is limited in his powers.
So was Clinton but he made them compromise. Obama knows he can't do away with big business but he can try to negate their negative influence on the economy and the working class. We need someone who will at least TRY to accomplish those things. You don't give up on it because you think can't abolish or defeat it altogether. Instead you stand and fight for the common working men and women.

HOW IS OBAMA GOING TO PAY FOR ALL THAT? Um, let's see maybe you should ask Bush and McCain and GOP the same question. Oh wait, instead of collecting taxes to pay for their stuff, they CUT taxes and then increase spending ten fold and blow a surplus. Whoops.

Your boy just promised to cut taxes while offering everything and the kitchen sink.

I wouldn't call a political speech on health care, taxes, war in Iraq, and the economy very moving...

:lol :lol :lol That was what I was talking about.

So did you have the little paper taped to your T.V. saying " He doesnt know what he's talking about." ?

Now what is wrong with being moved on a political speech? Also he said more than what you listed.

Cut taxes for MIDDLE AMERICA while removing tax cuts for the insanely rich and large corporation loopholes. Try to keep up.

Great speech, I don't see that anyone could have walked away unhappy with it. It's quite sad some people are taking to criticizing it by focusing on some people's positive reactions rather than its own substance.

McCain camp response:

“Tonight, Americans witnessed a misleading speech that was so fundamentally at odds with the meager record of Barack Obama. When the temple comes down, the fireworks end, and the words are over, the facts remain: Senator Obama still has no record of bipartisanship, still opposes offshore drilling, still voted to raise taxes on those making just $42,000 per year, and still voted against funds for American troops in harm’s way. The fact remains: Barack Obama is still not ready to be President.”

Chris Wallace agrees with Kristol. Also, a big :lol at people Fox-bashing. I'm sure the same objectivity is also applied to that champion of truth MSNBC.

I told you twice: stop being stupid.

Why do you even post in this thread when you sound like a talking head?

He named SPECIFIC THINGS HE WOULD DO to get the money for what he wants to do.

STOP IT.

:lol :lol It doesn't even carry any weight. If you watched that speech, it sounds ridiculous.

So, is Biden going to step up around now, or is Obama bringing THAT foreign policy argument to the remainder of the campaign? I eagerly await seeing whose mouth McCain will slap the taste out of.

Right, but it's the same stuff that he said before, and economic thinktanks on the left, right, and non-partisan have said he's coming up waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay short.
