Third person all the way, baby! First-person optional for specific angles are appreciative, but the former stays true for the genre and cool BOWs.
Imagine playing Dead Rising in first person only without third person, for example. Dear lord.
Still, nonetheless, I have fully completed and unlocked all achievements with all the core RE entries on Steam (including my beloved Dead Rising
) and will do so this one booking probably two days off to do this together with the wife. Can't beat that magical launch feeling.

First and 3rd Person POV toggle is the dream. No reason to not have it.
Rewatched the trailer.
-Grace seems to be tracking at least 3 fugitives based on the eivdence spread across her cubicle.
-Grace seems to have Grey Eyes or lighting makes it difficult to ascertain her eye color.
-We may or may not have an Alyssa section leading to her "death". Hotel Room 201 seems significant.
-Grace strapped down in the Hospital bed has bloody clothes so is likely infected by a new strain of virus.
-I'm on board with thinking the Zombie at the end is Alyssa Ashcroft and her "murder" was just a coverup.
-Game will probably lead us to the Raccoon City Crater
Kinda hoping nuking the city ironically made things worse and the radiation made things much worse and we now have a radioactive Zombie strain to deal with.

Crimson Heads (or a more mutated alt strain here than going down the licker route) making a return would work well.
Returning to a post-bombed city like this is a really cool concept. I imagine there will be some pseudo-alt profiling with having parts back to how they looked in 1998 pre-bombing, given what we saw.
BOWs are going to be ferocious no doubt.

Hallway looks nothing like RE1's
It looks closer to 2R than 1 or 1R
Not everything is a callback or reference
It's just an atmospheric shot of a rundown building
I like the rest of the list though.

Capcom is pretty good at variety in locales and different types of ambience; I am sure they have got this bang on.
I cross my fingers that we will finally get what is left of the Sky Fortress 3.5 concept with the air blip and all that pure gothic horror of steel due to the ties of it with Umbrella and what we see here.
The man in the chair with his hair and posture sure reminds me of Spencer (looking younger than his RE5 self). Purposely well framed in all good curious fashion.
We are not returning back to Raccoon City like this unless it's truly some insane high stakes, the begining of the end is about to occur.

I did think of Spencer. It would be a twist if he became an elevated Zombie after Wesker killed him but I'm not sure it's him but the chair angle does make me think of him.

Yup, Capcom does things purposely framed, and that posture is so very apt.
If there is truly one person that should never be underestimated, even with his 'death', it's that man, given all we have known and seen in all the games up to the latest. We knew what his end game and desires were, and there are a lot of different ways a man can return here.
Things were very foreboding and a little 'open' on the files, and that smile he had on his death.

Bit underwhelmed watching this on my phone last night and it doesn't help that the opening shot is of the FBI Head walking down the corridor with his back to camera and so the first face you see is of a basic NPC walking past but...
Rewatched the trailer in 4K on my big screen and wow - what a difference! If you haven't done so, I really recommend putting this on the biggest screen you own in 4K and appreciating the graphics and animation... they are definitely on par, if not superior to the high bar set my Resident Evil 4: Remake. The faces look incredibly detailed, the cloth textures, the animation movement as Grace gets up flustered from her work desk.. all absolutely top notch.
This will be the first next-gen only Resi, and after rewatching the trailer I no longer have doubts on the visuals - this game will be the best looking yet for the series.

^ That's how I watched it from the get go so I laugh at the people underwhelmed with the graphics. Best looking RE, easily. Also, people are assuming too much. There are side characters in these games all the time. Leon or Jill could still be the main character, Grace may be a side character.
