This isn't a theater production or stage play, this is a movie and there is little to no historical reason in that medium to do it.If they are going for an older Zelda I can see it. I don't know what he sounds like but in principle I have no issues with men playing women or the opposite. It has a long history in theatre and stage plays of all kinds.
Obviously if they also make Zelda the character trans for "representation" or whatever, that would be a different story.
Few to no people want this, it's needs to not happen. If it does it was solely to make a trans statement.
