Congrats to the winning queen!
As much as I loved Naomi, Bob had the best track record so she deserved it. And this season was pretty much Bob's Drag Race Feat. Derrick hems everything so it's understandable.

SERIOUSLY. It went like "Hey, we've read this bunch of stuff you have said in other interviews that was posted on Reddit, was that true?" "Yea--" "Ok I'm fucking tired Katya go crown some bitch". I remember S7 interviews being somewhat more personal and having surprises that were actually surprising unlike Naomi's: "Hey Naomi it's me, Lena Headey, from a show I don't know you follow or not. SHAME. *bells ringing*"

Even though it seemed like the obvious outcome from the beginning, I'm still relieved Bob won. I really don't see it for Kim and I was getting nervous she might pull off an upset. Yay Bob!
Well being abroad means I will have to catch this later, urgh.
But so glad Bob won, I was afraid for a second, because Kim Chi is outrageously popular for some reason beyond me, is this generation really that instagram-focused? that's basically the only thing Kim Chi absolutely excels at.
I'm dying to see Violet's final look, everyone keeps hyping it to absurdity.

I can't believe they wasted Kennedy Davenport in that awful song.

I always look forward to the House of Edwards warm up cause they always steal the show. Kennedy Davenport blew everyone outta the water this year though.

I hope in future they drop the whole finale thing, it sucks.
There should just be a final three challenge, bring back the losing queens from the season and have the top three each work with a few of them in a quasi-group format.
That way there's still a reunion of sorts but its just in the workroom, and we still get challenges worth watching.

I don't mind the current awards show format they've been using for the finales. It's boring and cringe-worthy, but I really like seeing some of the past queens show up for cameos or audience appearances.
Honestly, I think there just needs to be an Untucked Finale done in the same format of the season 1-3 finales. That way Ru can have his Drag Oscars, and we can get some meaningful discussions among the queens and the judges.

I like the format in theory, but they need to work on the material. It was forced, overly rehearsed and unfunny for the most part. From Ru, to the judges, to all the Queens.
Also, Bob's win was deserved, but if it was up to me I'd re-crown Violet. I wasn't even her biggest Stan last season!

One thing I just couldn't help but think to myself when seeing this was....
"Wow, Raja was there! How...how could this happen? Lol"
But to be fair,as a resident fashion queen ...she has been eclipsed ages ago lol. Still, Violet really came thru.

This was the highlight for me, she looked great in that outfit, colour, everything.
Bob's win was secured, no surprises. Bit of a flat finale overall, but whatevs.
Violet yet again demonstrating why she was the winner last season with that stunning gown, make-up and everything, she's the whole package, anyone who disagrees she should have won last season can fight me, you know you're wrong.

oh god these reunions are so cringy.
The idea of being live is to have more spontaneous moments, but this is even more scripted than the show itself, no surprise when they film this thing for six freaking hours.
I truly miss this:
If you are going to push drama might as well go all the way, not the insipid interviews of this year.

I miss this too. But you see the choice they had was to put the finale on as a show in a theatre, which makes it a bigger occasion, but then if they had a long bitch-fest sit down panel, it wouldn't really work and would hang a really negative cloud over the whole thing.

What I really came to say is Violet's final look for the reunion was fucking amazing. As she entered, there was someone in the audience who looked like her very soul had been snatched away, and I could relate. Stunning. Can there be any doubt she deserves her crown?
To tell the truth, all of the past winners looked phenomenal (especially Bebe, whose fashion has always had a regal quality), Katya demonstrated once again that she was top 3 material, and most of this season's queens looked better than ever. Acid Betty was a major standout. And of course Kim Chi was ridiculously elegant.
Good season. Glad they did away with S7's excess of group challenges.
The only other conceivable winner was Katya, and she got totally dicked over.

Great finale, Chi Chi should have won MC even though Cynthia's a sweetheart. I feel like MC's been redefined on this show as a queen who almost became a finalist but was instead sent home too soon. Thinking Latrice, Dela, Katya, etc.
Bob was an obvious winner from the moment they announced the cast, she was dripping in C.U.N.T right out the gate. People like that deserve the crown. I know people fell for Kim Chi and all her elegant awkwardness but she would have made a terrible winner. Mechanical interview skills, bad performer, no charisma... honestly she should have gone home before Acid and Thorgy but I know Ru likes to cast an ingenue every season, and viewers fall for them. See: Pearl making top 3.

I think Chi Chi deserved MC. All I remember about Cynthia was cucu.

If you watch Untucked, Cynthia was always a beacon of positivity and all the queens rallied around her. Pretty nice considering this season was Ru Paul's Best Friends Race in the end.

As far as I know Kim Chi and Pearl both had insane following on social media before the show.
Like with Adore and Courtney, popular queens are going to be kept safe for the sake of the audience.
I guess that's why it's so much better to cast mostly unknown queens. And the reason the first three seasons still feel better and more balanced, the show has changed drag, no question about it, and now is more popular than ever.
