Wow, awesome episode. Man, I felt bad for Bobby. I was anxious as hell during those last five minutes. Can it be? Is he really dead?

Pretty sweet episode.

About time something happened to him. That said, he ain't dead.

Agreed. And I might be over analyzing things, but on rewatch it looked like the two bullets hit Clay towards his right shoulder and in the stomach area, not anywhere near his heart.

My guess is he ends up in a coma, which is what let's Jax put the blame on the niners.

Anyone else just want everyone on this show outside of Tara and maybe Ope to die? There is nothing redeemable about them.

Yeah, the shots didn't look like they hit vital areas. We won't know for sure till next week. Can't believe it's two more episodes then the wait till next year. This season feels like it flew by.

This season has been incredible, tonight was a letdown:

Tonight's episode and Preview related observations:
  • Clay getting shot and not dying means he survives the season. It probably also means he never calls in the hit on Tara
  • Bobby going away means Jax has to ascend
  • Gemma will give him the letters and cement him staying
  • Preview pins the Clay assault on the blacks, which could help tie up the Cartel angle with a mini gang war
  • Girl flying through the window won't be Gemma or Tara (it'll be Drea De Matteo)
  • I really hoped the show would've made some harder decisions than this, someone executing Clay while he's in a hospital bed would be lame, him living through the season is even lamer, though.

Anyone with a link to next week's preview? No way Clay is dead. I wonder if Clay informed the cartel that Tara was out of the hospital before he got shot?

For a show that's one of the most successful on cable, you'd think SoA would have enough in the budget to handle blood effects. They're always so laughably bad.

Awesome, it looks like Clay finally got what he deserved assuming he died or is in a coma. I think now that Bobby is in prison, Jax realizes Ope will have to take over the club when he leaves and so he has to find a scapegoat to blame Clay (and also Piney's) death on, I can imagine things getting very messy in the next couple episodes.

Gemma is trying to pull him back in but I think he's too strong to buckle. Only way he stays in the club is if his family gets hurt in some way or if he gets forced to do some prison time for assaulting wendy getting pulled over with a gun or something.

I can't imagine how Otto feels right now. He's headed for a quick execution but before that time he'll probably find out the truth about Georgie.

I don't think so, because then the prospect assigned to watch Tara would also be killed and they wanted to make it look like an accident.

was kind of hoping clay would die in a more interesting way

it was pretty straightforward

at the very least it not being jax who does it feels wrong somehow

assuming hes actually dead and doesnt get snuffed out with a pillow next episode lol

I'm with you on pretty much all this, except for the fact that I didn't consider the episode a let down, except for the ending. You're right, Clay isn't going to die, and therefore he won't be killed before the end of the season either. I'm not sure about them getting rid of Wendy so quickly after she reappears either, but they might!

I have some faith that Sutter will sort this shit out, fingers crossed.

That wasn't a girl , it was the Assistant DA. Look at the long leather coat he was wearing.

Great episode. I hope Clay's dead, but I doubt he is.

Sutter gave himself the line of the episode: "Yeah, I'm completely at peace."

Had a grin on my face when Opie shot Clay.

Why? All it did was probably ensure that Clay lives longer in hospital care. At the faux-Mexican stand-off they should've faded to black, brought up the Sons logo, fired the shots beneath the Sons logo and shown no preview for next week.

My guess is that Jax asks Tara to save Clay. But she is the only one who knows he threatened her. So she will either operate without saying anything, or tell the whole truth. Either way, Clay will owe Tara, and he will do his best to call off the hit.

I'm so glad Sutter didn't get cold feet and turn Otto's scenario into another "gotcha, I lied" moment.

Only just watching the newest ep. Last scene at the clubhouse was so good. Not sure if Clay actually got got, but it was still really well done.

I was sure they'd say Clay was just in a coma or something, but rewatching the preview for next week, there's a quick flash of a scene where Unser is bent down looking at Clay's body in the clubhouse, and he's not acting the way you think he would if Clay were alive. It'd be pretty bold for a TV show to kill off one of the main characters with 2 seasons left, but it might also be what this show needed, with the tendency the last couple seasons being for things to wrap up nicely for the club.

Just got caught up. What a crazy episode - things are spinning completely out of control. I don't know how they're going to resolve everything, but I'm enjoying the ride. We only have two episodes left this season.

One more thing: just like we've been doing for the past four years, please spoiler tag all preview discussion. Thank you.

Been on paternity leave for the last month, so I did a 3 day smackie session and watched the first 3 seasons for 3 days straight with the wife, and have been watching season 4 the last couple of weeks and it's been great.

Awesome show.

But Clay needs to fucking die hard.

No way he's dead though. Opie shot him on the wrong side. Wish he nailed him in the head. Prick.

Would love a season of Jax running the Sons.

Rewatching the last episode in preparation for tonight. Opie's great. Some other good scenes with Clay/Tara and Otto/Bobby, too. The bit with the baby market at the beginning is so random. Lots to resolve before the end of the season: Clay's fate, Jax/Tara's plan to leave, what happens with Opie/Juice, the deal with the Irish and the cartel, Lincoln Potter busting in on the meeting, Charming Heights, etc... Should be a fun couple of episodes.

Good stuff from Tara tonight, though it's certainly not going to be as easy as she wants.

Please remember to SPOILER TAG ALL PREVIEW DISCUSSION, especially this week since we're headed into the finale. I'll post reviews in a few minutes when they're up.

I suppose that's Gemma's last play to keep Jax around.
Seriously. There's so much collateral damage on this show.
My thoughts exactly! Jesus, they just get in deeper and deeper trouble. Makes for good tv though. :) Gemma dropping the atom bomb on Jax while conveniently leaving herself and Unser out of it.

Anyone else find it weird how Tara kept asking people if they loved her while looking spaced out? I didn't know what to make of it at first. And how she came up with a way to get rid of Clay. Understandably she wants Clay dead, but it's pretty amazing how much she's changed over the seasons.

Going to be a long wait till next week.
