Goddamn that's good television.

When Tara pulled one from under Gemma at the end there I was all

i let out an audible "BOOYASHAKA" as it happened

Yeah I was wondering that, too. He was alone when he made that call wasn't he? No Acevedo? :p

hmm...

my thoughts are,
Romero might be an informant of his own, or agent. I can't think of a reason for a cartel leader with "connections" coming back with a 100% "not happening" result.

Though maybe the cartel is planning on capping the Sons at this meet, and want the Sons to believe that "everything is alright" and to show up.

Great television again, but the show is wearing out the cliffhanger endings that turn into "gotcha". You can earn those moments for a one-time use, but you can't do them every single damn week.

So should we expect any sort of investigation into the motorcycle gang murdering someone in front of hundreds of witnesses...?

that whole sequence was retarded

i dont even get what happened to the girl.. she died from jumping through the glass? it didnt look like she was hit by the car

also what cliffhanger ending?

tara telling gemma she was smarter than her was pretty awesome.. otherwise pretty soft episode

clay is obviously not going to die....

I betcha the cliffhanger is him requesting witness protection.

Something will probably go wrong during the meet to screw up the Attorney General's case.

How does the show compare to stuff like Breaking Bad?
I need a new crime drama to fill the void until the next season, since Dexter is becoming more and more of a joke.

I'm going to say right now that I will be furious if Gemma kills Tara, not only to bury her secret but to stop Jax from leaving. Furious.

I'll be even more furious if Clay reveals that he's actually Jax's real father and survives the season as a result.

It's nowhere near as good as Breaking Bad, but if you've stuck with Dexter this far (i.e. 3 of its 6 seasons have been absolute shit), Sons of Anarchy will be a breath of fresh air nonetheless. It's B+ tier, maybe A-.

So...what's up with Romero, his sources, and his reply to Jax about Otto....

I agree with your speculation: either they accurately found out that all Otto did was sell out Bobby, and not the club itself, and they're unaware of what Juice is up to, or they're planning to eliminate the middlemen in their little Irish-Cartel deal.

in one of the shots i noticed the cars were empty. Dunno if it was just a goof or if the Sons had managed to stage it in record time or something.

Damn, that was a great episode. Gemma is so fucking devious and Tara is spinning out of control. I can't wait to see part two next week.

Yeah. In the real world, falling through a glass window is likely to be fatal, it's just a TV/movie trope to have people do it and come out unscathed.

Faulty aspects of stuntwork not withstanding, I assume there won't be an investigation of the Motorclub, as I assume the car Tig used was stolen or acquired outside the club, and abandoned. Witnesses would have described the tan sedan, and I remember that Tig was ducking behind the wheel while doing this. And wore gloves in the car. So, it would be a hard investigation. Only the Black Gang knows it was a motorcycle gang, and they won't take this to the Police, they'll handle it themselves.

Not to say that this couldn't be a future story plot next season.

- Promo for next week's episode (please spoiler tag any discussion)

Definitely something fishy going on there. Not sure what's going to happen with Romeo and Otto next week.

The pacing was off this week. It felt like the first half of an episode, which is more or less what it is.
"He's gotta die like...a lot"

Oh Happy you so funny.
His delivery is terrible, but he's still very amusing.

I was talking about the driver getting killed on the highway, witnesses being all the other drivers.

In the preview
we see Jax in the hospital so how does he make it out of the meet?

guaranteed he goes back twice...once to just see if he could go through with it. The 2nd time will be at the end after the deal has either gone through or gone south, so that clay knows what happens and he can rub his face in it either way

Doh, somehow that slipped my mind. Yeah....

By now, everyone in Charming has seen murder and carnage perpetrated by men on motorcycles. So, it's just a normal Tuesday afternoon on the freeway!

For the show to go on, Jax won't be leaving with Tara, so what do we think will happen to make him stay?

Tara dying seems to be the most obvious and I wouldn't be surprised if Gemma kills her as she would do anything to keep Jax.

I'll go with the thing with Clay going sideways, and somehow it becomes known that Tara was the person who came up with the plan/needle. That Tara goes to jail.

Finally started this show after all these years...girlfriend had said she wanted to watch it too but never could get it started.

I hope Jacks eventually gets stronger. Such a pussy with this changing the club shit! Almost done with season 1..crazy stuff going down!

Maybe Tara just takes the kids and leaves and Jax stays behind? Or is that too light for this show?

It wasn't a bad episode per se, but it seemed unnecessary.

Every other seaon was 13 episodes, and it doesn't seem like this season needed a 14th.

Surely they coudl have wrapped everything up in this one neatly and easily. I mean, the only thing everyone really cares about is Clay being killed, and all they've doen is drag that out for one more episode.

Ugh. I was really excited to finally find out if that fucker dies or not. Fuck I hate him. Fuck.

Get the fuck out of this thread.

The show has demonstrated a willingness to do time lapses between seasons. It's possible that they could have Jax leave at the end of the season and come up with a reason for him to return.

I really hope the teasers for next season start with an announcer saying "The game... has changed... This time... it's personal!"

Cause really. That's what we're getting at. Shit's getting fucking aggressive and I love it.

Breaking Bad is the best show on television, so it's not a fair comparison.

Seasons 1, 2, and 4 of Sons are definitely in my top 10 shows that are on right now.

Exactly, though I find that I like season 3 of Sons more than most people (even though it's clearly the worst one). Kurt Sutter is my favorite showrunner because of how often he pops off at the mouth.

When Clay doesn't get killed tonight, the backside of the Bezier Curve that has been this season's arc will finally be cemented.

I won't be bothered at all if Clay survives. I just hope the reason for it (if it happens) is not contrived at all like the baby kidnapping shit. If it feels natural and logical, then I'll be happy.

The Collider interview doesn't have any spoilers, besides that *very small and I'm sure everyone has come to the same conclusion spoiler*
Lincoln lives beyond tonight's episode.

No Spoilers in the Entertainment Weekly post. It's just a catch up of last week's episode and a couple quotes from Ron and a worried fan. There will be a spoiler article after air time of course.

Things are "hinted" at in the Reuters interview, but I don't think it's enough to really be considered a spoiler. Sagal it seems doesn't really know anymore than anyone else even though she's married to Sutter.

I can see Clay living, but the truth about what he did to Piney and Tara will come out and the club and his family will be trying to hunt him down. There's no way he's going back to being the club president.

Obviously the way things ended with the Niners is going to cause some drama this episode, what with Tig causing Laroy's wife/gf to die and Jax killing one of the gang members during the freeway chase. It's possible that the Niners may even reach out to Lobo Sonora to team up.

I have no idea what will happen to Bobby, Juice, or Lincoln Potter. I can't see them sticking Bobby and Juice in a jail cell for all of the next season though.

Hell yeah, me too! Can't wait till tonight's episode. Once it's ten the tv is on, my cup of coffee in my hand and my full attention till it's over. Can't believe it's the season finale already. Then it's the long wait till 2012...
