Splatoon |OT| Squidstyler

If anyone is still looking for the 3 packs, I'd suggest Best Buy. Stopped at two of them when I was out and about this morning and both had plenty of them. All the Targets I went to were out. YMMV obviously

I'll second this. Just stopped by best buy and they had two 3-packs just sitting there.

"Superheroes" doesn't matter. Wonderful 101 isn't based on any comic book license and even if it were the only one that really seems to sell right now is Batman anyway.

There wasn't any return of investment for serious advertising for that game.

The reason Batman (and Injustice) are the only superhero games that sell now right is because those are the only high-profile superhero games being made right now. Activision continues making their mediocre Spider-Man tie-in games and no other major publisher has any Marvel licenses right now as far as we know.

Thanks for the fast replies about only the GamePad can be used as the primary controller. That's an interesting choice to say the least.

So what is the consensus, motion controls or no motion controls? I am leaning towards no myself, but wondering if there are any known disadvantages to doing so.

The launch pads in single player remind me of the launch stars in Mario Galaxy. In fact, the whole thing kinda makes me think Mario Galaxy with a gun.

Yeah, wouldn't be surprised if Galaxy 3 was announced at E3 now.

Also, would buy a Splatoon Adventure or a sp dlc campaign. Shit is good, but you can tell it could be way more.

Having trouble finding a gun I like, every weapon so far have been a bit hit or miss for me. Also, I hate that mall level, not having fun on that stage.

Motion controls on. Best way to play. You'll need a few matches to get used to it though.

How do you change your win/loss pose?

You can change that?

No = slower & less accurate. You'll be forced to use motion controls during the tutorial. Just leave them on. You'll get used to them soon enough. Don't flail your arms.

Motion controls on. Faster, smoother and more accurate.

I would say experiment and find your niche. Some people prefer the motion controls, some don't. The motion controls arguably allow for a lot more accuracy but that depends on how well you handle the controller.

Bought a copy on my lunch break. Brought it in the office, so I can periodically look at the box. Trying to figure out if there is a way for me to leave four hours early.

I'm not at all. Do you have your router optimized for Nintendo systems? If not, call Nintendo and they can walk you through it based on your router. This game is silky smooth
Is there some sort of support article I can follow? If I talk to a human I'm going to snap.

I don't understand the whole "optimise for Nintendo consoles" when the game was working fine the past two days and MK8 and Smash have always (even today) work fine.

No issue with any other Nintendo product or game. No issue with any other Wifi or ethernet connected device. Just fucking Splatoon.

After playing for three days, I feel the different weapon classes are really unbalanced.
The smaller rapid fire weapons especially, Splattershot Jr and Aerospray. They are way too fucking versatile. They cover ground like crazy and kill you incredibly fast when going face to face. Against a good player, slower weapons don't stand a chance, even more so if they can't out-range them. At best it will result in a double KO. (I'm talking about shooters here, like the Gal and the blasters, not the charge weapons)

Seems to me like Nintendo wanted a noob-friendly weapon and went a little too far. Especially with the shield combo. It's probably one of the most useful special, and it gets paired with one of the easiest weapon to charge the special gauge.

I'm lvl 19 and it's ridiculous how every level 18-20 and their mothers are using splat jr. and aerosprays, with the lone gal or charge sometimes. Absolutely no roller, blaster or squiffer.

tldr :
NINTENDO NERF SPLAT JR. PLZ

Splatshoot jr. does indeed seemed to be the most deadly/balanced loadout for turf war, but it's too early to say whether or not the others are unbalanced when ranked modes haven't even been officially launched yet. I think each of the main loadout can be viable in turf war, and I see huge potential for some of the weaker turf war loadouts for the ranked modes (such as charger for tower).

I think out of the 5 maps available, Blackbelly Skatepark is my least favourite. It's very annoying to navigate and those damn grind rails block most of my shots.

I picked up my preorder at Best Buy this morning, so stoked to get started but I'm at work for another 5 hours. Glad so many other folks are enjoying the heck out of the game, though!

Some of hte SP levels look incredible. I really wish we could get a Wii U Mario game with the same idea.

I have try everything but It doesnt work! Get errors 118-0502 and 118-0516. Help please!

I was unable to join the first test fire because of connection errors.
The problem was my router. It puts my wiiU (and ps4) into a strict NAT type 3 mode. Which I think means that ports are closed. You have to either port forward on your router or go into your router settings and put the wiiU into the DMZ (demilitarised zone).

My previous router was fine with the 3ds, wiiU etc but unfortunately it broke and now I have this strict little bastard router that I have to mess around with occasionally, which involves a lot of googling.

Someone add this to the OP.

I've never bought an amiibo in my life. I bought 2 (boy and girl) when I picked up my pre-order from Best Buy just because they were there lol.

We're mainly talking about the difficulty level.
We'renot spoiling at all its strategy or weapons it use.
So how the heck is that a spoiler saying only it's challenging ?...

Me ? I was talking about the weapon that I'm using, not what the boss is using.

Off topic question guys... do you have to go through nintendo directly to get a gamepad charger or the high capacity battery? Gamestop says they don't sell them nor does best buy.

I bought a replacement charger from Amazon and it works really well! It's made by Nyko and I've been using it for over a year now. As for the battery, the only place I'd buy it from would be Nintendo, just because it might come with a warranty.

Don't use the Splattershot without Ink Saver (Main) or Ink Recovery Up unless you like to spend a ridiculous amount of time trying to recover ink.

Though the weapon isn't very good as the range is average and the ROF is too low to be useful in close quarters combat. I think the Pro will make up for the range.
15-0 with the roller. :x
Those were some of the sketchiest kills I've ever seen. Apparently 4 hitmarkers with a Splattershot isn't enough.
