Brie Larson isn't on the guest list. Hayden Christensen isn't listed either tho i guess they may choose to keep a few secrets given that they've revealed as much already. then again maybe the anti-PT policy is real. whole lot of random people, hangers on, Marvel folks, scenesters are going to be there but there seem to be some names conspicuously missing.

but don't worry, it's only the final film concluding the Skywalker saga. not anything important. and hey - the guy that played total duchebag Zack Morris in Saved by the Bell will be there! some SNL flunkies too!

maybe they will re-create the Holiday Special in an attempt to meme their way to victory.

Kind of ripping off a Reddit comment from above here, but weirdly, given the descriptions, Palpatine looks more normal than he did in Sith.

Guess everything is true. Tbh, I thought the leaks were a good enough patch-job on an out-of-control freight train, but that seems to be a bit of an unpopular perspective.

Rey completes her Mary Sue journey by winning the final battle single handedly, but somehow also dying, leaving a 'too good for this world' perfect corpse.

Kylo Ren then brings her back to life with the power of love and dies instead.

Rey then makes herself a 'new' lightsaber by taking Luke's and Leia's apart and using the bits, moves into Luke's old house on Tatooine and declares that 'She's the Skywalker now.'.

Something I realize about the ST....

It has a serious lack of bizarre and funny aliens.

The OT gave us all sorts of weird and fun aliens each new film whether it was Chewie or Yoda or Jabba.

The PT was full of them.

The ST seriously lacks any good new aliens and this bothers me.

I think they were so focused on creating a diverse HUMAN cast they forgot what made SW special by having diverse SPECIES.

Don’t think it is supposedly only two ghosts in the film are Luke and Leia. Anakin only has a voice over. JJ really hates that PT

At least Phasma isn't back, I guess? Which begs the question, what is Finn's character arc now? Can't seem to find anything in the leaks to suggest that he actually has any business being in the movie..

So much disappointment.. It was actually pretty exciting all the way up to the second half of The Force Awakens.. There was a very interesting story that could be told right there.. But then thestarted rolling and kept rolling and rolling downhill, so far that I still can't believe it could roll so low. The Prequels will likely be regardsed as better than the Sequel shitshow in hindsight.

And to think people thought Disney would deliver them from Lucas.. *dead*

Then I see the same people praise the series for doing what “the classic myths” did

I’m like you illiterate slob, people fall in love all the time in classic myths. Starting a family is something people do in myths because they do it in real life.

Why did Disney shit all over the original Star Wars?
I wasn't a big fan but I enjoyed the six movies and some games. I even picked up some books to read on the beach years ago. Now all I feel about Star Wars is sadness that the thing I liked was fucked. I can't believe this is the sequel trilogy! I didn't even get to see the original three in one scene together!
Now some girl characterised mostly by fast breathing moves into Luke's old house and takes his name, what the fuck?!

At least we got Rogue One...

Rogue One was full of nonsense as well, Krennic leaving the planet knowing the child was still there when life scanners are canon, mind reading monster, Jyn attacking the rebels that free her, rebels holding crimes committed against the empire against Jyn, blowing up an entire city to silence it thinking news of it wouldn't get out.

Those range from inconsequential to minor plot holes. Nothing close to the level of the ST bullshit. Not by a long shot.

Well, if Krennic's troops found Jyn with life scanners at the beginning, or even used stun to shoot the wife like with Leia, would've resulted in a very different movie than what we got.

This. Rogue One had it's flaws, but it was still overall a good and enjoyable movie, and I appreciated that it was grying to do something a bit different from the main trilogies off in it's own, mostly self contained, side story.

I'd actually say it's my second favourite after Empire infact.

Rogue One was a terrible movie overall.

I did not see it until two years after it was released, and when I finally had the time to watch it, I was sure that I would love it.. Then I watched it all and could not believe what a complete train wreck movie full of absolutely horrible writing, plot, and characters it was. The only good thing about it was that it felt familiar for being the original trilogy aesthetic, and they sure did milk that aspect through and through.

As a final note, I have no idea where the CGI department went so wrong while making this movie but that CGI Tarkin and CGI Leia were the icing on the shit-cake.

The only good Star Wars movie that got produced since the OT is Solo as far as I'm concerned. It's a solid movie, it's a good Star Wars story, but Rian Johnson pissed off everyone so much that Star Wars fans decided to boycott the only good movie that came along in two decades.

Ironic? I don't know. Fuck Disney is all I can say.

Cassian Andor introduced killing a rebel sets up “oh he’s not afraid to do things dirty” then he goes on a mission to kill Mads, which makes no sense if you are trying to GAIN intel not destroy it. Then he has a change of heart (?) and doesn’t kill him. Even tho that’s his mission. Then the rebels come in and kill him anyways. It’s utterly stupid and nonsensical. A lot of the movie is this way. That said it is probably the best one they did.
